It's their private money and private life. Your major concern should be, why a govt will subsidise hajj pilgrimage with a whooping 90bn? |

obaidan: From the days of old, Jerusalem and Mecca steady robbing Nigeria of sense. The country won't subsidize small and medium businesses. This particular problem isn't about Tinubu if Tinubu can remove fuel subsidy implemented by past leaders, what stops him from doing the same on this pilgrimage stuff. This govt is good at introducing policies that will make life unbearable for Nigerians, but never quick at introducing policies to curb excesses and avenues of wastage. We are a secular state, why waste money we don't have on personal engagements like this? This is a country battling with youth unemployment, brain drain, comatose electricity. Tomorrow same govt will go cap in hand to China and get world bank to beg for loans. |

Trojan8: What relationship does increasing capital base have with reducing costs?
The way some of you jump on issues that you have zero understanding of ehn. it has an indirect relationship. Banks that are unable to meet-up with this new capital requirements will either lose their licences or get them downgraded to lesser status. An international bank can lose its licence to become a national bank and so on. When a national bank loses its national licence, it might become a regional bank. What happens to the branches in the regions it chooses not to operate? Staff will be retrenched in such places. |

Now they are even creating more problems in trying to solve the problem they created. Pray tell me why businesses wouldn't want to hedge in dollars? Banks that were all doing well a year ago, are now thrown into possible mergers and acquisition courtesy of govt policy. Currency devaluation, petrol subsidy removal... Cruel policies that brought us here. |

I understand there is inflation and people are going through a lot. You are free to abuse Tinubu and blame him but you don’t have the right to challenge my own support.
You are free to express your anger and I’m free to express my believe. It is a democracy!
Even if fuel sell for 30naira, there will be poor people who won’t be able to afford. Even in 1960 when naira is equal to $1, we still have many poor people. okay, congrats in your believe. My question remains, when last did you buy fuel? |

I buy fuel 650 and I know how hard it's to do so. No light, the heat is much. Can't buy fuel to power the generator due to the high cost. So how do you manage all of these and still eulogise the president? I bought harpic to clean the toilet yesterday, small harpic of 725ml #3500. This is something sold for around 900-1000 by this time last year. So, I'm bemused at how people go through all of these and still say so much positives about the president. |

Even Peter Obi know that he lost woefully which explained why he is running around mosques across the country trying to court the Muslims.
In life, own up to your mistakes. He believed because Tinubu ran a Muslim/muslim, then automatically all Christians will vote him so he went all out on a futile campaign.
How can you use religion to campaign against a Yoruba man? That strategy is weak.
Come 2027, if Tinubu and Atiku still contest, Obi will still carry his usual third position. It is his destiny not to be president. when last you buy fuel? |

The prayer of every man is to be financially buoyant to take care of his home. But in a situation he's unable to do so based on challenges beyond his control from the example posited above, it's rational for the woman to support her husband just so the family will weather the storm. All I expected of her is to say, while my husband contributes all his income to the family wellbeing, I will support his effort with a percentage of my earnings. Be it 20, 30 or what have you. It only becomes unfair when she says my money is my money, his money is what we will survive on. That's not showing empathy and support. Anyways, just do what makes you and keeps your home affloat. Mcslize: And Chinngyyy878, if you don't have money and you rush into marriage, the lamentation will be pro max. Your wife will finish you at home with nagging. You think marriage is a joke?
You will be scared to come home cuz of the nagging wife. She will blame u for everything. Brother, don't foolishly go on to carry burden of marriage when u know you are not financially balance o. You go hear whim.
You think a woman will respect u at home if u can't provide food for the home? The worst is if u marry a selfish woman who wouldn't want to use her own money to assist running the home. You will be the one feeding her as a liability without her contributing anything to the success of the home.
Man, look well before u marry o even if money come. If you marry a very bad woman, you are done for life. You won't have peace of mind o. Forget all those marriages that people are doing every Saturday. Majority don't last past 3 years, marriage don scatter.
So, my advise, remove that desperation of marriage from your mind and focus on your life for now to become financially stable as a man before you even think of anything marriage.
Ask those who are struggling financially and still rushed into marriage. They will tell you their experience. Marriage no be joke o. One thing is to have the money to marry and be financially stable, and another thing is to marry the right woman o.
So, look before you leap! I once met a lady who liked me, and in our conversation I deliberately tried to get her view about finances in marriage. "if the man earns 100k and the woman earns 200k, what should happen in the family as regards spending?" she said the man will utilize his 100k to take care of the family, that she will contribute in buying anything needed in the home anytime she feels like. I enquired further, don't you think the man won't have savings after utilising all his income to cater for the family? She said "he's the man of the house and should take care of the family". In our present day, men and women earn equally at the work place, yet the man is expected to take care of the family with everything he earns, this is unfair. Little wonder men die before their time. After the conversation, I distanced myself. She's not a wife material but a time bomb. |

When you visit places like des, always enquire from them why they are wasting away. Any betshop you visit, 50% of the customers there are unemployed graduates tired of submitting CV's. You can make your findings if you will. Do you know how many companies have folded up since the advent of this new govt. Ponder on whr their workers are now and what they do? Most rely on this bet menace to have succor and hope for the future. I'm not in anyway supporting this anomaly, but rest assured the govt needs to do better. To those quoting me that it is hardship, I know of a barber who owns a shop and have people working under him, he is a bet9ja addict, despite having a big shop, he can't boast of N50k, is that one hardship too blv me idleness leads to this.
