Inspired you promised to explain further, those links do not explain how a car leased in America can be exported and sold in Nigeria without the lease being paid off

Quick question, how could you have this truck for sale when it was registered as a leased vehicle ~12 miles to 2 months ago?

I hope the Answers in these Links gives Answers to your Question,

If Not, Ill be here to further Explain.  Cool Cool

where I live if you lease a car it isn't your property until the lease is settled with the finance company, so when I'm buying such a car I pay the finance compant directly any outstanding amount on the lease, otherwise they retain legal ownership.

Is this carfax report out of date, or do you after selling the car go back and settle the finance company?
AutosRe: Chassis Number Or VIN Is Recommended On Every Listing by mastro: 11:55am On Oct 30, 2008
Slightly confused,

The owner of the site has after much discussion among the membership asked that cars be advertised with their VIN or Chassis number.

Every car that leaves a factory anywhere in the world has this number.

Anyone selling a car who can't locate it (or ask their mechanic) should IMO not be selling cars.

The only plausible explanation for not providing this number is either there is something wrong with said automobile, or the person doesn't have physical access to it. There is nothing, I repeat nothing that a 3rd party can do with this number other than look up the cars history.

Don't understand why this takes 6 pages of comments to determine.
InvestmentRe: Wema Shares Dilemma by mastro: 1:34pm On Oct 28, 2008
the bitter truth is that they are probably worth in the region of N3 each (if that) to an investor looking at bottom feeding outside the mkt.

I suspect that before they are un suspended they will be rebased.
AutosRe: Digital Odometers:can They Be Rolled Back? by mastro: 10:23pm On Oct 14, 2008
easy as breathing, for example http://www.dashfixer.com/

If it's a tokunbo car and fairly new it will probably have been serviced at main dealers who will sometimes confirm the mileage, if it has a stamped service book then simply call the dealer.
AutosRe: Secret Revealed! Run Your Car On Water by mastro: 9:52am On Oct 02, 2008
Water that’s nothing,

I know the secret for running a car on air, yes AIR only, you will never need to fill your tank again, send N5,000 only via western union and I will share this with you. Easy conversion, even baba Kasali will be able to install.

I also have a bridge for sale to highest bidder, one owner, fairly used.

AutosRe: Leaving A Car In A Sealed Container For 6 Months by mastro: 4:39pm On Jan 28, 2008
As the man said, damp, because of the high humidity a steel container is probably the worst environment possible, you need to take it out.

I guess you want to leave it there for security, do you not have anyone you trust who can put it behind their house covered with a proper car cover, ideally run the car 2-3 times a month for an hr or so, or disconnect the battery, (Trickle chargers are prob not ideal in Gidi due to NEPA) pump up tyres to 35 psi or so.

Car TalkRe: The Best Jeep For Nigerian Roads? by mastro: 9:48am On Nov 18, 2007
easy, most reliable jeep is the Toyota landcruiser, however, it's not cheap.
if constrained by budget, I would say any Toyota any Nissan product for ease of maintenance though I hear good things about Mitisubitsi's as well, bottom line go Japanese and that applies to all car (disclaimer I drive German cars, but I stand by my statement)
WebmastersRe: Lazy People Sell Links, Foolish People Buy Them. by mastro: 2:10pm On Nov 15, 2007
Consider this another vote for the truth in " Lazy People Sell Links, Foolish People Buy Them." it never ceases to amaze me how truly gullible some people are , Click here make millions!!!!!, my brother-in-laws, 2nd cousins’ half-sister made billions doing it.

I repeat any fool who thinks that by paying some person $10 they will magically make $1000's deserves to be parted with their money, I only wish they wouldn’t clutter up this board.

oh and the correct name is not multilevel marketing it is "pyramid scheme" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme The distinguishing feature of these schemes is the fact that the product or service being sold has little to no intrinsic value of its own or is sold at a price out of line with its fair market value.

Though I don't know why I am bothering, there is one sucker born everyday

Car TalkRe: Does It Make Sense Sending A Flashy And Expensive Car Home 4 Few Weeks Visit by mastro: 2:20pm On Oct 19, 2007
the short answer is, no it makes no sense.
The long answer is that he would be that if he likes throwing money away he should go for it, it's a RHD Jag, it will be worth about N200k in the Nigerian market.
The S class Jag is a pile of rubbish IMO I hasten to add, it has absolutely no redeeming features.

If he must (can afford to) then he should buy a decent LHD Benz, BMW or Lexus.

Finally is the reason he wants to bring it home that he paid £40,000 for it new and now it's worth £2k not N3m (£12k) grin

InvestmentRe: Looking For A Buyer For Your Shares? by mastro: 9:36pm On Jul 04, 2007
Can I echo the comments about using your brokers to transact these deals and not handing over cash for certificates in Mr Bigs (not that anyone here would be that naive, I HOPE). As a further precaution if looking for a broker please do your due diligence before hooking up with any one soliciting on this thread, I'm sure they can provide references etc when asked.

Having said that, this is a really, really good idea. IMO it is probably worthy of a sub-board all of it's own, any one who has gone through the pain of getting their brokers to carry out instructions in a timely fashion will know exactly why it would be useful.
