sonnie10: When we were there, there was this woman that owned a provision store. Big rats would enter at night and ate some of her goods amounting to a lot of money then. She did everything to stop them including setting traps and putting things like biscuits, bread, fish etc in big thick plastic container at night but the rats would still find their way in.
Eventually one morning her trap caught one big pure white rat. Note, white rats are very rare in that place. In fact most people had never seen one. The rat was will alive in the trap. All of a sudden someone from the next compound came and was pleading to let the rat go but the owner of the store refused.
On interrogation, the person that came to beg reviled that the grandmother who lived next compound was the one who was requesting for the rat to be released. All plea fail on deaf ears. The rat was finally set ablaze. While the rat was burning, the old woman in the next compound was feeling the heat. Crying and screaming.
At the end, the rat died and that was when the woman gave up the ghost. True story from an eyewitness. So, what's the moral of the story? |

I am beginning to have a lot of respect for Wike. To be fair to him he has been one of the most consistent and courageous governors from PDP. While others were romancing Buhari he stood firm in opposition even at the risk of losing elections. Its obvious he is a principled man unlike most of those other governors who are only interested in their belly. 7years after Jonathan left office he is still on his side. Not once has he betrayed Jonathan or PDP even when under pressure. Principled men like him are what Nigeria needs, not those LIARS and PROPAGANDISTS. So many Nigerian politicians are Judases but not Wike. |

Why say she's responsible for her sister's marriage failure?you spoke in a very immature way and you are here talking about me being immature.. Pls she needs mature advice not your kind who are too quick to conclude negatively.. When you keep quiet at times people would think you are intelligent but when you rush to talk it exposes your foolishness. It's better to read other people's comments and learn from their intelligence . Bottom power does not equate to intelligence. Sometimes, silence is golden. |

A plate of food was 50, petrol was 10 Naira per litre.
When will you people understand that, until Nigeria produce what it consume, inflation will always be a problem. While not a fan of PDP, at least on one occasion they returned Nigeria to the old better status - PDP under Obasanjo and a Yoruba man, cleared all of Nigerias debts. Instead of Buhari clearing GEJs debts he multiplied it by 10. This government is a failure on all counts. |

I won't be surprised if in the future this government start claiming things like railways as their achievement. But what they seem to forget is that no amount of infrastructure can equate security and justice/equity - attributes lacking in the 8years of this government. The No. 1 responsibility of any government anywhere in the world is Security. And they failed woefully in this most important responsibility of government. |

Only the Fit will survive (in this case, financially fit)
Because I don't see any reason why students would have enough time to beat a fellow student to the point where his liver will be enlarged.
And also points to the fact that there was no proper disciplinarian in the school. (No lights out, no hall master, no year head)
Also that the teachers themselves were respectful of the culprits due to the wealth and social standing of their parents. (Looking for tips and handouts from them during visiting days)
Nothing like a Good, Government School. Where regardless of your wealth and standing, a hot headed teacher can slap celestial beings into your damaged brain. Slap in a private school. The same parents who are grieving now had quarrelled with teachers who are strict with their children. The unfortunate thing is that these parents want to eat their cake and have it at the same time. Teachers are being sacked simply for shouting on stubborn students. Nigerian parents must make a choice: disciplined children or spoilt children. I rest my case. |

Reflect7: America has a worse internal 'Taliban' - the killer Americans who commit over 50,000 gun killings per annum. Why has the US law enforcement not been able to stop them? That's like 20 Boko harams operating all at once, yet you worship America like a fcking slave. No society can stop killers but good societies make sure that they are caught shortly after committing the crime with their pictures and name on all news media within hours. Can you say same about Nigeria? Till date Nigeria does not have a functional fingerprint database. No Boko- Haram sponsor has been arrested and prosecuted. So, no society is perfect but there must be elements of seriousness to tackle insecurity which Nigeria lacks. As we speak Lagos- Kaduna Highway is under the control of Bandits. |
