The honest truth is that, corruption will kill Nigeria one day because I don't see any serious attempt at stemming the tide. Cans of worms are opening up in all MDAs daily with mind boggling sleaze perpetrated by serving and erstwhile managers. |
Why won't the tertiary education system be bastardized, when a lot of emphasis is placed on "degrees" for one to get employment in most outfits. A good 2nd tier level education is enough education for anyone to perform proficiently in most jobs in Nigeria. Our quest for bragging rights has caused "kangaroo" degree awarding shacks to spring up at all corners. So why won't we be deludged by graduates who can barely string 2 sentences together without commiting a grammatical blunder. |

Palliatives are being distributed directly from FG, Palliatives were distributed by Governors last time Now, Palliatives are about being given to the national assembly members for onward distribution to their constituents. When is government going to "empower" us to catch our own "fish" instead of always giving us "fish" through dubious channels? All the monies being expended in these tokenism that has hardly scratched the surface of poverty and deprivation in the country could have been better deployed for effective poverty alleviation. Is this how we will continue to wallow aimlessly in our quest to pull Nigerians out of poverty? Is this how China was able to pull hundreds of millions of her citizens out of extreme poverty? What is it with RICE that the only past time of government these days is SHARING RICE, as if it is gold. Is this the best that our economic advisers can come up with at this stage of our nation's history? |
Thank goodness all ended well even though your tactics leaves much to be desired . At least you now have your peace back. Kudos |
The truth is out. This is the same scenario that plays out every where these fulanis carry out their atrocious deeds. Seems they have relocated from southern Kaduna to the plateau since the CDS would come for them in furry. But for the proliferation of arms in the south East, these bandits would have been having a field day in the east by now. At least IPOB/ESN has some advantages. |
Kai!!! Buhari was truly Lifeless. Crazy things really happened under the "Lifeless one" |
If any one needs prayers. then it's Trump. Nobody is beyond prayers. |
Policy flip flop. Are they really thinking some of these their schemes through before throwing them down to us? What becomes the fate of eNaira? Seeing that the adoption of eNaira was abysmal, what's the guarantee that Nigerians will embrace this new contraption of a digital currency ? |
peterboro:For your information, I live in the north and in a state that is also suffering from incessant killings from ? Bandits. Your problem is that you are delusional, perniciously opinionated and have a convoluted and warped reasoning incapable of logical judgement. I can bet you don't understand life outside your safe zone. https://www.nairaland.com/7959730/why-bokkos-women-set-ablaze Continue fooling yourself from the comfort and safety of wherever you call home. Those who are informed know what is happening beyond what the media is allowed to broadcast. |
Only a unified opposition can attempt to wrestle power from APC . However,With Asiwaju's sagacity in politics, I don't see a standing credible opposition by 2027. |
Odin13:I'm not too certain of that. Infact, Bandits held sway even when their son- Buhari was the president and a billion dollar was committed to the course of fighting insecurity. With all these small and light weapons in the hands of none state actors, it's time government liberalized the gun law of the country to permit private citizens of proven competence to own AKs. We can't just be sitting ducks waiting to be used for target practice by some scalawags |
Good move. Infact, you can't trust the source of most fruit wines these days. Wonder why the adultrators spend so much to counterfeit known products with dangerous chemicals that may end up killing their kit and kin. The love of money is truly the root of all evils |
She should have done her checks before exporting such. I think she contravened their law that's why it was seized. She should even be thanking God that they are not prosecuting her for dealing in unwholesome food. |
One guy has given government a 2 months ultimatum to remedy his situation or "him go carry gun". The despondency amongst the youths is real. Nigerians are at their witts end and the intervention schemes of government are not getting to the authentic beneficiaries. |
peterboro:You that has deciphered the plot in the story please summarize for me. 1-Bandits attack my village. 2-The police comes and take some of our youths as alleged culprits . 3- our women [ who are now mostly widows] demonstrate at the police station [obviously against the arrest] 4- comes back home to burn down the chiefs house for being a sellout And you can't connect the dots that the youths were wrongly arrested? How are you sure the youths are not being persecuted for standing up to the attackers and the chief all along is complicit in the attack. I pity your comprehension skills. Continue frolicking in your folly. |
Hmmm ........ And they have distributed it? |
Congratulations sir |
Making money is a game. The money game is not taught in schools. The Jews teach their children the money game and that's why they are relatively rich . Our SE brothers to a large extent have been able to decode the money game irrespective of the activities of a tiny minority who engage in illegal acts. Nature abhors eating all your fruits with the seeds, so why would you eat all you remuneration without saving for the rainy days? Also, if you fail to show your money where to go, you will always wonder where it went. Saving money in the bank is a scam, invest it. Even the banks don't keep your money, they loan it out and only keep a fraction of it as the fractional reserve ratio. |
Ayjay44:Whatever is pushing you in this quest is not worth it my brother. In Nigeria, if you use an illegally acquired firearm to kill the most wanted criminal in town, the police will still drag you like Tiger generator instead of applauding your bravery. |
Ayjay44:Whatever is pushing you in this quest is not worth it my brother. |
Why persecute the bereaved? You arrest the same people who were attacked on what grounds. That they are insiders in the heinous attack on their own people? |
First, they took out history as a subject from 2nd tier school curriculum. Having failed in achieving their objectives due to the Internet which has archived materials for future referencing, they have resorted to gaging the press so we are oblivious of their land grabbing activities having failed in their "Ruga" bid. Thank goodness, they can't gag the Internet. "The greatest weapon is the TRUTH" |
To think that Kaduna does not have an international border is a commendable achievement. States with international border should be doing 5x this revenue. Kudos |
The word "welcome" gives me the cringe in this incestuous relationship. "Crazy things are happening" |

Abeg no vex, na turn by turn. All roads are important be it trunk A or "Z" road but the funds to complete these roads is the wahala on ground. The government has been on Lagos Ibadan forever and it's just at phase 1completion and some folks are already ululating to high heavens that the road is complete because "dem see coal tar". They fail to realise that it's the service amenities that prolong the longevity of the roads. No marginalization intended in my list please. |
Kai !!! And emeifele would come out and berate oil thieves, aboki fx, BDCs, DMBs, dollars buyers etc for the woes of the naira. Does this act not call for the death penalty? |
BigNija:99% is far fetched. What you are seeing and calling 99% is just phase 1 of the project. Let's be guided when making claims . I am not out to disparage buhari or any president. They all had their good and bad moments. https://guardian.ng/news/lagos-ibadan-expressway-weve-completed-phase-1-federal-controller/ |
IPDGP:https://guardian.ng/news/lagos-ibadan-expressway-weve-completed-phase-1-federal-controller/ The road is more than the pave surface you can see. The article above will give you some insight |
Ikaeniyan0:https://guardian.ng/news/lagos-ibadan-expressway-weve-completed-phase-1-federal-controller/ “The phase one is to allow the major carriageway from Chanage zero to 43 to be completed. “That is the phase one which has been delivered now by the contractor. “The phase two comprises the overhead bridges, the pedestrian bridges and then the interchange. That one is phase two, we are about moving into that,” she said. |
BigNija:90% completion is not completed my brother. Dangote's refinery is also over 90% completed. I listed it because the contractors have not formally handed it over to the government. When the 2nd Niger bridge was completed, Julius Berger handed it over. Besides, I will need some educating on where you sourced your 90% completion rate from with no offence intended. |
The curriculum of the Nigeria army depot needs to be overhauled and civilian lecturers introduced to better mould the junior cadre officers of the army especially. The tirades from the 2 recruits making the rounds in the cyber space can be extrapolated as the mind-frame of a typical soldier on the street towards civilians however their status in society. This is appalling to say the least. |
