Laws given to Israel was to help them as a nation but it further helps Christians to know how we can continue serving the same God without confusion.

From time immemorial, ours has been there. JW came out later on, maybe some sub-unit of dem, delve out of protestants, to start their own. Atleast we have been hearing different stories of heaven and earth, plus great saints of the old, who saw visions of dem(heaven/hell).
