PoliticsRe: Petrol Subsidy Hits N1.69bn Daily by major466(m): 10:56am On Jul 20, 2015
onatisi:
bro, did buhari actually say all these ? If he did then Nigeria is in some deep deep deep very deep problems .
Actually Bubu said he does'nt understand what subsidy is all about; meaning he believes subsidy must be some kind of scam. Today he's singing a different tone contrary to what he stood for before the elections.
Because of desperation for power, they made some Nigerians believe that Subsidy does not exist. They exploited the ignorance of Nigerian populace to scam their way to power.
PoliticsRe: Dasuki’s Bank Accounts May Be Frozen This Week by major466(m): 10:19am On Jul 20, 2015
Before handing over on may 29th, GEJ adviced members of his cabinet to be strong and steadfast because they will be persecuted. True to what the former President said, the Buhari administration has switched its Persecution button.
PoliticsRe: Petrol Subsidy Hits N1.69bn Daily by major466(m):
I thought the APC leadership said Fuel subsidy is scamhuh Something that has been in existence since the 80s.
GEJ tried his best to remove subsidy but was frastrated by Oil Cartels, who took advantage of ignorant Nigerians to protest against it. Today everyone is paying the consequences. Imagine the gain and economic boost Nigeria would have experienced between the periods of 2012 and 2015 had the subsidy been removed. Prices of petroleum products would have reflected international price today.
As it is now going by the President's body language and predisposition to socialism, subsidy of petroleum products will not be removed.

I tell u, broda: dis Buhari of a man is highly vindictive. He has barely started and he's foolishly seeking vendetta. I foresee his administration not ending well. GEJ might end up being better than this man. Buhari is not d kind of a northerner dat shld have been d president of dis country. Atiku shld have been better as a president. He's all out to fight his enemies. They say he will or is fighting corruption, but what of Amaechi and Sylva? Why hasn't he ordered EFCC to arrest him (Amaechi)? Instead, he travelled with him to d U.S. This is totally unfair. I'm Igbo, but i solidly stood for and supported Buhari against GEJ despite all d insults hurled at me by my Igbo brodas, but what i'm seeing now makes me cry.
You'r right. Among all elites of the North, Atiku will make a better President than Buhari.

Wildrage:
This is madness, are we back to the gestapo era of the 80s where the security agencies do not even disguise their diabolical intrigues? Buhari's dictatorial libido still seems pretty high and the sight of real or imaginary enemies must be exciting to his mojo.

Dss presented all the poo they call evidence this morning and it amounts to nothing but deliberate attempt to connect nothing to something. If you do not have enough evidence to prosecute, why the smear campaign in the press? The upshot of this foolishness is to connect Gej to boko haram and God knows they won't be able to manage the resultant conflagration
The govt made excuses that the siege at Dasuki's residence was necessary to prevent him (Dasuki) from commiting treasonable crimes. With excuses like these you begin to wonder whether the 12 vehicles siezed from him is enough ground to charge someone with treason. The Bubu administration is desperately trying to nail the former NSA but they seem confused on what charge Dasuki be charged with. If they opt for corrupt charges, the legality of using DSS for that purpose will raise its head. If they use Treason or Terrorism as charges they will need massive Empirical Evidence. Something they don't have at the moment.
It looks to me like Bubu is becoming paranoid as the days go by. The memory of the coup organised by Dasuki and co is still fresh in his mind.

I don't get it. Are Nigerians uninformed on the game of politics. There is something called LOBBYING in politics. What is important here is his ability to sell the ideology and stance of the PDP to the populace. The PDP is still a Nigerian political party with the intention to leading the country in the next elections. They are not colonialists or aliens. And just for your information there are about 12 million Nigerians who still believe in them, and that number is growing by the day. You need to start selling your own idea to the people and stop all this amateur propaganda. Its not WORKING. This should be a debate of ideas not slander and kiddy attacks. The PDP is a conservative party which believes in economic liberalism and free market policies. The question should be what does the APC believe in.
Excellent!

The legacy of Ogbeni Aregberascal..

The best governor Nigeria has ever seen, the best thing to happen to Osun state beside hunger, the man who took infrastructural development to the next level (in form of opon imo and ifa), the man who thought it better to sponsor a campaign of change chanting billionaires rather than pay the poor their salaries, the man who took Osun state in a relatively good condition but wants to leave it in the best state of dilapidation, the man who always had someone to blame for his woes and bad governance. I greet you baba! grin

The fact that this governor borrowed huge sums of money to engage in frivolities is unimaginable. Still finds it difficult to understand why people of Osun voted him.

But I really wonder at people who believed Buhari will make $1=N1 and on that basis gave away their votes.
Its unbelievable.
PoliticsRe: I Cannot Take Credit For The Revival Of The Refineries - President Buhari by major466(m):
While some see Buhari's comment as show of honesty and sincerity, I view his comment as nothing but a political trick.
You see, Bubu is using underground political psychology to obliterate expectations and disapointments from people.
Pa Bubu knows very well that he made so many impossible promises during the electioneering campaigns. He knew Nigerians elected him based on these promises. Because of that, he is subtly trying to soft-pedal on the promises by dismissing them as campaign gigs. Doing that over a period of time will crash Nigerians expectations. He knows too well that claiming turn-around maintainance as his handywork will excite Nigerians. People will begin to believe in his ability to fullfil his IMPOSSIBLE campaign promises. They will say; wow, for a man to turn around all 4 refinaries within two months in office means that he can make $1=N1 in one year. He knows that taking credit for these refinaries will amplify expectations of Nigerians over the roof. That was why he said what he said. Its all about damping Nigerians expectations.
PoliticsRe: "If You Voted For Jonathan, You're Just As Guilty As He Is" - Obasanjo by major466(m):
Am one of those who voted for GEJ and am glad I did. Though he lost due to evil conspiracies, am proud I voted for him twice in 2011 and 2015.
Despite the challenges, he laid the foundation for a properous Nigeria, result of which is the current rise in electricity supply being enjoyed in some parts of the country.
Therefore as far as am concerned GEJ is the nicest, humble and the most intelligent leader Nigeria ever had. For a meek man like GEJ, as humble as a dove to make a tough worwor looking Alpha Male like OBJ tore down his party card and renounce his membership with PDP in protest to the former's stand against godfahterism in Nigerian politics, that man (GEJ) is certainly a great force to be recon with, not only in Nigeria but the entire African continent. smiley
IF OBJ don't like GEJ because of his new Democracy symbol status, he should go for a swim in the lagoon.

There we go again mantra- past govts did it, therefore we are at liberty to be worse than previous regime.
Why can't we just follow the law of formally indicting, charging and prosecuting people?
A political analyst on Raypower Political platform noted this morning that for APC government to refer back to the previous government to justify its actions after campaigning under the tone of 'Change' is not change, but a continuation of what it use to be. The APC never realised that once a government embark on Change, people will demand for more drastic change.

PoliticsRe: President Muhammadu Buhari: Converted Democrat Or Pretentious Dictator by major466(m): 10:30am On Jul 17, 2015
Are you guys surprised? That was how Buhari ruled as a military dictator in the 80s. The greater part of his administration then was dedicated and buried in campaign of witchhunt against percieved enemies. A leader that signed-up the kidnap attempt against Umoru Dikko via crates, violating international extradition laws and protocol in the name of fighting corruption is devoid of 21st century ideas on how to lead a country in a digital age.
Buhari of 1985 is still thesame person today.

This is why people will continue to doubt and criticize any thing that this APC govt does because they are so used to propaganda and lies that it is difficult to trust them.
How can people trust you when you have a track record of lies?

Trying to always use propaganda to score political points is immaturity. Let your work speak for you and don't try making up stories to make yourself feel important and deceive people into thinking that you are working.

And by the way, what is this constant obsession with GEJ? No day passes without them mentioning his name.
GEJ is no longer in power but they are still playing opposition to him - someone who is somewhere enjoying his retirement.

It seems they are beginning to doubt their ability to fulfil their promises, that is why they are trying hard to portray the past administration in a very bad light so that their own achievements will look big in the eyes of the people even when it is nothing to write home about in the real sense. Grand deception!
APC knows very well they have nothing to offer, so they engage in character assasination against GEJ to cover for their impending failure.

There's more to this story than meets the eye. I believe there are subtle moves going on at the moment geared towards promoting amnesty for Boko haram. Some of those running these campaigns are government officials, one whom is governor Shetima. As far as am concerned, the letter sent to the journlist threathening his life never originated from boko haram. It was from government officials, individuals who believe in amnesty for boko haram by any means necessary. These guys are ready to do anything including violence and intimidation to achieve their goals.

Whats the difference between an 'Official Visit' and a 'State Visit'huh
PoliticsRe: Buhari Shuns Opposition PDP Governors, Leaves For US With Only APC Delegation by major466(m): 2:40pm On Jul 16, 2015
while some Nigerians are busy making noise about Buhari's scheduled trip to America, Americans are not even bothered about Buhari's coming. Apart from State Officials, most Americans have no idea that a Nigerian President is coming to their country.
Funny how Nigerian media houses make a big deal out of Buhar's scheduled visit to United States when the US media organizations at the moment are preocupied with what they consider more important matters like the Confiderates, the economy and Gay issues.
