I walk or drive on the streets in Naija, almost every corner has one car shop with at least more than ten cars in each. A lot of people buy cars from these places, which of them cares about VIN or VIN report? Me for one will never buy a car from NairaLand, but rather go out there in the field but, myself like others care less about VIN, VRM, VSL, NYSC, GRE, or whatever it is you guys pride in, because at the end of the day, the car still gets sold. Many Nigerians are still getting scammed everyday in every area you can think of, does that mean that we should leave our brothers and sisters in Nairaland to be scammed as well? Or are you not your brothers keeper? Which one are you in the tale of the good samaritan, the priest or the Levite? |
I was asked a lot of questions regarding the car, it would appear the car previously had a different registration mark, perhaps a personalised licence plate, as the current VRM does not show up on DVLA's records, either as a car in use in the UK, or as an export. This is the reason I originally asked Teddy if the current VRM is the one the car was supplied with. What we do know is that the moto get story, which unfortunatly is the the case with many of the cars advertised here. "due diligence" is not only the physical car but also the paperwork. Personally I wouldn't give it a 2nd look, RHD, no service history, unknown VRM, and I actually like TT's, I know it's just a golf in drag but like them. |
Price ?Price you ask, I sugest you research the "dealer" and his "delivered" cars first. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-440327.256.html |
Any new data on this car, Teddy? I just need the VIN, or is there more to this car than it appears? It's his brother that interpol need to talk to, not him, at least that's what he will be telling the Nigerian Police before they start interrogation. |
why should i need a "bullet proof" car for occasions if i don't drive one on a normal day? When you've got a wedding in Aba, just don't get out of the car ![]() |
RHD, No Hand signals, Why ? And I'm not even going to go into the whole export a car worth £15k+ pay shipping and duty sell for less than £15k |
personally, I would ask for his lawyer to meet my lawyer, let them draw up an agreement, then they hold the cash till the car is delivered. the problem is of course that most dealers don't have the capital to to buy the cars. In which case you are simply forced to trust them, so unless the dealer is recommended personally by someone you trust I wouldn't hand over cash in advance, what I would do is go down with the dealer, then hand over cash to the seller, bear in mind that even then you don't know if the deal is genuine and you wont get pushed out of the moving car but then thats life, you pay your money and take your chances. |
Need a price for A/C compressor, and A/C Expansion Valve for a Mercedes C Class c200 yr2000 (W202) Headlights and side lights for the above car as well Thanks Mastro |
A friend of mine just told me on phone that people are scampering for safety at nnpc hqrts in abuja. And that three police anti bomb squad unit vehicles have arrived the scene, my naija brothers problem dey ooo. This bombing idea is barbaric, devilish and condemnable in its entirety.Your friend is a liar, i'm sitting at my desk in NNPC towers typing this. |
Hi Guys, Thoughts on the ML 2006 onwards model, brother wants to get one in abuja, so specific questions are: How robust are they Who can be trusted to look after one in Abuja without breaking the bank, bearing in mind that I can buy parts in the UK and send down to him. Mastro |

At this public forum, advertisers should submit their pictures, verifiable address of business premises, so as to make fraudsters traceable,be caught and punished. Its a public free forum so by it's very nature this can't happen, if Seun decided to impliment this and recover his costs by charging N200 per ad, 99% of the traders would disappear. It's unfortunate that for every "INSPIRED" there are "PTCONSULTS" for those of us who have been here a while the AGRIAUTOS standout like a sore thumb, but for those new and the less internet savy it will always be a problem, especially where you have the 419ers who actually know what they are doing and take their time to establish a decent posting record. |
Quote from: mastro on September 14, 2010, 09:11 AMVery funny, no for the record that is simply not true, just a concerned member, since you refuse to provide any actual evidence that you've imported this car I still maintain that you are a 419er, after all how long does it take to post a picture. |
MR FREDOYEKS AGARIAUTOS PTCONSULTS!!!, or what ever name you are using today, are you still here?? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-440327.224.html |
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Anyone you gives this guy (whatever name he is calling himself by) a kobo upfront after reading this thread should write down 1000 times "A fool and his money are soon parted" |
Inspired, you mean your "bionic cheetah" didn't escape from the port!! I think you need to explain how you tamed it. |
Is there any point for this club in Nigeria? Most of our roads are "OFF ROADS" already. . .lol .Sometimes, it's best to drive through the bush and hard terrain than the hazardous death traps called roads or "off roads" rather.LOL ![]() |
WE STRONGLY ADVICE YOU DO NOT LEVEL ANY ALLEGATIONS AGAINST US BUT IF YOU OR ANYONE FEELS ONE EXIST KINDLY CHANNEL THROUGH THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES OR LAW COURTS, PLEASE BE GUIDED ACCORDINGLY, THANK YOU.Haba you still have mouth to talk, lets even say that the moon is made of cheese and you actually brought and shipped this wild animal, shouldn't you be ashamed that it takes you 3 months to ship and try and clear a car. By the way for clarity I think you are a 419er and not a very good one. |
FREDOYEKS>PTCONSULTS>AGBARI OLE/MADAFA> what'sits new plan?suspect I've already seen a couple of his new identities offering pre sales, though really if the mods would just impliment IP checking much of this would be obvious. Bottom line is "DUE DILIGENCE" brothers and sisters due diligence. |
I quote myself IMHOand 3 months later Mafada is still unconcerned that his paid for car hasn't turned up. I trust the moderators are watching this thread, |
So let me get this straight, you want to sell a car for N3m but you cant be bothered to even go and look at it because Ikorodu is so far away. So exactly what is the function you are serving in this transaction? Hmmm, would I be out order to say "buyer beware" |
My suggestions Always go and view the car and drive it (you would be surprised the number of people who buy unseen, if dealer won't let you test drive at least sit in the car when it is being driven) Get a mechanic to look at the car for you or at least a person who knows about cars. Take a person with you, two heads are better than one, preferably someone who doesn't have a vested interest in the car so can be objective when pricing and noting condition of the car. Check the VIN unless it was brought new in Nigeria, even when it has been in the country for years, a VIN check may surprise you, or do you really think all the 3 year old cars with 5000 miles are genuine mileage. On Pre-order Firstly and foremostly as a buyer go and see the seller and or his representatives in Nigeria verify they are who they say they are. Get a lawyer involved to act as a escrow service. A proper dealer will be able to finance the purchase and only asks for a deposit to ensure that he isn't stuck with the car. Mastro |
I;m looking for an accord, howevr I'm not interested in accidented cars, coluld you please supply the VIN number. Regards |
@obojo; yikes! LOL, u'r not another "car nutter" like sienna, are you?, LOL Anyway, that's interesting, what other rides look like the X6 besides the Range Evoque? BTW I also "like" BMW's,https://www.dieselstation.com/pics/2010-Acura-ZDX-car-walls.jpg also know as the honda accord crosstour |
Fg Spending 10 Billion Naira For Independence Day http://video.yahoo.com/watch/7803539/20654592?v=7803539 Because there is nothing further to say |
SSaemoenlIf I was to say this must be how SSaemoenl mother carried him before dropping him on his head, then this post might get deleted for being uncivil, but it would explain his retarded post. |
dude, why are you spamming this thread trying to sell your car? |
i think seun has long found a solution to this problem by creating a seperate website for adverts: www.nairalist.com but i'm sure that site is largely underutilised as most people still prefer to post car sales on the autos section. call it force of habit, maybe?thats because our people are stubborn, I understand that there is a risk of reducing traffic if format is changed, however if he doesn't want to change the name just create a sub-forum called "Intelligent Discussions". Nairalist.com is probably aimed at a different market, which will lead to paid ads in the long run. |
Cool, adding my voice to the calls for regular updates. Hmm upgrade from a 4.2 V8, would the V10 from the RS6 by any chance fit under the bonnet? ![]() |
well is there anyone who thinks a split would not be a good thing ? |
It was suggested a while ago that the sales be separated, I for one think this is teh way to go. Could someone who has the ear of the Moderator and or Owner please reach out to them, it's got to the stage where it is pretty pointless to start a discussion since it will generally disappear. As a good example I found this topic on page 3, Mods the ball is on your court O, |
