The depreciation was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large capitalised stocks, amongst which are; Nigerian Breweries, Dangote Sugar, Zenith Bank, FBN Holdings and UBA

THIS IS bad for business
Bros,

You just took a bit part and formed an opinion. In actual fact, reverse is the case. The Nigerian stock market has done pretty well of late....

Analysts attributed the drop in indices to profit taking by investors on the exchange. According to them, investors leveraged the price appreciation recorded in the past few days to recoup their investment.

Despite the decline, they reiterated that stock prices remain attractive, making room for bargain hunting in value stocks, amidst still-positive macro-economic fundamentals.

I recently ended a thing with a lady and damn she didn’t take it well.

She was annoying, but I told her I was simply too busy with work and other things and she was pushing for something more serious.Truth was, i easily grow bored whenever a relationship stretches for more than a month

After I told her I had no intention of getting serious, out came the shaming tactics “You’re not a real man are you” “You’re just a fuckboy” “Don't let your look deceive you. you can't get anyone better than me” “Maybe I should send a guy friend to Bleep you up” “You wasted 2 months of my life” "you took advantage of me because i was vulnerable"

Now the whole time she’s saying all this, I kept thinking of the phrase women use to shame and shut down men who get aggressive over being rejected, “you’re not entitled to anybody’s love or affection”

So I decided to use it. I said “you’re not entitled to anyone’s love or affection” And she hit the roof telling me, “I can Bleep any guy I want, I can have a new guy every day if I wanted”

I gotta admit, it felt pretty damn good to use that on a chick.

Well sweetheart, why are you wasting time arguing with me? Go do that then!!

Typical woman. Feels entitled to my time but if I was being billy beta and getting Aggro about her not committing I’d get told I’m not entitled to her love and affection

7. Rich Guys Believe Broke Ladies Are Gold Diggers!

This we all know is a fallacy of hasty generalisation, but the world in general live by fallacies of generalisation and nobody can change it.

Again, majority of broke ladies are truly gold diggers and this unhealthy attitude of most have ruined the chances of broke ladies getting married to rich guys.

In developed countries like USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, etc, you can never see a rich guy getting married to a poor lady because they don't want the lady to later divorce them and file for child support and alimony, which usually runs into hundreds and millions of hard currencies.

So in the western world, laws and policies helped in stopping rich guys from marrying broke ladies and in Africa, gold digging, hungry attitude, pressure from the poor girl's family are part of the reasons rich guys avoid marrying broke ladies.

I think broke, average and semi average ladies have a big task to change this bad mentality successful men have about them for things to change for good in future.
I think these category of ladies are predators. These are the lazy ones that have purposed to live off men for the rest of their lives. Is it a poor -lady phenomenon? I can't conclude. I think the society is much more complicated than a simple generalization like this. Check x scenarios
1. Rich actors, sports stars and musicians who mostly come from poor background end up in many cases marrying models and actresses. Their marriages is fact becoming a 10-meter sprint.
2. Societies that have the Alimony system encourage both the rich and poor ladies with predatory intent.
3. Rich girl without proper values, work-ethic and orientation may not be different from a typical gold-digger. Someone has been paying her bills since childhood, someone must continue to pay her bills.

6. What The Society Will Say!

Against all odds, some rich guys who by nature's making fell deeply in love with broke ladies end up not marrying the broke ladies simply because of what people will say, what his rich friends will say, and what the society in general will say.

It is not that easy for a truly rich and famous young man to marry a poor lady he picked from nowhere, the odds of it happening in today world is very slim.

Especially now that we have social media broadcasting every single step we take in life, most rich guys hate negative media because it may affect their business, career or family reputation and political image.
I pray rich people "wean" themselves from this position. We are having too many failed marriages because people don't marry their friend

5. Broke Ladies Are Very Difficult To Please!

Contrary to what many guys believe, rich ladies are easy to please unlike the broke ladies.

A rich lady may gush over a rose flower you got for her, but a broke lady will never do that but will only be pleased when you buy her reigning expensive clothe or gadget, and this mentality of broke ladies unknowingly to them, distracts rich guys.

A rich guy out of love may feel getting his broke girlfriend a rose flower or something like that as bday present, and to his greatest surprise, the lady was expecting the latest iphone or even a car which she may unknowingly show, and end up making the guy cancel her from his top list of would be
I have been out of "the game" a long time........hence my tots may be different

1. It is natural that boy friends get gifts for their ladies. The choice of gifts should not be static. Ones the relationship gets to a level, mutual exchange of gift is good. Choices will now depend on many factors - level of appreciation, spice, cover gaps and sometimes strategy etc. I bought my girl friend (now wife) her first phone by intuition and ended up a good strategy. A richer "toaster" back then was late to the game. She simply told him he shouldn't bother as it is of no use to her. This "toaster" called me to tell me himself that I beat him to his game.

2. Even though my wife was into the "flower" business at a time, we both still feel some of some borrowed culture may not be adaptable in our society. For some ladies flowers will not be appreciated, and this does not make them classless. Not all rich ladies even appreciate flowers. People should not live in denial. When I was dating my wife, she had preference for cakes of various and exquisite kinds, perfumes and wines. So my waka had to do with backers, perfumery and wine shops........

3. It is also important that guys should not just work from a template. Each lady is unique. Get to know her preferences. Observe stuffs like here favourite colours (so when you buy stuffs), her favorite spots and other orientation. Don't bring flowers if she prefers a phone. Absolutely yes. If this is the girl you feel good with, you wanna spend the rest of your life with......then get her what your heart tells you

4. Being Financially Dependent or A Liability is Not Romantic!

Forget the Yahoo boys who just jam money by chance or crook, hence, their broke guy mentality or poverty mentality is still in them, which makes them run back to their class of ladies....

Truly rich guys and those from rich family backgrounds have been groomed to respect money...they have grown to understand that being financially productive is a major quality every human must possess....for this reason, they tend to dislike people who depend so much on them financially or those who keep running after them for money and material favor....this is one reason many men start keeping distance from their old time friends once they become financially successful.

If you want to sustain your friendship with anybody in life, try not to be a liability to them, especially financial liability or else, they will flee from you no matter how rich they are.

Try and be contributing something meaningful to your rich friends if you want them to stick around you for long or else, they will flee from you.

So as a lady, if you want that rich guy to stay for long and possibly consider you for marriage, then you must stop being a financial burden always begging for one favour or the other....rich guys are so used to people begging them for money and favour, so you being his girlfriend or lover, you are not supposed to become another financial liability to him, or else, you will start to become unattractive to him
@bold is true.

Your advise should not be limited to ladies alone. Some men also want to "leach" off their rich friends, hence such get cut-off

3. Most Broke Ladies Have Disgusting Mentality & Money Attitude That Repel Successful Guys!

How do you explain the life of a lady who is so fixated on her mobile phone chatting with every Dick and Tom trying to hook up to the extent it becomes her habit, such that even while she is still with Jesus Christ, she will still be looking for the Savior cry cry

You are with a very promising young man on a date or something, but you are busy chatting and smiling with some unknown Yahoo boys living in Malaysia or some Janitors living in California, who only dresses up after his Janitor work and rushes to pose in front of McDonalds to snap some cool pix and tag it: Lunch Time! Ah my sister, you have joined bad gang cheesy cheesy

Due to chronic poverty and years of suffering, most ladies' mentality has been raped front and back, they believe taking them to shopping denotes true love and buying them the latest iPhone means you will marry them, ah ah....is that how you used to do Aunty mehuh

Men generally don't like spending much on the lady they truly want to settle with because they know that whatever they have belongs to her, so whats the need trying to impress with what she will still get to enjoy to the fullesthuh

Most times, men spend lavishly when they want a lady; probably a new catch to open legs lavishly and very fast at that, so they use heavy spending within a twinkle of an eye to blind her reasoning and before she knows it, she is screaming....daddy ejoor, egbami o shocked shocked cheesy cheesy

Most broke ladies want to live Davica Daloca lifestyle at the expense of some mumu guys, and with time, this becomes their way of life, which repels successful young men they want to marry cool
This depiction is that of a greedy and materialistic girl....such traits is not limited to poor girls. I hazard a guess that there are many decent poor girls, whose demands are even next-to-nothing.

2. Their Parents Won't Allow Them to Marry Broke Ladies!

My brothers and sisters, haven suffered so much and later you are able to climb out of that poverty hole, believe me, you will never wanna go back there, neither would you want your children, grandchildren and even siblings to go back there, never!

This is why rich men fix marriage for their sons and daughters to also marry sons and daughters of their fellow rich friends. It is as easy as that, and please don't blame them....blame Mr. Poverty for showing them pepper while poor shocked shocked

By chance, some rich guys, guys especially do come across ladies from broke or poor family background they wish to marry, but most often, these dream gets murdered by their parents who will go extramile to ensure their children dare not make the mistake of marrying a broke lady, its sad, but that's the reality, so if you are a broke lady and you are dating a rich guy, my sister....don't rejoice yet because the doomsday will come...that day he will present you to his family and everyone is like....who is she? what does she do for a living? who is her dad? which school did she finished from?

Don't give up....in every rule, there is always an exception and who said yours can't be the very few exceptionshuh Please don't forget to send me your wedding invitation so I can at least come chow some free chicken and still go home with free wedding box gift, Fatima Dangote's wedding comes to mind cry cry
This narrative is overused and overrated. Check some scenarios

1. Rich guy marries rich girl because the truly fell for each other
2. Rich guy marries poor girl because he was smitten by her.....and the parents support it cos they want what makes their son happy
3. Rich guy marries poor girl because rich mother in-law wants a WIFE and not slay mamas, undomesticated-makeup-barbie, girls without "culture-intelligence", outright-lazy-rude-disrespectful girls etc. As such she influences the choice of the son. This presupposes that there is that bond between rich mama and son.
4. Rich guy marries rich girl because aside affection, she fits into the positive narrative depicted in (3) above
5. Rich guy don't send - Rich or Poor, gimme a good woman

angryHey ladies and gents, I am here to reveal to you, some of the major reasons rich guys marry rich ladies.

This thread is not talking about some classless guys who by chance or luck or whatever reason stumbled upon big money not really wealth per se because wealth comes with persistent gathering of riches with years.

So before you read further, note that Yahoo boys and their likes are not rich by my own standard!

Truly rich guys don't and will never marry a poor or broke lady, and you know whyhuh

1. Their Daily Activities Run Opposite Direction:

The picture you paint here is a case of a lazy lady not a poor lady.

In as much as majority of women wish, desire and daydream of getting married to a rich guy, many won't achieve this not because they are not pretty and sexy, but because their daily activities does not match with the daily activities of rich guys, which makes it highly impossible or let me say, difficult for rich guys to get to see them often.

For instance, Paddy Adenuga who we all know is a rich guy, wakes up, prepares and heads straight to his office to start the day's business activities, where he will be probably be meeting with other top company CEOs, directors, top bank marketing executives, brand ambassadors, etc, and maybe during lunch, he drives down to his usual lunch spot at maybe Lagos Atlantic or any other top class restaurant to have his lunch, and probably heads back to his office from there to continue meeting with other top executives and business gurus in his field.

While he is doing all these....Folake, a very pretty girl who has been daydreaming of marrying a rich guy like Paddy Adenuga is at home with her phone logging in from Instagram to Facebook to Snapchat to Badoo to Twitter, changing her best photoshopped and filtered photos hoping to catch one rich guy that will end up marrying her.

Folake refuses to get busy with a career or business that will increase her chances of meeting potential successful guys.

Advice to Folake:
Start a business and be dedicated to it, or get a job, if you can't get one, learn a trade, something like fashion designing, etc, maybe from there, you might get to make a dress that Paddy Adenuga's sister or niece likes and from there, she makes you her regular designer and gets to introduce you to her family members and you may probably get to meet Paddy Adenuga or other of his rich brothers and cousins who may probably fall for your beauty haven get to see you as a dedicated, hardworking, pretty fashion designer and not just a usual fine girl they come across everyday and possibly chop and clean mouth undecided
You just depicted a lazy girl and not a poor girl

Nice move by the FEC because the kind of discrimination polytechnic graduates face in some private establishment is really alarming. The problem now might be that it will become hard for those that have gotten their OND to get admitted to further in the B.tech category. Let hope this reformation in the tertiary institution works for the best.
The reform itself should be all encompassing. It is also about redesign and restrategising the curricular of Poly education for better fit into technology drive in the govt and private sector. I noticed some interesting things in the report

1. All non-Technology based courses will be scrapped
2. Polytechnic will now become campuses of proximate universities. The VC's will then appoint Rectors - This potentially slippery but will be interesting how this pans out. Will the B.Tech then be awarded by the proximate universities or the Polytechnics?
3. Current HND certificate elevated to same levels with B.SC. Private sectors are not obeying this rule
