The US is occupying Haiti because they can. And there's nothing you can do about it except post on nairaland and get replies.

Our analysis of the cause of the haiti earthquake has revealed a startling 3,590,000 for haiti conspiracy theories hits for the multitude of ways American caused the Haiti Earthquake. We hereby call on the UN to prosecute all Americans immediately. QED

silly American the cause of massive death toll in Haiti

An American citizen asked for sugar with his cofee about 1.5783 minutes before the massive earthquake in Haiti. The league of holy people have asked american to obey international law and arrest the silly individual so he can be tried for crimes against humanity at the hague. The league of holy people are known to be the nations with the bestest leaders on earth. The league include Venezuala, Iran, Tunisia, Gaza among others.

The Home department is taught to be torn about weather to turn over the silly American (which would mean no one can ask for fries ever again) or to protect him and face the wrath of the league of massive t0ssersholy people.

A reliable source has informed us that a new weapon being developed by the US was responsible for the Haiti earthquake. It is thought the weapon was being tested and an accidental discharge was the cause of the earthquake.

A reliable source has confirmed that the devastating earthquake that took place in Haiti was caused by friendly fire in the top secret US UFO program. Information has reached our desks that a disagreement between American and Aliens who are not suppossed to exist led to the aliens discharging a destructive weapon that was being shared with the world's only super power. The enourmous yield of the weapon underground is taught to have caused the shift in the earth's crust.

HAARP now blamed for Haiti Earthquake.

Reliable sources now seem to blame a secret US program that aims to control the athmosphere it self for causing the massively destructive Earthquake in the Carribean.

HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is a joint scientific research project of the US Air Force and Navy, whose principle facilities are located in Gakona, Alaska (I don't get cable, but I understand that Jesse Ventura visited the site on his TV show). According to its home page (click here), it is:

A scientific endeavor aimed at studying the properties and behavior of the ionosphere, with particular emphasis on being able to understand and use it to enhance communications and surveillance systems for both civilian and defense purposes.

The HAARP program is committed to developing a world class ionospheric research facility consisting of:

* The Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a high power transmitter facility operating in the High Frequency (HF) range. The IRI will be used to temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere for scientific study.

* A sophisticated suite of scientific (or diagnostic) instruments that will be used to observe the physical processes that occur in the excited region.

Observation of the processes resulting from the use of the IRI in a controlled manner will allow scientists to better understand processes that occur continuously under the natural stimulation of the sun.

Scientific instruments installed at the HAARP Observatory will be useful for a variety of continuing research efforts which do not involve the use of the IRI but are strictly passive. Among these studies include ionospheric characterization using satellite beacons, telescopic observation of the fine structure in the aurora, and documentation of long-term variations in the ozone layer.

This has been happening for years. See links below for a history of violence

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE56T4W020090730
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/country_profiles/1067695.stm

=============================================================
November 2002 - Nigeria decides to abandon the Miss World contest in Abuja. At least 215 people die in rioting in the northern city of Kaduna following a newspaper article suggesting the Prophet Mohammad would probably have married one of the Miss World beauty queens if he were alive today.

May 2004 - Hundreds of people, mostly Muslim Fulanis, are killed by Christian Tarok militia in the central Nigerian town of Yelwa. Survivors say they buried 630 corpses. Police say hundreds were killed.

February 2006 - A week of rioting by Muslim and Christian mobs claims at least 157 lives. The violence begins in the northeastern city of Maiduguri, when a Muslim protest against Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad runs out of control. Revenge attacks follow in the south.

February 2009 - The governor of Bauchi state imposes a night-time curfew on Bauchi city on February 22, a day after clashes kill at least 11 people. At least 28 people were seriously wounded and several houses, churches and mosques burned down.
===============================================================

I have highlighted some of the violence above. In each of these cases, what did the government do to make the instigators of the violence face justice? Nothing! Little wonder that people keep thinking they will get away with it. Until the government starts bringing the people behind the violence to book it will keep happening.

How come reports from Lagos do not do the same, I mean express clearly and concisely the connection between Lagos state and the PPP projects ?  Or Am I the only one that has noticed the sort of confusing language used in most of the reports for Lagos state?
Yeah you are the only one confused about Lagos. Simple English clearly has you baffled when it concerns Lagos so maybe you should just let Lagos be.

This thread is about Ondo. How about you just concentrate on that.
Foreign AffairsRe: Earthquake Test Goes Horribly Wrong! by Mariory(m): 5:48pm On Jan 20, 2010
Yes imagine. I mean they had the audacity to lie to us about when they invented these "earthquake weapons". I mean they must have invented these weapons before America even became a country seeing as Earth quakes have been happening throughout history.
Wow these Western nations are so evil. Can you believe they have kept such weapons a secreat for such a long time? My God!

Thank God for the Russians. If they didn't come out on youtube to tell us about this top secret weapon that has existed since the time wars were fought with spears and stones.

It wouldn't surprise me if the US and Western Europe created floods, Hurricanes, comets, Metorites, and maybe even earth itself. Ahhh yes, that's probably why we black men can never succeed on this world created by white men.

I guess we'll have to wait till the Russians tell us that. Or Maybe God will speak through the Chinese or Iranians and expose the evil whites.

Please where can I buy books and CDs and DVDs and posters and shirts that details how these weapons were made and how they have been hidden and how they intend to use them. I have money to waste purchase details of these madeup exposed secrets.

What I know about logical symbolism is nil and below nothing but shouldn't the contrapositive of that conditional statement be negative on both symbols or is that taken for granted in systematic logic?
Not in this case as I am not trying to prove anything. The logic statement is simply a representation of
"If South Africa creates a scenario, then that scenario applies to South Africa."

This Oyinbo people really have some audacity. This is outright negative press attack on this country.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8465195.stm
Well the South African movie "District 9" depicted Nigerians as cannibals (not even on humans but, on alieans that where depicted in the movie as below humans), vodoo worshippers, drug and weapons smugglers, and wh0res. They then used the name of our ex-president as the leader of this criminal underworld.

If South Africans were ok with that, then I deduce that the company has the right to sell whatever it wants.
Basically, according to First Order Logic, if ϴ → Ϭ then Ϭ → ϴ

Not so long ago some nairalanders were trying to suggest we copy the Venezuelan model. I and a few others tried to point out that this wouldn't be sustainable for a country the size of Nigeria. Well little did I know it wouldn't even be sustainable for Venezuela itself. Where is that Venezuelan government official that thought he could talk down to our foreign affairs minister?

agathamari:
when in social situations in other cultures especialy as a "leader" you are expected to use the traditions of the country you are in.  its proper manners and specified in presidential protocol.  when the leaders from countries like china, japan, korea, saudi arabia and such come to "western" countries they shake hands though it is not in thier culture to do so.  it is viewed as rude to refuse common social customs of your host country.
So can you explain to me since when it became the culture in London to bow to the head of the Saudi Royal Family as Obama is doing?

Also please explain this
http://www.traveletiquette.co.uk/etiquette-in-saudi-arabia.html

"When meeting and greeting in Saudi Arabia, it is usual for close male counterparts to shake hands and kiss on each cheek. However, if meeting under more formal circumstances, a handshake between members of the same sex is fine."

BusinessRe: Insult: MTN Locates West African Headquarters In Ghana by Mariory(m): 5:10am On Jan 13, 2010
Spike88:
why all the ranting against MTN. I worked in telecoms for the last 9yrs and was well paid and well exposed. Nigeria's economy had declined year on year whilst the telco's invest in the latest technology just to serve the so called 'enlightened' Nigerian populace in the midst of declining security for their operations. Remember we their staff are also part of their operations. I have worked in many different parts of the country so I have paid my dues.

Nigeria does not deserve the prestige of these companies. Why must they continue to suffer, are they charity organisations? Even I am taking a hiatus and moving to Ghana, abeg! enough is enough! This unrealistic love we have for this our so called country.

Only a blind person will judge companies like MTN negatively. If I went to Central Lagos or even the remote parts of this country and offered 10 random people a slightly more predictable life in another country, guess how many will decline. None I dare say!
Now I don't want you to take this personally but, I going to be a bit nasty because frankly you deserve it for posting that rubbish.

So if Nigeria is so insignificant that the country doesn't deserve the prestige of such a company, why is said company still maintaing operations in Nigeria? You worked in telecoms for the last nine years and yet have no clue of what you're talking about. Nigeria is currently has the highest subscriber base in Africa and it's still growing. I dare say, Nigeria has made a lot of money for MTN.

You know what I hope you stay in prestigeous Ghana and never head back. One less person to re-educate.
