Not a big deal if there are no other hidden charges. |
"Nobody innocent" Na who Dem catch be thief |
It's worrisome to know that hepatitis B is a preventable illness that has grave consequences of not diagnosed early for continued surveillance and management when eligible. Failure of past governments to enforce the routine children immunization policies but instead danced to the ignorance of religious leaders is the sole reason for this flare up in cases. Unlike hepatitis C that is curable, people infected with the B variant would be on surveillance and possible drug management for life. |
The irony is that it is when the defense budget is increasing exponentially that insecurity has become pervasively endemic. It's either our security agencies are damned incompetent or outrightly complicit in abetting and aidding the perpetrators. |
Okoroawusa:Can you equate your assertions to marrying off a 4 year old girl to a 54 year old man? Which society sanctions that if they are not barbaric, uncivilized and fetish. |
The problem is not increasing the quantity of naira bills you take home but the fact that would 200K translate to a Living wage when implemented? After paying the 200k, what happens if a bag of rice costs 100k? I foresee inflation making nonsense the expected gains from this wage increase. The monies that would be chasing fewer goods and services would be monumental. |
A drone of 5kg weight with 70 hours of flight time and ports for munitions is definitely a security risk to any country. The question begging for answer is can such drone be bought off the shelves even in developed countries? |
It's a fact that everyone knows but it's good the culprits are gradually coming out to make open confessions without prompting. The truth is like pregnancy, as long as it is not aborted it must surely be birthed. |
Amotolongbo:Stating the obvious should not be misconstrued as judging him. His life and associated scandals are all in the public domain . He's is a case of "do what I say but not what I do" and that Is the definition of a hippocrite. |
Providing the money for the cooking is more maturity than engaging in the menial activity that a hired chief can do better. This is 2024 and there is no time to waste time. |
Na WA o! You are being sentenced for ATTEMPTED battery and you ended up battering the judge inside court. Hmmm, this guy surely needs psychological evaluation. |
You can't live without it, yet your life is not a true reflection of one who lives by it. Hippocrite spotted Addition Hmmm! I just noticed I am being heavily dragged like tiger generator since this post hit front page. In fact, my singular post has derailed the thread and I am being pummeled like NLC president from all sides. I know I have touched on the sensitivity of most people especially seeing that the person in question is inarguably one of our greatest exports in the field of music. However, how can we correct the age long believe that we are "people of the book " if we continue to excuse our actions but profess to be followers of light. I am sorry if my post was misconstrued as being judgemental of the figure in question. Shalom. |
Monitoring spirits have resumed from recess |
These ones give us a bad name outside The country. Must we always wash our dirty linens outside for the world to see. Those drinks are unwholesome and sources of several health challenges chief among which is renal damage. |
Great suggestions. Our bicamera legislation is not only inefficient and resource draining for a poor nation as ours, it slows down the passage of laws that may warrant passage and unification from both chambers. We must not copy other people's democratic styles verbatim to be called a democracy. Let's reengineer one that fits our political exigencies. I can recall that in Myanmar (formerly Burma), they have seats dedicated to the military. That's their own way of curtailing military incursions into governance and it has worked for them so far. |
Mission accomplished without drama. Wisdom is profitable |
We die here! Relocate and leave the country for who? The grass ain't any greener out there. |
We barely made it out from the clutches of the "lifeless one" because some sycophants sold us the narration that he had integrity. Very early in the life of this administration that has hit the ground "confused ", someone is already breaching our constitution by suggesting tenure elongation. This post is written in bad taste |
"All animals are equal but some are more equal than others" The above quote from George Orwell's book The Animal Farm aptly captures the happening in Nigeria. The fulanis have the right to attack but when you fight back in self defence, the military and police swoops on you and arrest you for exercising your fundamental rights to self defence. This is the same scenario playing out in the middle belt region. |
First, it was Union bank that was fraudulently acquired. That one has not simmered down yet, Polaris bank has joined the discuss. It has been a roller coaster ride of one corruption case to another in the last few months. Nigeria is turning into an active crime scene by the day |
Some traditional rites still caste us as barbaric and uncivilized. The poor girl always falling ill may not be far from sickle cell disease. In some tradition, they are even call "ogbanje". This is largely poverty driven. |
We will take him seriously when we see the manuscripts of the 2nd book of LAMENTATIONS. When dollars was flowing from our common wealth to his account, did he lament? He should better adjust his knickers and prepare to dance to whatever music the efcc plays for him. |
He will never be poor with the amount of investment he has executed in his country. Mikel should take note, we don't have power to bail him if anything happens to him as he is enjoying himself in UK o! At least, Ahmed musa head also dey house. |
It would be much appreciated especially after the festivities and spendings. Paying the money in staggered form will make nonsense of it than paying it as a lump sum. |
No pictures of the road or market. I hope it's not that mansion that is the market? |
Congratulations. Go on and do greater exploits. |
The best quote I found this year on Nairaland is " Nigeria is a CRIME SCENE" It is when the import of that quote hits you that you will realize that the "Snatch it, grab it and runaway with it" charge was only to secure access to our common wealth and now that they have gotten to the bag, you can all see the quantum of sleaze they are perpetrating. We've always known that Dangote was a creation of the northern oligarchs. He is a front for most politicians to launder our pilfered resources. I just hope Asiwaju has to balls to carry through with this investigations from which I doubt he would be exonerated. Another scandal loading soon. Nigeria is a country of one week, one scandalous news. |
I didn't know armed drones could be readily picked off the shelves by private citizens of any country. Such sales are usually between national and under tight regulations. So how comes someone is importing a military drone into the country and to what purpose exactly? |
Good moves . Why do we then have places designated as markets if the streets can be commandeered for such activity. Besides defacing the city, they also serve as sources of refuse that litters the scenery and breeds rodents and flies which on their own could cause an epidemiological health outbreak. I know my people will misconstrue this laudable exercise as an attack on people from a certain ethnic nationality but come on, can't government sanitize its environment without such cheap blackmails? Is it not here we read how a woman had her deep fried full cow and 2 rams meat confiscated in the UK for contravening their laws. If such were to happen here, different ethnic and religious colouration will be read into it. Lagos is leading by example. |
Obrigardo:Redemption |
Illegal runs by a bank driver gone awry Someone has lost his job due to greed. |
