Politics › Re: BREAKING: EFCC Arrests Ex-governor Akpabio by Marvin67: 7:37pm On Oct 16, 2015 |
I'm not for any party as I believe both APC and PDP comprises criminals. But let's be sincere, there's something selective about all this. Some weeks back, a group called CACOL submitted a petition to the EFCC concerning alleged fraud against Fashola. Has Fashola been invited by the EFCC? Some months back, Rivers PDP submitted a petition to this same EFCC about fraud allegedly committed by Amaechi. Has Amaechi been invited by the EFCC? Howcome it's only perceived enemies of the president who are being hunted by the EFCC. A fight against corruption should be faceless. |
Politics › Why Is Amaechi's Case Different by Marvin67(op): 8:28pm On Oct 14, 2015 |
It is not news that one of the reasons for delaying Amaechi's screening is for the senate to see if they can douse the tension Nigerians have about if Amaechi would be a minister or not. While nominees from states with 3 PDP senators like Fayemi, Ngige , Onu etc, have had no problems with senators from their states, Amaechi can't boast that he'd have a smooth sail, this is because Amaechi has fought a very dirty fight. A man shouldn't fight the way Amaechi fought. I'm sure the relationship between Dakuku and Wike is not as bad as the relationship between Wike and Amaechi. I'm also sure that the relationship between Buhari and Jonathan is not as bad as the relationship between Jonathan and Amaechi Why should a man create an enemy from every battle?, why should a man fight so dirty that he doesn't think of tomorrow? Even if Amaechi eventually scales through the screening , it wouldn't be without a fight from the Rivers senators. This is something Amaechi could have avoided if he had fought a smart fight during the campaigns |
Politics › Re: Election Of Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe Nullified In Abia State by Marvin67: 8:25pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
Why's everyone missing the point here? The tribunal didn't declare anyone winner. It only declared the election inconclusive, which means a fresh election would be held in the areas affected. Nd if you know that area well, you'd know that it's senator Abaribe's Strong hold. There's a 96% chance that he'd win again. So this isn't a loss yet for PDP |
Politics › Re: We Thought Buhari Would Pick Saints, Says Delta PDP Senator by Marvin67: 3:14pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
He's saying the truth. That list could have been released right in eagles square on may 29. There's nothing special about it. We all knew fashola, Amaechi nd Fayemi have all been PMB's favourite men.
The ministerial list is the same PDP style of 20% technocrats and 80% settlement of politicians for a job well done. Well, we're still waiting for the real change. |

Politics › Re: See Dead Bodies From Abuja Bombing (Photos) by Marvin67: 2:13pm On Oct 03, 2015 |
There is a conspiracy of silence in the media and this is annoying. The media and the army has been deceiving us by making us believe book haram is going down. The media would hype the news of dieziani's arrest but talk about the abuja bombing and even lie to us by drastically giving us false figures as the number of casualty. People around that region yesterday, all said the casualty level is quite high, but the media puts it at 7.
This is annoying. We have to know whats going on. If boko haram can get to abuja, they can get to Lagos, IMO, ondo, and any other part of Nigeria. All they need to do is board a bus.
May God save us and help Nigeria overcome this. The propaganda from the government isn't helping at all. God help us. |

Politics › The Many "Smart" Moves Of President Buhari by Marvin67(op): 4:42pm On Oct 01, 2015 |
If you look at the administration of President Buhari, you'd agree with me that he has a way of diverting attention from himself and giving those who love to talk all sorts of irrelevant things things to talk about, not only are these things irrelevant, Mr President has also shown that he's neither bothered nor moved by what people say. Call them the wailers or PDP members, the truth remains that the so called wailers are also Nigerians who have a right to complain about whatever they feel unpleased about, but as I said earlier, Mr President obviously doesn't listen to criticism. Let's take a chronological look at some of his actions; After the expiration of Jega's tenure, a new INEC chairman had to be appointed, President Buhari appoints Amina Zakari, as acting Chairman, this causes uproar as Amina Zakari, according to facts seems to have some kind of relationship to both Buhari and APC, but Mr President doesn't listen. As the uproar was still on, Mr. President appionts Daura to head DSS, again this sparks controversy, diverting the attention now from Amina Zakari to Daura. Facts emerge that Daura has some connections to the APC, but again, Mr President doesn't listen. While the ccontroversy as still burning president Buhari makes his chain of northern appointments, as expected this diverts attention from Daura, to the appiontments. The trend #northernpresident took over the nation. The critics talked, the "Wailer's" wailed , again Mr President doesn't listen. Right in the middle of the controversy, the president makes his assets declaration public. It was a strategic move again, as it diverted attention from the northern appointments thing to the the assets declaration, and this made some smart people ask what was so special about the assets declaration that stopped the president from doing it the Yar'adua style by fixing the value PR worth of each of his property. But as expected our dear president doesn't listen. To divert attention from that, the story of the list of ministers came up. Attention was diverted from all issues including the drop in power supply to the list of mr president's ministers. This made some of us wonder what was so special about the list that we had to wait months for. Eventually, we got an insight into the list and discovered that there are no new names there. The same people anyone can speculate are those who who made the list. What's so special in making the likes of Amaechi, Fashola, Ngige, Onu, Fayemi, etc ministers that we had to wait months for? Aren't these the same men he has always travelled with? From the look of things , Mr President already knew thosehe wanted to appiont as ministers from Day 1, he was simply waiting for the right time to make it public. Today people are talking about the ministerial list , forgetting that our economy is in bad shape. No one is talking about Amina Zakari, no one is talking about Daura and his invading of Akwa Ibom state government house, attention has successfully being diverted to the over hyped ministerial list. I urge us all not to get carried away, let's not be blinded by partisan politics. While we should all pray and hope for Buhari to succeed, we should also realise that he's not above mistakes, and should waste no time in calling his attention to areas we feel he's not doing well, but from the look of things Mr President doesn't listen. |

Paying a token to submit it shouldnt be too bad. Even if it's just to be on the safe side. I submitted mine today, they requested for two print outs, collecedt one and returned one to me after it was signed on and stamped. So whoever has the chance should submit |
Politics › Revealing: Evidence That DG Of DSS, Lawal Daura Is An APC Member by Marvin67(op): 7:08am On Jul 31, 2015 |
There have been shock waves around the country following the startling revelation that the Acting DG of the DSS, Lawal Daura, is a card-carrying member of the APC.
According to a revealing report which has sent shock waves around the country, the Acting Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, is a card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), He also served as a member of President Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation and Chaired the Committee on Intelligence.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, confirmed in a statement he issued to newsmen last night. “Of what relevance is whether the present DG of SSS was a member or not of Buhari’s Campaign Committee? Was he a serving officer then? How does being the Chairman of Buhari’s Intelligence Committee disqualify him from being the DG DSS?”
Source: The Nation Newspaper, January 15, 2015. It would be recalled that Daura was appointed on July 2, 2015 by President Buhari, first as substantive DG to replace Mr. Ita Ekpenyong, but later it was announced that he would act in that capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Director-General, in a statement which was issued by the Head of Service, Danladi Kefas.
Since his appointment, there have been several criticisms over his choice by the President, including the fact that his appointment was contrary to laid down procedures.
Yesterday, the PDP made further startling revelations, alleging that Daura was not only a card-carrying member of the ruling APC, but indeed headed the Intelligence Sub-Committee of the Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation.
The allegation was made by the Acting National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, at a press conference held at the party’s National Secretariat, Abuja. He also claimed that the DSS has been harassing members of the PDP, especially in Rivers and Akwa Ibom states since Daura assumed office.
Secondus said: “We want to bring to the attention of Nigerians and the international community that we have observed that the Federal Government and the APC, especially the Department of State Services over the past months have continued to harass members of our party especially in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states where the Independent national Electoral Commission, INEC staff have been detained, coaxed and harassed to write reports on electoral matters pending in tribunals. If they don’t stop, it will end in total breakdown of law and order.”
He called for DG’s sack to pave way for the emergence of a neutral person to take charge of the security agency.

I know the least the APC will be comfortable with is to throw away the deputy senate president seat. At the end of it all, I see the PDP senators facing serious embarrassment. . Don't be fooled by what those losers are saying. The law clearly states that the house can seat once a quorum has been formed, the house can seat. The quorum required for a senate sitting is one third of the house, which is about 40. The constitution further states that to elect the SP and DSP, a simple majority is needed. The constitution never said the simple majority must be a simple majority of 55. No, rather the simple majority is the simple majority of members present. In this case even if Ekwerenmadu had gotten 40 votes out of 72 members present then, he still would have won. So the aggrieved losers have no case. |

All these primaries mean nothing. The senate president and HOR speaker would still come from APC. The primaries have only shown us who Tinubu's candidates are, but I foresee a Tambuwal situation. The PDP would decide the APC lawmakers that would eventually win since PDP would vote in bloc for a particular candidate. |

pinkbee: Please don't waste ur energy explaining. We know how dis idiot called sylva destroyed bayelsa state. Only d fools dat don't know d truth will come here n spew rubbish. . Some people who have never left lagos would just sit in the south west and be typing something about a state they know nothing about. Silva is the worst governor in the history of Bayelsa. This same Sylva that spent his time as governor going to beaches, and drinking away in night clubs, can now call himself a progressive. Shame on anyone who supports Silva just because he's a APC member. May their governors govern their states the way Silva governed Bayelsa |

4 Bayelsa Legislators’ Seats Declared Vacant After Defection To APC Channels Television. Updated May 16, 2015 The Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Kombowei Benson, has declared the seats of four members, who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), vacant. The decision was taken by the speaker on Friday, after the four lawmakers declared their decision to join the APC. After the declaration by the speaker, the State’s Governor, Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, described the decision as a step in the right direction. In a statement, the Governor said the action of the State Legislature was not only constitutional, but will also instil party discipline and sanitise the polity. Governor Dickson condemned the practice of Carpet-Crossing at will by politicians, without recourse to the parties under which they were elected into positions. He stressed that it was no longer acceptable under a thriving democracy. According to him, the State Assembly’s decision would set the pace and show the direction of the new PDP in the State. “Party discipline and loyalty, must be the overriding principles and factors for all members,” he said. The Bayelsa State Governor also noted that indiscipline, disloyalty and greed had been the bane of the PDP at State and National levels in the past, warning that such acts would no longer be tolerated for whatever reason in the party. http://www.channelstv.com/2015/05/16/4-bayelsa-legislators-seats-declared-vacant-after-defection-to-apc/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

So from the look of things, there wouldn't be any test or interview, the shortlisted few would just be invited to come for documentation nd start work. |

But this is really funny, people applied for a job over a year ago, and up till now, no message, no success mail, no regret mail, no comment at all from the recruiters. We are all left in the dark. Meanwhile I know that every monday people resume duty at this same ministry. Na wa o. May God see us through. |
