Kwara state has been adjudged as second in infrastructure and economic growth in Nigeria by Africa Report in its July/August issue titled’The State of the States’.Oladipo Magajireports: Kwara state has been ranked second after Lagos in Nigeria in the latest Progress Report, titled ‘The State of the States’ released by Africa Report in its July/August, 2018 issue. The Africa Report is an international publication of reference dedicated to African affairs, and is the guide used by decision makers to anticipate economic and political changes in Africa. The publication is relied upon for the expertise of an independent editorial team in its surveys, sector reports and country focus published in each issue. According to information available on the Africa Report website- www.theafricareport .com, the survey of Nigeria’s 36 states used fighting poverty, providing access to electricity, facilitating business and raising local revenue as indices. In terms of Internally Generated Revenue per capita, Kwara ranks seventh out of the 36 states of the federation while it ranks tenth in the ease of doing business. The State also ranks tenth on the poverty index. In terms of access to electricity, Kwara was ranked third and sixth in number of internet users in the country. The summation of the indices put Kwara at second position in the progress report. The full report can be found on pages 22 to 26 of the July/August, 2018 edition of the Africa Report. Responding to the report, Kwara state governor, Alh Abdulfatah Ahmed described Africa Reports’ ranking of the state as the second highest in the country as an affirmation of his administration’s reform programmes and an acknowledgement of its efforts to enhance the welfare, security and prosperity of all citizens and residents. The governor pledged his preparedness to sustain the administration’s ongoing drive to build a prosperous and sustainable Kwara state for the benefit of current and future generations of Kwarans. https://leadership.ng/2018/08/05/economic-growth-kwara-ranks-second-in-africa/ Mynd44 lalasticlala oam4j |

Prison is your place of sacrifice!! |
" Still sacrifice" ?. Has he ever sacrificed anything for the country?. Do you call stealing of a country's resources a sacrifice?. It's funny. In any case, we don't need your sacrifice. Go and finish with your former vice president. |
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has declared he is ready to again sacrifice himself for the country’s growth, development, peace and unity. He restated that the situation in country presently should not be accepted by "any right thinking" Nigerian. Obasanjo spoke when People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant Attahiru Bafarawa led a 20-man delegation to seek his blessings for his presidential aspiration in Abeokuta. Obasanjo said if he could stand during the civil war for Nigeria's unity, "I will still sacrifice again for Nigeria to have a better country." Obasanjo told Bafarawa, “You are qualified to lead the country in the quest to have the desired change. The qualities included diligence, humility and non-ethnic trait." Obasanjo however noted that for the change to come, "we must all come together to arrive at a consensus." The former governor of Sokoto state had earlier described Obasanjo as a father, whom he must first visit to intimate and seek prayers from about his aspiration. Bafarawa hinted that Obasanjo's guidance assisted in no small measure, the success he recorded during his tenure as the governor of Sokoto state. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/obasanjo-vows-to-still-sacrifice-for-nigeria-again-264295.html Lalasticlala mynd44 oam4j |

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop wooing its members. The party in a statement on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan described as shameless, despicable and hypocritical, "the APC's attempt to woo PDP members into its now discredited and famished fold." The party said, "The PDP describes the move as a failed antic of an apprehended and deflated felon who, in his immoral proclivity, attempts futilely to pull off one last survival stunt before facing the gallows, or more so, a mortally wounded snake furtively seeking for one last bite before its inevitable painful death. "The PDP has nothing but pity for the APC, who, in its blind desperation, cannot see that the train has since left the station and that no body, no matter the lure, abandons a cruising liner, which the PDP now represents, to jump into a sinking ship with a disoriented captain which the APC has become." https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/stop-wooing-our-member-s-pdp-warns-apc-264211.html |
