I would tell you for free, the insurance company you start with, would change ownership, multiple times over the duration of your policy........

I have lost count, how many times I got new transfer letters.......

Go with the provider that offers you the best deal, your premiums would keep increasing, every year (the older you get)......šŸ˜‚šŸ˜œšŸ“

Chai! Okay. Thanks for the advice.

So after many years of being on this thread, NO ONE! Not a single person, knows Justwise personally and can come and tell us if heā€™s okay? We should be ashamed of ourselves kiss

I find myself randomly hoping heā€™s okay. Heā€™s never disappeared this long before.

Lol the Russian invasion of Ukraine obviously.A lot of European leaders have been hinting at the possibility of an Escalation into European countries. If youā€™ve been watching the news iā€™m sure youā€™d have caught some it.

But that is nothing new. I thought there was a new war brewing somewhere. Anyhoo.

The government launched a website at the London Defence Conference on emergency planning in the event of floods, blackouts etc etc. https://prepare.campaign.gov.uk and that's what has been making the news rounds, with media houses click-baiting to make it seem more dramatic than it is. I believe the recent water contamination in Devon heightened perceptions of danger as well, because having access to clean water is one of the top recommendations in the guide. Plus, the met has released yellow warnings for thunderstorms in some parts of the country.

There's clearly an increased threat level with the geopolitical situation globally but I don't think there's anything imminent - fingers crossed I don't get proven wrong cheesy

Anyway, other countries have similar guidance published for their citizens so it seems to be par for the course.

Hmm. Thanks for shining more light on it. I heard about the water issue, how it metamorphosed into emergency planning is what confused me. My friend in SW London said some stores are emptying out in a way that is reminiscent of Covid times.

The government should either kill this narrative or you people should please keep this panic in England. We the Scottish do not want to relate smiley

Guys thereā€™s chatter (seems in England only for now) about getting ready for emergencies and stocking up on supplies. Itā€™s like the media know something we do not.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Lol, experience is the best teacher as they say...

Would advise anyone dreaming of the US to hurry and relocate in the next few months before Trump gets in and blocks/restricts certain countries again.

Iā€™ve experienced both. Healthcare in the US is elite and premium but the billing is also premium. Pray that whatever you do, you never fall seriously ill in the US or require intensive care without insurance. Your own is all over.

No o itā€™s paid upfront at the point of transferring the balance from the other card, then thereā€™s no interest as long as minimum payments are met for the period specified.

Edit: from looking at this it appears that the fee will be added onto the balance being transferred, so I guess you can say itā€™s pro-rated since itā€™ll be paid off alongside the original balance:

@Lexusgs430 you should put together a mini ā€˜UK finance for beginnersā€™ course for us that are still floundering in this sea of information. Pity us abeg smiley

God bless everyone that shared info about this 0% purchase credit card šŸ™Œ. I just got approved for 0% for 21months with a generous credit limit. I will start preparing for ILR payment using the card.šŸ˜‹

To the brother who shared the initial issues, God bless you as your gist brought solution to so many people.

I will end my post with a quote from our own Prof: Layi once said ā€œInFO la fi nFOā€ if you donā€™t understand ask a Yoruba friend šŸ˜

Congratulations Oga. Abeg I missed the testimony. Is the purchase credit card different from the balance transfer card? Please explain it small, ILR is knocking for some of us too and the money is plenty.

So basically for anyone here who has carried palm oil to London, what tips/tactics did u implore?

Tie it in small nylon bags- Freeze solid- Wrap in diapers to absorb any moisture in transit. Rinse & repeat.

Does anyone know if having points on your licence can affect your ILR application?

Is it better to plead guilty from the beginning or go to court and contest if you might still be found guilty? This is for a minor traffic violation with no more than the potential for 3 points.

I pay Ā£17/month for virgin media broadband. 250MBps and with three wifi extenders to ensure coverage accross the house. You can use my referal code http://aklam.io/dtoBBO we'll both receive Ā£50 if you use the link.
Virgin and O2 is also linked, so if your contract expires, you can switch over to O2 if the coverage is great in your area and get a good deal as well.

How did you manage to get the wifi extenders please? I need them but reaching virgin to request has been such a hassle.
