Yesterday, 31st December, 2018 , Donald Trump of America gave his [b]41st Fox News Presidential Interview [/b]within 2years of Inauguration. In contrast Nigeria's President Buhari has only given [b]one Presidential Interview i[/b]n almost 4years. Yet, he wants a second term in office ! How can Nigeria progress fast when it's leader cannot articulate his agenda but only depends on others to do so for him ? This is one of my observations. Can you make yours based on the topic or comment on the way out of this dilemma .

Dear Deomello, I have not derailed from the topic of your thread which is about Lagos growth of 4% and is about Lagos developement. One of the MATTERS ARISING out of that topic is FOI. You can't talk of true and verfiable development/growth without transparency which FOI is about. Or isn't that what obtains in developed countries ? Imagine the size of Lagos budget without accountability - beats my imagination. Take note I am not PDP and I have not mentioned Buhari in this discussions. I have limited my talk to Lagos which is also ur subject.I am just a concerned Lagosian and I know you are passionate about Lagos. BTW, I am surprised u called FOI rubbish. How will Lagos attract sustained foreign investment without FOI ?

4. Lagos state is not just constructing a Metro line, they are constructing a 10 lane freeway with BRT access at the same time.

3. If you are even going to compare Lagos with other countries in Africa, show us the ones constructing a 10 lane freeway system with Metro rail and BRT access, multiple stations and metro rail bridge over a Lagoon.

Many of you always cannot wait to let us know how much you hate your country and put your country down when in fact your own country is doing better than other countries.

How many states, I don't mean country, I mean states in Africa are undertaking so massive projects.? Name one, apart from Lagos state in Nigeria.

But why are your principals adamant about not passing the FOI law ? Let there be transparency in all the ownership and revenue structures ? Transparency is a key ingredient of true development.

Yes the former NEPA was privatized to DISCOs but electricity generation was solely the responsibility of the FG.

All the existent power-generating facilities were built or initiated by the Jonathan govt.Others initiate but uncomplete ones were completed by the Buhari govt as government is a continuum.

However tell us how many MW have been added to the national grid beside the propaganda by this APC of an imaginary achievements wherein the power situation have not only been abysmally bad, but DISCO have refute the govt claim of improved electricity.

For more than 30years Buhari kept on contesting for Presidency as if he had solution to the countries problems , 4years after getting there he has remained more clueless than all the President's he criticised. Nigeria is getting worse.

To be honest all these people are better than Bubu. At least they are still active and intelligent - they are not lifeless. Also they can communicate their visions to Nigerians without holding any prepared speech and can address electorates directly. I am tired of having a President who cannot speak in public without making gaffes - only speaks through media aides. Garba Shehu, Femi Adesina, Lai Mohammed seems to be more popular than the President among the educated folks.

Very soon all forms of extortions suspended under Ambode will resume under Sanwo Olu if he wins the general elections. From lasma to VIO to Frss to nurtw and so on. Lasma will soon resume their fines of 20,30,50k for minor offences soon.

All I know is that under Ambode frivolous collections reduced drastically - even the nurtw guys had to scale down. I can't remember when last lasma harrased motorist. If Sanwo Ori becomes govnor all manner of illegal collections will resume. Ambode definitely ruled Lagos with human face !

Two armed robbers have been apprehended by men of the Imo police command. The armed robbery suspects were arrested by operatives of the F-SARS Imo Command, acting on a tip-off along Arondizuogu Ideato North local government area of the state.

One Larry Ojo, 28 yrs of Idobu Benin by pass, Edo state, was arrested along with one Osaze Jude 'm' age 20yrs of Sakpoba road, Benin, Edo state.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the two armed robbery suspects robbed one Mikiste Thomas in Edo state at gun point and made away with his Toyota Camry with registration number AGB 460 GC among others valuable items.

The suspects were arrested while driving the stolen vehicle to Imo State.

Investigation is in progress.
