Politics / Re: APC Chieftains, Stakeholders Set To Welcome Umahi by Marvin67: 6:21am On Nov 16, 2020
danyslim:
The big question nobody here is asking is why did pdp refuse to cede the 2023 ticket to the south east ?
Why?
The only region that stood with the party through thick and thin is the south east and yet they aren't considered for presidency .
We all claim apc is after islamization of the country , they want the north to rule forever .
But the writings on the wall clearly shows pdp prefers to present another northerner for 2023 presidency .
Simply because they don't care about the south east .
So please don't blame any southern pdp governor who leaves now cos it's an insult to even not consider rotating power back to the south after buhari's 8 year rule.
The north should wait for the south to have their fair share of the 8 years rotation and this time its the turn of the south east.
If pdp won't give them let them go get it from apc

The most important thing for an political party is winning elections and fielding candidates from a region where massive votes can come from.

No opposition party can win a presidential election without fielding a northern candidate in Nigeria. As at the time APC fielded Buhari in 2015 it was still the turn of the south to complete it's second term but APC needed to win that election hence fielded Buhari.

Remember the only northern president PDP has produced was late Yar'adua who couldn't complete his tenure .

Please with their guiding support and the CBN certified training and other processes, are all of this free or the participants are expected to pay?
Please educate me on this I mean people who have proper knowledge about the scheme.
Thanks

You open an account with NMFB and fund it , that's your money , you can withdraw it at anytime like your normal money in the bank.

You pay the training centres. Aside from them submitting your Application to CBN, they also train your and give more more knowledge on running a business effectively. This doesn't come free

The entire process is worth it I tell you . I've seen young NYSC fresh graduates get to to N5m. I have seen entrepreneurs without any connection whatsoever get anywhere get N7m. I have seen a young lady in her mid 20's get N3m. I have seen entrepreneurs get up to N10m , but rather than take the step some people just expect to sit back and expect manner to drop from Heaven

Cmeo:
The ownership structure of this National Microfinance Bank is wrong.

They could have allowed 10-20% of the shareholding to be with the public. With the current structure of 50% for bankers committee, 40% for CBN and 10% for Nipost.

What this still mean is that SME are still at the mercy of these commercial bankers, whose interest is theirs only and give loans to those close to them only, never to be paid again with CBN bailing them out with our collective fund/tax and never to paid back again.

National Microfinance Bank is still the same wolf in the sheep clothing.

You're wrong sir. It's is owned by bankers committee, nirsal and nipost .

The bank was set up to provide a remedy to the wrong commercial banks have done to SME's in the past . The essence of creating is to grow business of SME's.

Your last paragraph is also very wrong . The way the loans are structured, you can't take money and not invest it. The money goes to your business and vendors not directly to you.

I'd be willing to give you more information if you're interested

Yesterday evening at the Commission's headquarters in Yaba, the parties' representatives were briefed on the latest development. In all, election will be rescheduled in 24 units; 18 in Mosafejo, three in Awodiora, two in Ojo Road and one in Olodi. The Commission said the rerun poll will hold within 29 days as stipulated by the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and a date within that time frame will be communicated to all parties involved.

Also according to the Commission, the PDP candidate, Rita Orji leads 31,982 votes judging by the already collated results of seven wards followed closely by the APC flag bearer, HKT with 28,758 votes.

Don't let this deceive you, no any living soul will defeat buhari in north.

It is not about defeating him in the North, besides when you say North, please take the North central out. He wont win in the North. His strongest base is the North west, and with Kwankwanso and his Kwankwansiya movement PDP is gaining ground in Buhari's most comfortable zone. The PDP candidate won't do as poorly in those two zones as GEJ did the last time.

The rally is holding simultaneously with the APC rally in Daura.

The rally is also a test of kwankwanso's popularity. Which is evident considering the number of red caps on ground. The kwankwansiya movement is heavy in Katsina

Politics / Re: Moses Ekpo Resigns As Akwa Ibom Deputy Governor, To Join Akpabio In APC by Marvin67: 10:18am On Aug 06, 2018
Butterflyle0:

Apkabia is far more relevant to APC than saraki is to PDP.

Saraki brought 300k votes to APC while Apkabip brought 900k votes to PDP in 2015.

Plus Akpabio is the second financial warchest of PDP and now that he has left, PDPs financial warchest has been slashed in two.

Also, he is coming over to APC with about 15 senators, 15, LGA chairmen and others.

udoms own deputy has just joined him. You should realise how far his hands reach if the governors own deputy is his man.

No two situations are exactly the same bro. it is wrong to compare Akpabio with Saraki. A right comparison would be Akpabio and Kwankwanso.

Akpabio didn't give PDP 900,000 votes in 2019. GEJ is a son of the soil and even with an APC governor, like we saw in Edo and Rivers, Jonathan was bound to win. In Rivers despite the presence of Amaechi as Sitting governor, Jonathan still got 1.4m votes against Buhari 60,000.
Remember PDP had Shekarau on GEJ's side in Kano but Shekarau couldn't swing votes for Jonathan.

In 2019 the tide would change. With both parties fielding northern Muslims , Akpabio can only swing his senatorial district to APC,, and don't expect the see 300,000 voters from his district because of apathy remember a son of the soil is not on the ballot this time.

The APC is badly hit by these defections because the PDP has made major in road into the north and would be fielding an Hausa Muslim. Kano votes would be divided , same for Sokoto. Buhari can't get that 1.9m votes he got from Kano last time. All PDP needs to checkmate Akpabio is to have someone with the Character of Wike as thier campaign manager. Akpabio is a grassroots politician, but he's not a fighter like the Wike's

Politics / Verdict On Recent Defections by Marvin67: 8:52am On Aug 05, 2018
Politics all over the world is based on interest and quest for political power. In Nigeria where Political Parties run without an ideology and basically as a platform to promote a politician's interest , defections are bound to occur when one politician feels his interest isn't being covered by a political party.

With the recent wave of defections in the political space, it has become necessary to examine which defection would affects the influence the chances of one party the more.

Ortom. APC to PDP. Ortom who was formally a minister under PDP joined the APC close to the 2015 election, but recently defected back to the PDP. In 2015 Buhari won in Benue, with the issue of herdsmen and bandits , with or without Ortom, Buhari is bound to lose a in Benue come 2019. Ortom's defection to PDP favours Ortom more than it favours PDP.
verdict: Paper weight defection. It may not have any significant effect.

Tambuwal. The former speaker of the House of Representatives returned to the PDP fo pursue his presidential dream. Buhari won Sokoto in 2015 getting over 600,000 votes against PDP's 152,000. With Tambuwal on the other side and likely to be the Presidential candidate of the PDP, the people of the caliphate wouldn't vote Buhari ahead of their son. However if the candidate is someone else and not Tambuwal, Buhari may emerge victorious here but with a small margin . verdict : It's a battle. one can't really say how Sokoto would go.

Saraki. The Senate president is perhaps is the biggest catch of the PDP. In 2015 Buhari got Kwara with over 300,000 votes against PDP's over 100,000. In 2019 it's going to be Saraki against APC. Going with history and events in the country , Kwara appears like a lost ground for Buhari.
verdict : A big catch. Saraki has proven to be politically smarter than all his political adversaries. With him as political advicer to the PDP campaign team, Saraki is bound to pull a lot from his sleeves to shock those in camp Buhari.

Akpabio. Perhaps the most shocking of them all considering his position in PDP and how he was made minority leader in the Senate despite being a first time senator. Akpabio is a politician you want to have by your side because of his big pocket. In 2015 PDP got over 900,000 votes in Akwa Ibom against Buhari's 50,000. But the situation is different and even Akpabio's defection cannot reverse that figure. In 2015 it was Jonathan from the south south against Buhari from the north. In 2019 it would be two Muslim northerners go head to head. Unlike 2015 were all political forces in the state were in PDP. Now the forces are divided with the Governor in PDP and Akpabio in APC. Expect Akpabio to pull some members of the House of representatives and House of assembly to APC.

verdict. Heavy weight. He wouldn't give Buhari 900,000 votes like Jonathan got in 2015, but he'd at least deliver his senatorial district to Buhari. If the Senate gets their way and reorders the sequence of elections, expect Buhari to lose heavily in the state again. However it goes, PDP would still have majority of votes in the state. Don't also expect voter turn out in the state to be as high as 2015 considering no son of the south south would be on the ballot.

Note. these are all permutations. One should also remember that Sule Lamido couldn't deliver Jigawa to Jonathan the same Babangida Aliyu couldn't deliver Niger State and Rochas couldn't deliver Imo state to Buhari . Not all defectors would deliver thier states. Infact some would go down because they defected. Our people vote with a lot of emotion these days, and while some regions in the country do not like APC, some regions just don't like PDP. some poligicians would go down because of their party.

Politics / Re: Analysis: Buhari will likely Win 2019 Election but with less margin. by Marvin67: 8:40am On Apr 07, 2018
Nice analysis OP. Let me just chip in that things haven't changed in the south south. You can only rig where the emotion of the people allow you rig. It is wrong to compare a senatorial election or even governorship election to a presidential election. APC won two senatorial slots in Rivers but the question is how? One was won by Magnus Abe , a very popular figure who went against an unpopular PDP candidate. The other was won in the court , you know what could have happened in the court, maybe if the case had gotten to the supreme court the judgement could have been reversed. Even Magnus Abe may not be in APC by 2019 , you know his issues with Amaechi. It would be very hard for APC to get up to 10% in the south south. Jonathan had ministers from all the northern states and even had the likes of sule lamido but the rigging didnt work .

A lot of things qould happen between now and 2019 . PDP has gone through the fire of a convention. Apc wants to go through one now . The convention would further tear apc apart .

The Candidate of the PDP also matters . An Atiku would pull more votesfrom the northeast. Dankwanbo would pull more votes from the south. Kwankwanso would do some damage to buhari presidency in the north west . If those 3 come together in PDP with the likes of sule lamido and an emir sanusi who seems to want a change then the PDP chance in the north is actually bigger than expected

The main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) now has 21 new national officers that will pilot its affairs in the next four years.
They emerged at the just-concluded National Elective Convention of the party in Abuja.
The development implies that barring any unforeseen circumstances, the new officers of the National Working Committee (NWC) will lead the party to the 2019 general election, which is exactly 432 days away.
According to the PDP Constitution, NWC is in charge of the day-to-day running of the party.
The national officers are the same as those contained in the controversial ‘Unity List’ in circulation at the convention venue, Eagles Square Abuja, said to have been approved by the PDP governors and distributed to delegates.

Romance / I Stiched My Anus Thrice, Wore Pampers For Years – Repented Nigerian Gay by Marvin67: 9:20pm On Dec 03, 2017
An ex-homosexual, Emmanuel Stephens, has narrated his ugly ordeal when he was gay.

The graduate of Theatre Arts, University of Calabar, Crosss Rivers State, shared his tale with New Telegraph in a bid to discourage intending gays.

According to him, the act has made him stitch his anus thrice and it was the worse experience ever.

He said, “I had my anus sutured three times while I was practicing homosexualism. That was the price I had to pay for such ignorance. The first suture was in South Africa. There, it wasn’t a problem because people don’t give a damn but coming back to Nigeria was a clash of culture and my religion.

“I went to South Africa in search of greener pastures, but fell in the hands of late Johnson, a gay, whom I served for four and quarter years.

“I was forced into the ‘fraternity’ (homosexualism) and when I got back to Nigeria and met a particular doctor for the second round of anus suture; I knew my time was up, following the doctor’s counseling.

“So, when I came back to Abuja, I continued the practice until I met a Christian doctor, who was supposed to suture my torn anus. The doctor had done it once and the second time, he had to counsel me on the dangers of homosexuality and advised me to quit, which I paid no heed to. I treated him with some level of contempt but on that very day, I had an issue with my system, and he gave me an option of repentance or death.

“When I was given such options, I chose life than to die and gave up the practice but it wasn’t easy at first because the doctor made me go through a psychologist and psychiatrist as a way of reforming me. After that, I had a new lease of life.

“I had been wearing adult pampers to prevent the feaces that regularly oozes from the anus because the anus had widened and cannot control defecation.

“Really, Satan has a way of subjecting the ignorant people into perpetual bondage. I thought I was a ‘big boy,’ spending money at will but I was dying gradually. I don’t know how I got into such. Women didn’t appeal to me then. I played the female character,” Emmanuel who has turned a new leaf stated.

“I have been admiring the wealth of this man and he drives clean cars. We all sell motor parts but I didn’t know he has something else. One day, the man called me and said, ‘Victor, you want to be like me?’ I said ‘yes’. And he asked me to follow him. We entered a public toilet, he removed his pant and showed me blood stained pampers and said, ‘This is what we do for money. I blend homosexualism with drugs.’

“If you are interested, come, I will make you. When I saw and heard what he said, I opened my mouth agape and he laughed and said, ‘You don’t want to be like me. I’m not a cultist.

“I have showed you what I do. I was surprised because we all pursue the same trade. This is a very clean man that drives the latest model of G-Wagon.”

I got this phone some months back from a trusted dealer of UK used phones. Everything works and the phone looks and works effectively like a brand new phone.
However, I noticed that certain apps I download don't work on the phone. Like yahoomail and Facebook messenger. I can't even access yahoomail from the browser. The response I keep getting is "network connection down " I've tried all sorts including using wifi but I still get that same response. It appears like something in the phone has been programmed not to give me access to both yahoomail and Facebook messenger.

Please what is the cause and solution?

Why am I going to see him.

Where does he stay.

For how long has he been in Germany.

Is he married.

How many kids does he have.

What is my profession

How old am I

When do I intend to return.
