Dayg88: Then tell me what convinces you that the building is actually worth the cost? Who is talking about hotels in South Africa, the Scotland yard is there for you to look at. At least the finishes and the gadgets/equipment in it were not made available to us. 1.Can you not see the contradiction in your submission here? 2. In your rush to use Scotland yard as basis, a simple google search would have shown you this report The Yard - also known as the Met, short for Metropolitan Police Service - is trying to slash US$800 million from its budget over the next 2-1/2 years.
That has meant looking at selling the family silver, or in this case, some of the force's large property holdings - stations, operation centres and the like.
The current headquarters, which the Yard has occupied since 1967, costs nearly US$18 million a year to maintain and is in need of a US$80 million upgrade, making it an "expensive luxury," Deputy Commissioner Craig Mackey said. He acknowledged the iconic value of the site, but said policing came first.

Dayg88: ...............
so gave your opinion which I can't question, but you're not even giving me a valid reason why the building will cost that much. Like different people posted on the thread which I did confirm some, there are a few buildings which are similar to this said one and the cost is not even close to the cost of this. Now an argument can even be made for it that they were not constructed in the same time period. Don't justify something that is not even realistic. If you truly are in the construction sector and you believe the cost of this building is true, then there must be a problem. If you tell me the basis of my analysis are unfounded, i will not argue with you. Try and get more information like you said and then out me to work so I will prove you wrong. 1. Similar buildings? You mean the hotels in South Africa? You mean I should rely on "apples and oranges" as basis of comparison? 2. What you don't get is, we don't need to be in the "construction sector" to make rational judgments. While you struggle to try to prove wrong the N24b cost, people with more insight would rather ask the simple question, "What is the scope of this project"? |

Her ideologies are for far advanced democracies with better civilised and exposed humans. Her target audience are not Nigerians anyway.
I don't expect her to go and preach feminism in Saudi Arabia . Her comment to Hillary is un-called for. If this is feminism, then her brand of feminism is even too radical for America |

Sarang: says who? what has marriage got to do with feminity? feminism is equality.. it means don't treat your sisters, mothers, wives or any woman at all like trash.. it means respect. This is what true feminism stands for, Justice not marriage and yes equal responsibilities.. you guys be thinking like backward people sef.. Shockingly it's mostly guys that hate feminism? Why? because you need a maid in your house and not a partner right? Trash! Chimanda is a well versed and educated writer..and who is Dencia? A social media influencer? .. Pot calling kettle black..or in this case pot calling snow black
don't quote me please just go and see my signature and support my cause I could not resist quoting you, especially in the underlined area 1. Your submission up there is a case of your "emotional adrenaline" rather than rational 2. I believe it is needless defining feminism (your definition here is even watery). What is in focus is Chimamanda's audacity to question Hilary of her personal preference and preserve to see herself as first a Wife before any other accomplishment (of which Chimamanda is not even fit to lace those shoes) 3. Men hates feminism....bla...bla...bla, we've heard that a zillion times, but let's even go by that assumption. Is it not ironic that the so called feminist propenents are the ones intruding into fellow women's privacy, trying to force "feminism" (their jaundiced notion of it) on people? This is absolutely not feminism. This is just down-right daft reasoning. You don't go into people's private lives and tell them how to live their lives, especially when it does not suit you. A twitter fake-feminist who started the #menarescum. For some years she had lots of followers in young ladies who had all the reasons in the world not to live with a man. Guess what, recently the lady came to announce her engagement on twitter. These same gullible follower are now cursing her. 4. Who is Dencia, you say? Dencia has shown above all that she has a mind of her own. She is not gullible to follow Chimamanda....just because "Chimamanda is well versed and educated writer", but she is intelligent enough to challenge Chimamanda's submissions especially where suchdoes not make sense. |

Even if drawings and specifications are provided, I'll still convince you that it was an inflated project. Its just my opinion, you can prove me wrong Few things 1. You gave your opinion.....absolutely no doubt....but that opinion "came up short". 2. Now you say you can back up by elemental cost of the building. Aside from the false start of not doing that ab-initio, did the report tell you that the scope of the project is limited to "elemental cost of the building"? 3. Bros, it is my opinion that you're far away from projects of this magnitude both in age, career-grade and exposure and it will be wise you keep your head down and learn. 1) Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), re-introduced the ban of rice import through its land borders in 2016, as an effort to boost local rice production in Nigeria.
2)The Federal Government mandated the CBN to release N40 billion for the “Anchor Borrowers Programme” (ABP) for Rice farmers. The program was designed to assist Small Scale farmers to increase the production and supply of feedstock to agro-processors.
3) The Anchor Borrowers Programme was launched in November 2016, said to have been pushed by 14 states of Kebbi, Sokoto, Niger, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Kano, Zamfara, Admawa, Plateau, Lagos, Ogun, Cross-Rivers and Ebonyi for rice and wheat farmers to advance their status from small holder farmers to commercial or large growers. givan: I wonder on what ground the judge has said this?! Is he in any doubt that the accused may be conniving with the accuser (federal authority) to present fake health bill? Grounds? I guess this is the (legal) grounds According to the judge, “I am wondering, if the defendant is really sick as he claims, why did he not appeal the two earlier decisions of the court that refused to release his international passport.
“I doubt that he is really ill as he wants the court to believe, if he is, he should have appealed the decisions of the court at the Court of Appeal.”
The judge wondered why Metuh appealed decisions of the trial court that had nothing to do with his health but refused to appeal those that dealt directly with his health.
Abang held that it seemed there was a hidden agenda by Metuh to present the court as inhuman by filing the same application before the trial court a third time rather than going on appeal. |

xcolanto: Wike is right! The FG through the military bodies as the army, navi and nsdc are burning illegal refineries and boats that carry crude oil. This causes air pollution in Rivers state as well as the oil spilage into the sea that affects the livelihood of those living in such communities.
The buhari led Federal government is indeed a culprit to reducing the lives of rivers people as they gave the military bodies such orders. There are videos on YouTube that show the military shooting at boats and burning illegal refineries.
Burning these refineries causes the black smoke to go into the air creating the sooth then shooting at boats from choppers cause the oil to spill into the water ways as well as black smoke in the air from the explosion and destruction.
The rivers state government must hereby through it's state assembly make destroying of illegal bunkery an offence and that off the boats as well.
The federal government should convert the illegal refineries to Modula refineries and the boats sized then the crude be handed over to nnpc. I am very concerned that a God made individual will condescend to low level and make daft ascertions......what God knows what reasons. Even there is Google to establish the real reason for the soot |
