Many people don't visit hospitals too its normal in the world while Christians in the first century also have to use MEDICINE for sicknesses:

"Do not drink water any longer, but take a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness." 1Timothy 5:23

Do you know why Paul or even Timothy couldn't perform miracle to cure himself?

Well that is what Paul told many first century disciples who were expecting miracles to continue that it was meant for a purpose so when that purpose is done such gifts will cease.

For your information Paul is the person Jesus told to connect gentiles to himself {Act 9:15} that is why it's only Paul that was writing letters to all the congregations where gentile converted to Christianity so a gentile Christian who feel Paul's letter doesn't apply to him is wrong o!😟

I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” John 13:34-35

He wasn't talking to all people but only to his own disciples,.

So Jesus can't command people who don't view him as anything nah!😟

Bro it is one of my greatest pains rn. I have an infirm parent who has suffered multiple strokes, the contrast between their current condition and when they were in good health is heartbreaking. Did Jesus perform any miracles to cure oldage or infirmities associated with it?

Did he promise any of his disciples that they won't experience infirmities associated with oldage?

NO!

Rather this is what the Bible says about oldage:

Remember, then, your Grand Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of distress come and the years arrive when you will say: “I have no pleasure in them” Ecclesiastes 12:1

This means by the time infirmities associated with oldage comes servants of the true God will sit down either on his wheelchair or laying down on his sick bed and look back to those days when he or she was actively participating in doing God's will and that smile of approval will come to his face as he remembers all the things he did with fellow believers in God's work.

But what about unbelievers who were running up and down seeking wealth and pleasure?

That's when they will say "There is nothing meaningful i did in all those days" Ecclesiastes 12:1b🙂

Well most people misunderstood JWs and instead of asking questions to get facts they concluded wrongly.

Before Moses did God give any human the power to perform miracles?
The answer is NO!
So why did God give humans the power to perform miracles?
Because it was needed to complete the message God wants to pass to mankind.

Moses needs to perform miracles so that Pharaoh could see that there is a God who is behind Moses's mission the same applies to Israelites.
Did God give the same power to anyone who is not from the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?
The answer is NO!
Because God's covenant is only with the descendants of Jacob so when Jesus walked the earth he made it clear that the power to perform miracles and it's benefits thereof are for Israelites only! Matthew 15:24 compare to Matthew 10:5-8
The only gift passed onto gentile Christians is tongues!
WHY?
Because many will use languages that's not their mother's tongue to preach and teach like today i often use English, Pidgin and Yorùbá to preach and teach in my neighborhood but when it comes to performing miracles God restricted that gift only to Israelites and after the destruction of Jerusalem and the death of all the apostles no human was given such a gift again till today!

Do miracles still occur?
YES but no longer a gift to be performed by any human rather our God acts in our behalf when He choose to do so. Many times miracles do occur among us but we can't advertise it because no one knows when Jehovah wants to step in for us in a supernatural way that's why we don't publicize it unlike churches of Christendom who often tell people to come and see miracles yet none of them can cure real sickness like Corona Virus! 🙂

Quite true. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are actually one of the few denominations who are still following Christ. Most churches now are headed by motivational speakers who only use the name of Jesus to preach other things. The goal is to attract members to their church and the members will bring the money.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told.

I would love to be a JEHOVAH'S WITNESS, because of their gentle life. Relaxed service and programs(not those stressful and loud types), and serenity of their church yard. Infact, its this serenity of their abode that blows my mind!

But the thing that worries me, is their misled teachings. How can you say that we are not going to die, but remain on earth and unite with our love ones and live happily together forever!

I am not sure the respect JWs have is on account of what you say. It is more on account of their general simplicity, general adherence to bible truth, and the fact that no one can accuse them of being commercialised or money or power focused like most other denominations are. Alot of people see a purity in them which is lacking in many other places. I should know, for as I told you, in my youth, I used to be one.

Please what is the difference between you and Cain who killed Abel for his faith? Ordinarily Radical islamists don't attack JWs because we don't provoke them with curses in their streets {Matthew 12:19} neither do thieves target us because we don't flunt riches! Matthew 6:19-21

You can't use such a translation to make intelligent disciples because they will question what you read meanwhile it's the fault of the translator not God's inspired word!

So the version you used is erroneous.

This is how a better translation puts it:

This is the history of Noah. Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God. Genesis 6:9

The word RIGHTEOUS means he served the true God and faultless means while others allowed the circumstances to mode them Noah proved different.

No one can be perfect in God's eyes yet not good o!😟

I am talking about the peculiar infirmities and vulnerabilities of old age and old age related illnesses which can be extreme and depressing.

It's part of the consequences of Adamic sin we inherited.
Today we live less than 100 years and our infirmities and vulnerability begins at late 70s so from that time onwards we start to anticipate expiration but do you know Adam suffered greatly?

He died at the age of 930 which means his oldage, infirmities and vulnerability began when he was in his late 700s so for about 230 years Adam suffered till he finally died.

That is what we inherited from him so at oldage we should be ready to face the consequences of what Adam caused for all his descendants.

See this three girls and what they had to experience before their expiration!

They are not One so there is no way to agree on true headship.

Old age wasn't part of God's purpose for us {Job 33:25} it came along with sin {Romans 3:23} so long or short life means nothing to the true God {Genesis 5:23-24} because this is not what real life means to Him! 1Timothy 6:19
What God promised His worshipers is everlasting life! Psalms 37:29; John 3:16

This is a very beautiful and Well written Post. Yes it is true we should love everyone but housing a stranger is very risky. In Nigeria today the the good Samaritan would have been robbed or kidnapped by the man pretending to have been robbed. One really has to really on God for wisdom and guidance.

Among us there is nothing to fear we have our own language that we speak globally so no matter where i go on this planet my fellow believers will welcome me even though i'm a total stranger to them and the same thing i will do for a fellow believer even though i never met or seen him before.

That's what true Christians are enjoying from the time of Jesus till today:

“Truly I say to you, no one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news  who will not get 100 times more now in this period of time—houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields, with persecutions—and in the coming system of things, everlasting life." Mark 12:29-30
As a true believer in Christ i have houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, works though i expect to be persecuted for being a true Christian but all that i have globally everywhere i can find my fellow believers in Christ.

This is what assured me that i'm in the true religion and everlasting life is sure just as Jesus said!🙂

They weren't killed by hidden hoodlums rather it's the authorities that sentence them to death due to their faith because they refuse to carry weapons or join politics!🙂

That was the problem God sent Jesus to solve. I'm afraid you are stuck at the problem.
This is it:
1. The Problem: "All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.[/b] l" Psalm 14:3.

This was the problem, but God has moved beyond the problem. He promised a solution and fulfilled the promise.

2. The Promise:

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." Ezekiel 36:26-27.

3. The Fulfilment:

"We know that we live in him and he lives in us because he has given us his Spirit.' 1 John 4:13

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. " Romans 8:9

4. The Process - Your Responsibility :

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God (through His indwelling Spirit) transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2.

"This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.". Ephesians 4:13.

5. The Solution - Our Current Reality:

"Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.". Romans 5:1

"There is therefore [b]now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit". Romans 8:1-2.

Hence,

"The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commands men that they should all everywhere repent:" Acts 17:34.

Note: All emphasis are mine.

You see, above there are just Scriptures without my own words .showing you how God has moved believers from the Problem, through the Promise, the Process, etc until we got to the Solution and our current reality. But, you, Truthseeker10, Cornelboy, Aemmeijah, Janosky, and your entire organization are still stuck at The Problem. And that's exactly where Satan wants you to be. God has already moved on.

Most people often misconstrue Jesus' statement there is one law guiding the worshipers of God in ancient times:

“‘You must not take vengeance nor hold a grudge against the sons of your people, and you must love your fellow man as yourself. I am Jehovah. Leviticus 19:18

In this commandment the Israelites were instructed not to hold a grudge against a fellow Israelite who are their neighbors to crown it all any Israelite is a neighbor which each one must loves as himself.

This is the law Jesus quoted for the man who asked him a question regarding the greatest commandment {Matthew 22:36} back then Israelites only view those living next to them as neighbors but in the first century the Jews had no dealings with Samaritans even though they are all Israelites so Jesus used an illustration that got his Jewish people annoyed by saying a Jew was attacked by robbers two Jewish religious leaders passed by and walked away only for a Samaritan to help the victim paying all his bills the next question Jesus asked them made them angrier than ever:

"Who of these three seems to you to have made himself neighbor to the man who fell victim to the robbers?" Luke 10:34

Jews hate to say Samaritans are their neighbors so reluctantly the man said:

“The one who acted mercifully toward him.”
Jesus then said to him:
“Go and do the same yourself.” Luke 10:37

So Jesus settled the issue of neighbor that has been difficult for Jews to grasp for centuries, whoever you can help is your neighbor.

Now Jesus gave his own disciples another law that differs from that one:

"I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves." John 13:34-35

This commandment is not easy as most people often quote because it means a Christian must love a fellow Christian just as Jesus loves us which means we should be ready to die for our fellow believer if the need be!

Unlike the other law which says love as yourself this is must stronger.

For instance a Christian came from Ghana to Nigeria and he is stranded a fellow Christian must house him, feed him, clothe him and do everything manly possible to assist him even though the Ghanaian is a total stranger to me. WHY? I must love him just as Jesus did so this means true Christians must have a way to identify themselves globally not just when someone say "i'm a Christian"

Today true Christianity has been finally restored, we know ourselves because we have a spiritual language that we speak among ourselves! Zephaniah 3:9🙂

Are you worshiping the same God with Anglican, Catholics, Deeperlife, MFM, Apostolic and the others claiming Christians?

Of course you are because your leaders do pray together when they meet as CAN so you who are following them also pray together at different occasions.

But are JWs worshiping the same God with anyone who is not submissive to those taking the lead in our organization?
The answer is NO!

WHY?

Because we believe Jesus has anointed brothers that we need to recognize {Matthew 25:40} to them we should be obedient {Hebrews 13:7} and also assist in the work he assigned to them {Matthew 25:35-39} they are his first sheep while we are his other sheep {John 10:16} together we must be One under his direction {John 17:22} that's why there shouldn't be anything like division among us {1Corinthans 1:10} this is why we can't perform any act of sacred service with you people not even a prayer!😟

So JWs aren't like you people different religions contradicting yourselves still claiming worshipers of the same Jesus! 😟

My friend, if humans cannot be perfect, don't you think it'll be wickedness on God's part to command us to do what we cannot do?
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matthew 5:48).
Why are we commanded to be perfect when we cannot? It will be wicked for you as a father to command your 4 year old to lift a 25kg keg of water when you know he can't. Even to promise him punishment if he doesn't lift it. Do you know that the Bible says "imperfection cannot inherit perfection"? To inherit God, you must be perfect like God. God gave you the Holy Spirit so that you can become like Jesus. Then, when we see Him, we shall also be like Him. That's the Bible.
God explicitly commanded us to be perfect, and the Scriptures say:
"His commandments are not grievous" (1 John 5:3)
That's to say, His commandments are not hard. His commandments for us to become perfect is not hard because He gave us His Holy Spirit as our enabler.
This is the Bible.

If I were the president of a country, I will give JWs some 10 - 20% discounted tax obligations. In return, I will announce that JWs should not be protected during armed robberies, violent attacks or wars. Bolo Haram, ISWAP, Bandits are free to attack them anytime. They've been discounted taxes so they're not paying protection and defence tax anyway. They cannot be enjoying protection and defence while discouraging military and paramilitary participation, and condemning the use of swords and guns by authorities. That's going to be very fair. 😂

The two Hebrew terms misconstrued by Christendom are:

Sheol
Gehenna

Sheol means grave or the place of the dead where no activity happens. Ecclesiastes 9:5-10

Gehenna means the dead condition of no hope for a resurrection.

Most translators often mix the two but they don't mean the same thing.

All dead people goes to Sheol while only the wicked goes to Gehenna God promised to resurrection the righteous and the unrighteous {Act 24:15} but the wicked will not be remembered at all {Psalms 9:17} which means they have been forgotten completely!

Surely no imperfect human can qualify for everlasting life that is what you are misapplying not that we can become perfect now that we have less than 80 years to live active lives. Psalms 90:10

But during Christ's 1000 years reign all inhabitants of planet earth will be given enough time, no sickness, death, pain, sorrow, hardship, hunger, terror, crime, injustice because Satan who is promoting those things has been chained! Revelations 20:1-3

Now ask yourself what exactly do you think could hinder any believer from becoming perfect like Jesus under such condition?

Well that is why God said whatever we do after we have attained perfection that will stand as bases for judgment {Revelations 20:11-13} for now what we need is obedience to work with Christ's anointed brothers because whoever fail to do so can't gain Jesus' approval into his 1,000 years reign! Matthew 25:41-46

You can see that in the early church about days of worship.
Those are not weighty. I am convinced that payment of tithe is part of Christianity. I know a Pentecostal church where offerings are not collected. That is their own understanding besides the core doctrines.
