Seems other tribes in Nigeria don't matter again because i suppose the Government only recognizes the hausas. Hausa and fulani na dem dey dominate executive offices in Nigeria. Sometimes i tend to see reasons why people say the president wants to islamize the country.

Can't the appointments to these offices to fair to all tribes and religion as long as the candidate is qualified.

Shame on the government.

I have been working in the oil and gas industry for over 16 years. Started my career in Bonny Shell Terminal, and worked in Europe ,America and Australia.

The truth must be told once and for all, the youth of Niger Delta are fools for not holding their Governors, IOC community reps and chiefs to ransom.

The IOC did not sign contract with Niger delta to explore oil nor did they receive OML / OPL license from Niger Delta host communities. Where do you think IOC get money to develop fields ? PSC contract / JV agreement with NNPC are mostly funded by these IOC with huge risk on their heads. IOC do huge CSR and the host community reps/ chiefs takes everything.

Also DPR don't even have the exact volumes of crude oil produced and exported from Nigeria, Note sealine valves at export jetty/ SBM can't be operated without DPR rep in attendance and also the UFM / control room is also to be monitored jointly by the IOC/ DPR rep.

NLNG Finima is another thing I will remain silent about. Nigeria is a banana republic !!

Indeed it is

@MagnaB since you are convinced within you that you would surely secure the pending admission, you can go ahead and apply with the present offer,if you have everything ready and when TRV is approved, you will update the new offer DLI on ur CIC account to notify them about the changes
But i am currently ongoing my nysc program and it is to be concluded may next year and my program begins September next year. I know nysc certificate is needed but can i still present them with something else as proof my program ends before i leave for my masters program.

Also i have heard that paying some part of the school fees gives u an edge on application success which i cannot currently do for this present admission i have locked as i haven't made up my mind yet on that

I will appreciate if i can get some little help here. I applied to university of ottawa and university of Ontario Institute of technology (UOIT) for a Master's program in Engineering Management around June July this year 2016 but University of Ottawa declined me an offer but i got an offer there of from UOIT as regards the same course. I am not satisfied with UOIT's world ranking and i feel if i want to study over there, i should do it big.
So i paid for acceptance fee just to lock that opportunity and deferred the admission till September 2017.
With this i bought time to apply to another school (University of Windsor) and my application is still in progress with them.

Now i need other opinions (expert opinions) about UOIT as a school and what they feel or know about them.
What is your take about the course engineering management as it is not a common course and only a limited schools over there offer it.

Another question is can i proceed with visa application using uoit as cover even though i am hopeful luck shines on my side and i get another offer from other schools but if yes, won't it be detrimental to my visa application since i may have to pay some of d school fees just to show commitment.

Career / Re: What Yardstick Would You Use To Measure Success In Your Career by MagnaB: 11:19pm On Dec 03, 2016
Hidentity:
Friend, I think that this question is more of an individual thing than general. In my circle of friends, our measure of career success even varies, but there are common grounds. Let us examine some:

1: Expertise and professionalism

What can I rate myself in my field? Am I just some regular guy in this field or some expert? What makes me that expert? E.g if you are a lawyer, in how many areas of law can I deal well? If I focus on just an area, how good am I? And can the firm release me for a client on a transaction and be rest assured all Is will be dotted and Ts crossed?

2: Financial reward/Salary

I have read a lot of posts where people are advised not to 'chase' money at the start of their career because it will come. I do laugh. What does chasing mean? If you follow that to the letter, you may not be successful career wise. Chase money, but do it within the ambience of the law. Ensure you get paid for your service. A terrible pay will most likely affect career growth. No matter how good you are, no matter how hard working you are, the reward for your efforts must be proportionate or near proportionate to help with the mental and material growth which will put you in a great mindset to give your career what it takes to grow. So, your pay can tell how far you've gone vis-a-vis career too.

3: Caucus standard

No matter where you work or your pay, there is always a meeting point for you and those at your level in the same profession or even other professions sometimes. How do you do in those meeting points? If you're on the line, it is a sign your career is going well. Mind you, know the difference between things they achieved which are unconnected to career e.g if they all have cars and you don't, it might be more of a question of choice than growth.

4: Achievements

Make a list and be fair to yourself. Start from your day one. Don't go including how you're good at making jokes at work. That's no career achievement. Look at things like: The transactions you're Involved in, and the feedback from the clients. Look at your great suggestions that helped the firm out of a tight corner, look at how you do with urgent works etc. If you're some regular employee whom the office won't bother to question his attempt to resign, you need to work more on your career. You're either not building the right career or building the right career in a wrong way.

5: Professional Popularity

This is not easy to achieve on a big scale as a beginner. But there are ways you can look at this from your immediate working environment. What does your employer and colleagues have to say about you vis-a-vis your work? How deft are you at thinking outside the box? Have you been perceived as the future of your profession or even addressed by the names of some big shots in your field? I don't mean people who call you Fawehinmi because you always argue, I mean people who call you that because of your productive inputs.

6: Experience

List the professional experience you've had. Almost always, these are not ones that can be found in everybody. People always look at some icing on your cake. A client who is aware that an area has seasoned lawyers in the field of election matters will be super impressed when you're that lawyer who is deft at election matters and also maritime law.

7: Personal Conviction

What do you think of yourself and your career?
This is important because no matter how good, sound, popular, intelligent and deft you are, there is that inner man that identifies the truth for you, even when the whole world doesn't know it.

God bless you. You wrote well. All evidences points at u as a lawyer. Great job, learnt somethings already from you.

INTROVERT:
PLAUSIBLE BECAUSE OF THE LOW CENTER OF GRAVITY AM SEEING.

op, how much hp does the lykan hypersport pull?
Lol. Leave toyota and let them continue to fool themselves. Ok fine the suv abi na car has an engine hp of 2000hp but where did toyota leave their calculations. If they intend it to be probably faster than today's Lamborghini then where is the design for that aside the low center of gravity. Didn't they consider aerodynamic drag that will affect their car design with the shape of the front. I hope to see both products race tho before my pessimism can be erased hopefully if i am not right which i am sure i am.
Phones / Re: What Does Dual, Quad, Hexa, Octa And Deca Core Means??? by MagnaB: 9:57am On Nov 02, 2016
hiidee:
Processors are named according to their numbers of complete independent units known as cores. Dual as you already know means double or two, quad means four so same thing is applicable with processors. Dual core processors are processors made up of two cores. Quad core processors are made up of 4 cores and so on. So once the number of cores is high, the performance and task handling will be more faster.
Let imagine, a work to be carried out by four mens of Group A and the same work to be carried out again by 8 mens of Group B. This already clearly shows that Group B will finish the work before Group A finish their’s. Same thing is applicable to cores, when you have deca-core processor (10 cores), task handling will be faster than when carried out with hexa core processor (6 cores).

Career / Name That Fantasy Job You Wish For. by MagnaB: 2:26pm On Nov 01, 2016
I am sure we all have a job we fantasize about about and wish we are do for a living or for pleasure. For some it is being a medical practitioner, for some maybe being an astronaut or maybe a boxer grin (funny, right?). Well we all i suppose have some job we wish for even though we are not currently in the line or don't even have the opportunity to do so.
For me, i wish to be a Formula 1 (F1) driver. Nothing will give me that joy driving and winning my races than this job. That prestige that comes with being known as the king of the road or a DK wink is just enough for me but as i earlier mentioned, it can only be a fantasy job becuase I don't even live in the developed part of the globe, i am not currently trained to perform those skills at the moment although i drive excellently (trust me on this) and will take probably muuuuch more experienced than i am to smoke me out although i am an extra careful driver as well as life no get duplicate and last lastly sef, we don't even have companies and organizations that arrange stuffs like this in this part so i have resolved to stay an Electrical Engineer which i am and probably develop my managerial skills as well know everyone needs a skilled manager who also has technical skills to run daily activities of an organization smoothly.

So that is my own fantasy, how about you telling us yours.

Please what can I do, my husband seems to be addicted to porn and masturbation. He does it at every opportunity he has, even on our matrimonial bed and it's quite disgusting.
Please read online on how to break apart from masturbation as i know from experience masturbation is a monster that should be dealth with. Also, the key thing here is prayer. Pray for him that he genuinely repents of this evil and also speak to him tenderly to find out if he believes the action is wrong as admitting is a first step that shows change, then advice him to as well pray about it. Also i will implore u both to read the scriptures more often, from there is wisdom and all you need to live an upright life. I believe he can change.

Phones / Re: Which Browser Is Better Than UC Browser? by MagnaB: 7:08pm On Oct 05, 2016
henryobinna:
it depends,
mainly there are two mobile browsers from Ali Baba's.
The UC mini and UC browser.

the UC mini doesn't load JavaScript (little or no support for JS), UC browser is the full version that supports JavaScript.

now comparing UC browser (the one with JS support) with other browsers, I'd say chrome is by far better, yes by far except for downloads, UC browser can perform better Than most other Android browsers both in downloads and browsing experience.

UC mini in comparison with opera mini, uc mini is faster than opera mini but opera mini has by fat better browsing experience. in downloads, UC mini beats opera mini hands down. though of recent the UC mini seems to load JavaScript but not as should be.

personally, I use UC mini for downloads, opera for browsing some specific sites(NL included) Chrome as the main professional browser. I seldom use UC browser for anything, maybe checking out some specific sites.

from my explanation, OP you'd know you should have been specific to get what you're looking for.

I thought i was the only one with that experience. Like you said, they all have what they do well at differently.

For how long will this unsustainable scheme of the government last. Obviously in this time of recession the government may be finding it hard to make adequate plans for this ones, how many bags of rice and other foodstuffs will the government buy before they discontinue the project. I believe the government should empower these ones and make them useful to their society instead of being a burden on the government.
