Rexyl:You don't have any answers. Enemies to whom? I take this to mean you're not only a GEJ supporter but also that you're satisfied with the way he handled it. I don't have a position on this but that of justice to thousands of souls lost to greedy people who turned human suffering to money making franchise. | I only pray (and hope those hiding their heads in the sand, as you're doing) would support in the call for an independent inquiry into the affairs of BH, and whoever is found to be involved, let the full weight of the law take its course. |
Is this photographer an amateur? |
1. Buhari's name begins with B, so does the Bible, the Book of Jesus 2. Buhari too had a humble beginning. He was born in a house that looks like a mudhouse 3. Buhari reared cattle as a child, so is Jesus called the good Shepherd. 4. Buhari had a compassion for Nigerians; so he cried when Jonathan ascend knowing Nigerians will cry, and they did. As for terrorists, while J. was calling them his siblings that he won't he hard on, they're confused even before B. ascends, and they sure know Buhari will hit them hard. 5. While Jonathan's closest friends are three, Buhari's closest friends should be the masses. 6. 7. We don't need Almajiri schools. Let the conventional schools be strengthened and the Almajiri be encouraged/forced to attend. 8. 9. If you can ask Amaechi, Oshiomole, Tinubu, Kashim, Nyako, and even the Almajiris, they'd think their rights have been limited under GEJ. It became worse when we thought only Abati, Omokri, Fayose, Okupe, and their associates had rights. 10. 11. 12. ? 13. It is a mistake to fight with Baba |
Twhizzy93:Where did you hear that? You don't begin your misquotes, which you'll unfairly use tomorrow against him. Somebody open a thread here promising N500,000 to anybody who'll produce an evidence to that effect, but the TANoids weren't able to. |
Rexyl:That's why I said you won't understand. The violence will not abate if FG is not ready to uncover those sponsoring it, which the GEJ administration is not ready to do. Under GEJ, nobody understands what the purpose of BH is except to take away life. People in the north couldn't understand why those who say they want to spread Islam will be attacking commercial areas (markets) and religious establishments (Mosques). In Kano, not only did they bomb the mosque but stationed themselves outside, so that anybody who comes out is gunned down. If you say you're against Western education, what has a mosque and markets got to do with it? The people are right to hold GEJ responsible since he refused to tackle it or tell us who is behind it. And, don't come here blaming others and giving excuses, because constitutionally, nobody is above the powers given the president of Nigeria. |
Rexyl:Well, if you come and start indiscriminate extermination it may be taken as an attempt to destroy the region. |
Rexyl:You won't understand, and maybe you'll never understand Rexyl. You won't understand the level of trust people in the north have about Buhari. The general believe, especially in the northeast, is that somebody planned to exterminate them all if not for the emergence of Buhari. |
anonimi:But come to think of it: 1. Is Abacha so foolish to have taken such monies he's presumed to have stolen to an enemy territory, – Western countries he's been fighting with throughout his regime? Whoever takes his prized possession to a known enemy is a proposition I find difficult to imagine! 2. Why weren't any revelations from the Eastern bloc or the Arab World, where it is expected Abacha would take his money to, since they weren't hostile to him? 3. Ain't we so foolish too to have believed Abacha's enemies that he was the only greatest looter to have emerged since the creation of Nigeria? 4. Didn't Abacha stash billions in Nigerian banks, and why aren't we hearing of it if he did? 5. And how many people know that of all the Heads of State we had, Abacha's father was probably the richest of them all – being an established merchant and industrialist in Kano, even before Abacha's rise to prominence? 6. And lastly, why is there always 'Abacha money' by GEJ and the crew whenever a tsunami is about to consume them(e.g. the looming defeat just before the elections)? |
OP, I've been wanting to open a thread on this topic but you beat me to it. Mine is simple. The day FFK, Okupe, Omokri, Abati, Fayose, Koro, Wike, Babangida Aliyu, Tafida Mafindi are admitted into APC will be my last day with them, though I'll still stick with my Buhari. |
anonimi:Unless if along the way he loses that "sincerity of purpose" he is known for. |
nonjebose:Honestly, I won't complain if she's put in a jail. But why should GEJ, Abdulsalam, etc. be spared and their subordinates punished? I am not asking for them to be left off the hook, but for some Win-Win arrangement. What most people are asking here is that she had to lose everything for them to be satisfied; that the only option should be Win-Lose. |
anonimi:All your efforts of telling us (graphically) that Buhari is the devil wasn't bought. |
anonimi:anonimi, if you get the smallest shame you no suppose talk. |
nonjebose:Buddy, the president has the constitutional powers to forgive wrongs if it can serve the interest of peace. Already Baba has said he won't touch past leaders. Is that not in the interest of peace, reconciliation and healing? If you know the case between Tinubu and Buba Marwa, I think, you will know what I am talking about. Tinubu started to get his focus back (as Lg State governor) when he stopped digging his predecessor's back. |
ROSSIKE:Rossike, I sometimes take issues on a lighter mood. And I am also being realistic. The dirt is so much that if one is to dig it it will take a major chunk of the incoming administration's mental and physical resources. It will also create so much acrimony and enemies for them. A deal is better than the legal route, in the sense that if you're to follow the latter you may not even get the half. Remember, this is a democracy, and Buhari cannot afford to be seen hauling people to jail as that will be seen as being dictatorial. We're raising unnecessary dust as Buhari has touched on this issue. He is so clear that he may look more towards the future than the past. That is not to say serious issues will not be looked into. And how will you deal with Diezani (seriously) without getting to GEJ, something he has promised not to do. | There's so much anger about these people that if not treated dispassionately will derail one's focus. Things should be done in a way not to constitute ourselves into a lynch mob. Hope you're not Rossicky, of the "GEJ till ..." group? |
cyril83:Come on, man. Burdens, looking back, non-forgiveness are negatives that are a drain to spiritual energy. An "eye for an eye" I think is an Old Testament law. GMB was so clear on this matter. As regards old cases, there may be some forgiveness. What he is empathic about is that corruption will have no place in the incoming administration. |
mcdokwe:Sacrifice embodies all those, including death. Death is mentioned because it's the most difficult and the ultimate price. When it comes to it, if you cannot stand in for what you believed in, it only means even those other 'less sacrifices' can be withheld. |
I don't agree with most of you. It is better to cut a deal and let her stay in the country. At least a lot of the money stays here, and the ones outside will be brought in. It will not be good for GMB if people start running out. And in any case, how many will have to run out. There's a Hausa saying (Gaba tafi baya), which GMB himself acknowledges will be a guiding principle in this regard. When translated, it amounts to something like: There are more days ahead than what has passed. |
Madam no fear. Just return half of the money. It's an attribute of the great to have mercy and show forgiveness. That's why God in all his powers is also said to be the most merciful. Buhari will not be so hard on a mother as to put her in jail. |
mcdokwe:But Jesus died for, and you likely believed he didn't die for nothing. You're being literal. It's a metaphor and you know quite what it means. I am just trying to see whether you really take GEJ as a hero, but you failed. |
mcdokwe:Will GEJ die for you? Will you die for him? Will you follow him into a battlefield? Will you place your region unto the hands of GEJ and go to sleep soundly? |
Ifeduba, if you all jump to APC the party will lose its bearings and uniqueness. Up until a few days ago, you were all up for PDP. So, stay where you are and fight it out like we did with Buhari, all these years. |
liljboy:You'll make a good detective. I'll recommend you to Oga as replacement for Ogar. |
There'll be a First Lady. But office of First Lady, no! His late wife was quoted to have said she hears official pronouncements on the TV or radio like everyone else. He said there wouldn't be, and I don't think he'll take back his words. |
OP, I won't open that link. But if you can post the pictures, I can give you Zahra's number. |
Malcolm didn't have that patience Martin had. I think the reason is their background. Malcolm was a hustler, was called 'violent', and even had brushes with the law; while King, with a background in the Church view things from a religious perspective. In that regard, King could be said to be more accommodative, and is likely to have wider appeal, to both races. X's whole philosophy when it comes to Black emancipation can be summarized in the quote below: "Our objective is complete freedom, justice and equality by any means necessary." | On King, this is what he had to say: "He got the peace prize, we got the problem.... If I'm following a general, and he's leading me into a battle, and the enemy tends to give him rewards, or awards, I get suspicious of him. Especially if he gets a peace award before the war is over." But bear in mind it's like he is being "political" here. Actually he conceded that he and King were fighting for the same thing. It's only the methods that differ. | Dr. King had this to say on Malcolm X. Notice the mature, loving and the religious tinge in Dr. King's view. "You know, right before he was killed he came down to Selma and said some pretty passionate things against me, and that surprised me because after all it was my territory there. But afterwards he took my wife aside, and said he thought he could help me more by attacking me than praising me. He thought it would make it easier for me in the long run." |
atlwireles:Help me correct "grave" to"grace" in your last quote. It is a mistake. |
. |
atlwireles:Prosperity not poverty. Haven't you heard the Naira has appreciated, the stocks gained, and even Boko Haram are now eating ice cream, just on the sound of Buhari's boot. If his shadow could achieve this, just imagine what would happen by the time he appears, physically. |
doctokwus: |
atlwireles:The goodwill enjoyed by Buhari, by the grace of God, cannot be frittered away. We are also praying for him. April used to be a hot month in northern Nigeria. On the day he was declared a winner came a heavy harmattan that reduced the unbearable heat. Just to tell you that the spiritual will aid Nigeria in her journey to greatness. All these are good omen. |
