Mpeace:"Please be informed that we are currently experiencing a technical issue on our itrade server certificate which makes logging in through “Google Chrome browser” pops up an error message. Kindly disregard that error message and follow these steps: Use “Internet Explorer Browser or Opera mini Browser” After clicking on our Itrade URL, if an error message pops up concerning server certificate, kindly click on “CONTINUE BROWSING”; it would take you to our normal itrade login page where you can login and carry out your transaction. However, client that are using a mobile device to trade can continue trading without the error message popping up. You may follow the same procedure with Puffin. Not sure it'll work though. |
Manonamission:So while men slept, the index pitched a 3-month high at 37,365.91 Weh done. |
Mpeace:Foreign exchange gains booked last year is insignificant this year, hence the 'bad' result. FCMB won't crash as such (in my opinion). Left for market to decide |
DeRuggedProf:Would this insider be kind enough to look at my side? Waving from the flour side ![]() |
fxuser:NBST! Dangsugar not smiling |
Dangcem pushing the index up. Well done ![]() |
Agbalowomeri:You decide. That's why you're Agba. |
locodemy:Very inconsistent guy . You mean it's not about 'NUMBERS' in this case? Na you shout Numbers pass ![]() Actually, there's more to numbers than EPS, PE etc Based on Numbers, Transcorp is the most efficient and best run Genco in Nigeria at the moment. Barring any disruptions to gas supplies and transmission issues, TUPL is poised to be the market leader in Nigeria. Currently leads Kainji, Egbin and Afam in terms of average generated capacity. Transcorp (TUPL especially) is on an aggressive growth looking to more than double current generating capacity. TUPL is the cash cow going forward and still enjoys Pioneer status (Tax relief). This is translating to improved revenues and margins. Govt intervention (NBET PAP) is paying dividends already. I'd like to even speculate here that Transcorp's strategy might be both organic and inorganic growth. So it's not impossible to read of an acquisition of one of the power plants up for sale. Whoelse should be given the nod, if not an efficient and capable hand? HEY! JUST SPECULATING! The hotel business is suffering a bit compared to previous years on account of the closure of the Abuja airport(now reopened), renovation project and lull in political and economic activities. I must warn the OS is scary at 40.6B but the market will reprice this stock as the 'Numbers' become simpler or are translated to easy-to-understand metrics. Also note that TUPL is not wholly owned by Transcorp PLC. Non-controlling interest is another issue with this company Disclaimer: I am in this bus so my ability to make sound judgement could be severely compromised. If you got dirt on Transcorp, please be kind enough to throw it up otherwise forever remain silent in Tritritri's voice ![]() |
In Fxuser's voice; Dangsugar gap up |
Agbalowomeri:What's the name of your bus and who's the driver? |
tritritri: ![]() This guy sef.......discover your talent abeg |
locodemy:Loco! Loco!! Loco!!! How many times did I call you? Don't tell me you have come again o. What news is cooking in Transcorp that you have been talking about since? |
@Samguru Are these fresh revelations or you knew all these about the company when you were targeting N4? I assumed the reconstruction news was the only problem the 'Numbers' crew had against this stock. Na wa o ![]() |
I advise everyone to put up for sale the Japauls, Daarcom, IEIs of this NSE. The core investors might be willing to set us free. |
NoMoney:I can authoritatively tell you that Chevron won't pay you 250m rentage for your property of N1B except it's going to be theirs after the 5 years. My brother if it was that easy to make money, we will be seeing N1000 bills on the ground every now and then.Looks to me like the money will be used to service long standing debt that has been bugging the company and then fresh debt raised for the future. No be small thing. Reminds me of Japaul (Jegede, God is watching you o). The company paid dividends for a few years, gave bonus and then came for a Public Offer. They wanted to increase their fleet to take advantage of the Cabotage Act. He also mentioned earning in dollars then. Chai see ego They purchased Tug boats and all. The rest is history. My point is, don't make assumptions that can be too costly. I see you have done a lot of work in researching the pros of this investment. You should put in double effort to unearth the risk. Thereafter you can go for it with all that you have got, if convinced. I want to assume you have done this sha. The company appears to be growing but doesn't look stable to me. Anyway, we all take risk. Yeah, the stocks in our different portfolios represent that. All the best bro. |
NoMoney:That a company is making projections or calculations doesn't mean the market will rubber-stamp it. The reconstruction is 4 to 1 i.e one share for every four previously held. The reconstructed shares have to be relisted and left to the market forces to price. The management can't tell where the pendulum will swing from post-consolidation price. Capitalization could drop or increase depending on market perception of the stock. Equity Capital raising is likely a mix of rights, PP and Depository receipts. Nothing is certain yet. Also note that the company is planning to borrow N20B in addition through issuance of bonds. Closure date: 20th to 24th Nov. ( I guess ref price for the reconstruction will be closing price on the 20th) Good luck to everyone embarking on this journey with C&I Disclaimer: This is a personal opinion. My assumptions could be wrong too.

NoMoney:Conclusions like this can lead to "NoMoney" Na joke o ![]() |
currentprice:Cc everyone that complains and comes with conspiracy theories when a negative opinion is given about a stock in which they hold positions. We are not your village people o Opinions will always be given whether it favours you or not. |
chunkuli:Arrgh!!! You just had to put me on the spot. Well, depends on your investment objective. Don't expect any significant appreciation until well into the new year. Price will range for the period of the rights and considering the limited number of trading days (holiday season) after the closure of rights, not much to expect. I suggest a four months holding period to reap the gains of your investment (short term horizon). It's a BUY for the long term in my opinion. This is a personal opinion. |
BullBearMkt:Rights issue ongoing at N16. To close 22nd Dec. |
Dangsugar stands the risk of closing flat even though it's on full bid. |
DeRuggedProf:O'boy! Someone can not play with you again? Na night class I go abeg My post was directed to Agbalowomeri actually. |
DeRuggedProf:Let us know your revised entry price then. ![]() Abi you still dey wait for N15? ![]() |
https://nairametrics.com/top-nigerian-banks-spend-n19-5-billion-on-travel-in-2017-9-months/ Why is it difficult to replicate GTB's feat?
|
tritritri:It's safe to assume it is. It's in the news already. |
leo1234:Wetin consign agbero with overload? "Currentprice" deals with numbers. Seeing is believing. |
Coolcash1: Say I don old be that o. I counted 32 sha (16 up, 16 down).Until there's further clarity, I'll stick to my interpretation/position. Let me post Note 27 again and please take note of "Plant and Machinery". To help you ![]() https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/technicalmanual/ch25-36/Chapter31/part6/part4/part_4.htm "31.6.93 Plant and machinery - general Generally speaking, plant and machinery is an asset that is used by a business for the purpose of carrying on the business and is not stock in trade, the business premises or part of the business premises [note 1]. The difference between plant and machinery is that generally machinery will have moving working parts, and plant will not (though computers and similar electronic devices are considered to be machinery, despite have no moving parts). The working parts of a machine are also considered to be machinery."

bigjay01:Dangote noodles (finshed products) and Dangote Noodles plants. They are not buying Dangote Flour shares. The transaction is a De United foods to Dangote Noodles deal. No where was DF referenced. It is expected that their would be Dangote noodles still in the inventory that needed to be sold. You must also realise that the Noodles business was a going concern with daily operations and workers. Besides, De United is expected to continue producing DANGOTE NOODLES for a few more years which justifies the 'stock' purchase. Otherwise, DF would have had to continue marketing+distribution of the stock left. Disclaimer: This is my understanding of the report and what makes sense to me. |
Mpeace:45mil units!!! I claim it in Jesus name. Flesh and blood did not revealed this to you. I no go fit reject am. ![]() |
Princkez:Stock -the total amount of goods or the amount of a particular type of goods available in a shop (cambridge dictionary) In other words, finished products available for sale . Stop allowing your bias play tricks on you. ![]() |
