I'm just going 2 repeat what everyone has said!!!!! Mitchyy, Love your hair, top, & skirt. I love the concept u were going for - you just fell a few inches short of KNOCKOUT. 1. That neckpiece looks out of place (I won't say tacky) 2. Black thin strappy sandals or pumps would be better. 3. Y u come pose like me na? ![]() |
My major problem with Angie is that she is too white, babe, get a tan ASAP. Christina may have accesorised it very well, but Angelina Jolie rocked the dress better. |
Who wore it better ? (or how do we call it here?) Christina Aguilera vs Angelina Jolie in Micheal Kors.

Zendaya is 17 years old & she does dress well for her age. I've noticed that she likes to add some feminine flair to her "tomboy" (ruffled blouse, statement necklace) in this case, I think its the bra. I'm not saying I love the outfit, but it reminds me of TLC in the "good ol days" so I don't hate it. Can I just be indifferent ![]() |
moscobabs: Wetin FIL do u ooo? abi he want y call when I can talk to him on his wife's fone? |
I call at least twice a week. This is so they can talk to their grandchild. Some how I end up talking to mum & MIL everyday (they call, hubby calls them). My dad, once a week or less; FIL, never. The grandmums usually extend our greetings. |
Irish spring has been my soap for years. I am naturally fair skinned & use creams only when my skin is horribly dry/white from harmattan (never remember 2 use them otherwise). When pregnant, I used palmers cocobutter lotion & now, my skin has ugly patches of fair & dark spots especially my face, neck & chest. What soap can I use that won't dry me out or white me up? ![]() |

TopeMel: Dear Mothers,Have you seen a doctor about it? Especially if his neck is stiff or if he cries. Otherwise, he will outgrow it soon. Just try this simple massage - when he is sleepy/ sleeping, turn his head to the right & rub his neck/shoulders slowly |
Proudly bini. I think someone should start a thread on Benin folklore/folklore in general. There are so many stories I heard growing up, true life stories & fiction, I can't remember most of them. For example Idia, Emotan, Imaguero, Ahruan & Esigie, Ewuare, Ewere etc. |
Mums in the house, no one answered how 2 stop my baby from sucking her finger. @goking, my email is maxiflexi@yahoo.com. Thanks |
Daycare has been a huge help but my 10 month daughter learnt to suck finger from her classmates. I tap her hand whenever she does it & she stops for a while. She completely stopped during august break when they were fewer kids, but now, she can't sleep without sucking her fingers!!! She is there from 7.30-6pm every weekday. How do I stop her? Do I change the daycare? |
Now this is it: my wife EDD date is 8 days gone and yet there is no sign the baby is ready to come out. We went to the hospital on saturday and her cervix was checked and found to be only 3cm. By the doctor calculation, he said she should fall into full labour in about 12-16 hrs!! Here we are 5 days after and there is no sign of labour. Her contractions come within 5-6 hours inbetween and they are mild. Can I opt for induce labour? Or should we wait for another 6 days( since they say EDD date can either come 2 weeks earlier or 2 weeks after). Baby heart beat is fine as mother and baby were checked again on wednesday.
The dr should have told you natural ways you could help induce labour. Google "natural way to induce labour". Can't remember all of them now. As long as baby is not distressed & doc is not worried, relax. I had my baby 6am on the day I would have been induced using only natural methods. ![]() |
missmishel: Hellow mummy's in the house, can a 4months old baby start teething. my baby's gum is really scratching him.Yes. My baby started scratching her gums & drooling at 3 months, but her first tooth came out just b4 8months. Don't giv medicines because teething drugs are made with paracetamol. Just read the leaflets. |
abisolaarshow: Please I need urgent help my sisters baby is 6months old but doesn't want to eat @ all. She sucks breast but not for a long period. We av tried all kind of food but she just doesn't want to eat. But now she s getting weaker by the day. We force her to take the multivitamins given @ d hospital but she still doesn't eat and she is underweight. Please help o.This is what I did for my daughter. 1. Introduce formula. If she hasn't been taking bottle b4, use a spoon & cup. Make a little (1-2 ounces). She may not drink it all so be prepared to feed her every 2-3 hours. This will fill her up 4 a long while. 2. Gradually introduce her to solids. For the first few weeks, just a taste, 1 spoon is all she will take. Don't be discouraged. Its a step in d right direction. Apart fron baby cereal, when you cook, (minimal pepper) dip your finger in & put it in her mouth. Eat boiled eggs & mash a pinch of yolk in her mouth. Mash a little boiled fish in her mouth. Its a gradual process. 3. Continue with the multivitamins. You are on the right track! |

corrall: My sisters, I read here sometime, that b.co, or astymin increases appetite. Abeg any advice? She likes dodo a lot, but as she get only 2 teeth for down, na me de chew am give am.Babes, make una answer now, I need the same advise for my 8 month old oh! |
Prettypresh: Am a first timer mum so no much xperience. Pls i have a challenge oo, my 3 weeks old baby has refused taking water nd 2ndly small portion at d front of his head is sunken,, is dis normal?? Nd sns i put to bed, my stomach has refused going inside nd am tired of using girdle. Can anyone tell me wat to use or do as to make my tommy go down. Plss i need replies oo cos its really giving me concern nd d stretch mark wont jst leave me alone.Congrats Presh & welcome. A sunken fontanelle usually indicates dehydration. If you are EBF, then you may have to feed him more frequently & you don't need 2 introduce water yet. If you use formula, then you have to give him water. Try spoonfeeding him with water. Its the only way he can drink at this age. Finally, RELAX! Keep tying for another week at least & massage your belly with Ori to heal the stretchmarks; your uterus is still contracting, your stomach will coming down. (Y can't we all be like Kate Middleton ) Just persevere. |
corrall: please someone mentioned fruity smoothie for our babies, abeg how dem de do am, i de introduce different stuffs to her and she likes some and makes her face at some.Smoothies are a mix of fruits blended sometimes mixed with milk or youghurt. My girl loves bananas so I blend one with a cup of milk for her. I also blend watermelon & pineapple strain some of d juice for her while I enjoy the rest. Avoshake: Blend ripe avocado with ripe banana and ripe papaya. Add some milk and mix together (you can also blend some apples with it). Serve cool. |
My colleague saw me buying bananas for my almost 8mth old baby & asked if I dewormed her @ 6mths. This is the first I'm hearing about deworming a baby, mum & MIL say its not necessary. Pls mums in the house, when did u deworm ur babies? |
Uzoo, my 8 month old has long hair on the top of her head but very little round the back & most of the front too. I've been told to chop it all off after her 1yr bday but I don't wanna!!! What can I do to encourage her hair to grow? (I use a mixture of sheabutter & coconut oil on our hair) |
kamalcole: Hi mummies in d house, pls how do i preserve d pap i made for my lo,d light in my area is not reliable nd my gen cant power my freezer. Can i also giv my 6 month old milo?ThanksFor raw pap, u can store it in the bowl/bucket u used 2 prepare it & cover it with enough water, change the water EVERYDAY to avoid smell. In fact change the water everytime you take from the pap, this keeps it fresh & prevents fermenting for a longer time. As I said earlier, its recomended to hold off introducing milo till a year, but most mums start @ 6months. |
My look of 2day!!! Ankara bohemian diva! (with a shrug for office) |
@Jade William, LWKM as I read your previous posts. I hope I can loose weight like you did because 7 months after birth, I weigh the same as the day I gave birth thanks to pap, yoghurt & kunu. |
My daughter was born with lots & lots of hair. By 3 months she had lost it all & now d hair refuses to grow. She has just a small patch on d middle of her head & is bald on both sides & round the back. Pls, how do I get her hair to grow ![]() |
corrall: R u sure?If it doesn't look like normal heat rash & nothing seems to work, then it maybe as a result of teething. My colleague's son had this weird eczema around his mouth 2days before his first tooth apeared & it dissapeared as soon as the tooth came out. |
corrall: When can one start giving babies beverages like milo? Its mostly advised to start giving them as from 1year, because baby bellies are too young to digest anything but water, breastmilk & formular until they are a year old. However, MIL (who happens to be a retired nurse) says I can start giving my 6mth girl Milo now. |

y call when I can talk to him on his wife's fone?
