This is the part I don't get,
Man starts forum,
man states rules,
people get upset and state that man has no business stating rules on his own forum

Could anyone please explain to me why Seun doesn't have the right to enforce HIS
stated rules on HIS forum.

I understand that one mans meat is another mans poison, however, still waiting for a reasonable explanation why he shouldn't enforce his stated rules especially as he has created a specific forum for people who want to lose their money to use.
BusinessRe: Offer From United Kingdom by mastro: 9:43am On Jun 26, 2007
This is for all the people who have no knowledge of how the UK Business environment works, and might just be tempted by this scam

Legal disclaimer, while all below is true, the advise is my opinion
ANY legitimate company has to register the company Name, Address, directors and company secretary’s details with Companies house, this applies to ANY and ALL companies be they limited liability or partnerships. Anyone can search the database at http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/

Now because it only costs £80 to register a company proper fraudsters will spend the money and have a registered company, so when checking look at the registration date of the company, if they are filing their accounts and the registered address.
Even better, for a nominal fee (£2-£3) Companies house will provide you with the names and addresses of the company’s directors, and details of their last filed returns.
How to use this information, well firstly if any one approaches you claiming to be a UK company ask for the registered name and company number, communicate only via the registered address, if you are transacting business with them, spend the pennies, run the checks, so if they claim to be a Petroleum broker and have filed returns where they’ve turned over £5000 a year or claim to be an investment house and only set up the company 2 weeks ago, then you have all the information you need to shout 419.

Investment advisors or houses in the UK similarly have detailed rules and regulations covering their existence, but I can tell you straight up any Investment house posting to blogs and web sites about opportunities is a SCAMMER
An finally, people don’t be so gullible, there is no one out there who is giving you money for nothing, yes country is hard however giving away the little you have to these BA***RDS is not going to help you, it is only going to cause you more heartbreak.

Companies in every country in the world have similar rules so if anyone claims to be working on behalf of any company, do your research, asking questions on the forum that will mostly be replied by the fraudsters using another name should be a first step.

I find it quite amazing that the 419ers actually have the guts to try and defend their shady businesses, Egold my foot, Forex my behind, they are all simply variations of pyramid schemes or outright fraud.

Then to insinuate that there is no difference between their pyramid schemes and proper business is quite frankly IMO bannable in it's own right, but then I'm not a tolerate person. However the owner has spoken so either comply or go peddle your crap on Warez forums

The man has put together a forum where like minded people can come together to share legitimate ideas and hang out, but no they have to come and pour sand into his Gari and try their best to turn it to a house of disrepute.

Whats with all the 419 boys that have started posting here?
For example
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-54332.0.html
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-54293.0.html
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-54068.0.html

Mr moderator, IMO it would be a good thing to kick them off before they damage the community you have built up here.
Now some will claim that these offers are not fraudulent, to those people I have a bridge for sale.
InvestmentRe: First Bank's 100 Billion Naira Share Offer by mastro: 1:33pm On May 10, 2007
Couple of things I don't like about this as it pertains to existing shareholders:

The 17.5% discount to the offer price of our current shareholdings.
The miserly N2 discount combined with it being 1 to 7 which effectively means there is no real benefit to being a previous shareholder in taking up this offer, for every N100,000 current shareholding you save N714 on the offer price, which by the time you factor in the dilution of our total shareholdings means the offer has no real benefit to us. Apart from the increase in size of the bank which might as well be achieved through takeovers and organic growth.

It's like looking up the thread and people complaining about customer service, this pricing of the offer shows the same attitude to us the owners.

All said and done though, for new investors it is in my opinion an attractive offer.
AutosRe: Cost Of Car Shipment To Nigeria? by mastro: 4:00pm On Sep 08, 2006
depending on what you are sending, using a container might work out cheaper (gidi factor) a 3 car container will cost about $5k all in.
Why cheaper, well any car left in the port, or coming in is liable to have parts removed, with 2-3 yr old or newer cars this can be very very expensive, cause they tend to steal computer parts (ECU).

So my advise is if it is a expensive car then use a container, which also ensures no physical damage as well.
