Freewill has to do with what each person will like to do but can not affect his or her neighbour in anyway but once what you want to do will affect others then you must take guidance from God who created us all to direct you so that you won't hurt your neighbour!

The holy spirit teaches new things sir.
Jesus didn't teach everything to his disciples when he was with them. He knew the holy spirit will complete that.
John 16:12-13
[12]“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now.
[13]When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
The Holy Spirit will TEACH a small group who will dispense the teaching to the rest.
For instance in the first century there was a problem regarding the case of fellow believers who are not circumcised whether they are qualified members of the congregation or they must join their fellow believers who has been circumcised as Judaists before convertion to be counted as bonafide members of the congregation.
If the Holy Spirit is to teach each person back then how can Christians in all lands agree?
Because of arguments here and there each person quoting the scriptures to back their opinion the matter was taken to Jerusalem where the Governing Body (Apostles and Older men) prayed over the matter, God's Holy Spirit led them and their conclusion was sent to all the congregations. Act 15:1-29

If holy spirit was teaching each person how can that be possible for the entire association of believers to become One just as Jesus prayed? John 17:22 smiley

Maxim. Your point is not wrong but also no entirely true. Peter's confession on the Cornelius conversion shows that the holy spirit minister to him alone about salvation to the Gentiles even when other thought differently. Acts 11. But that personal revelation changed the dynamics. It is true that we learn more in fellowship, but it is not true that the individual cannot be taught by the spirit individually. But I get your point sir on fellowship.
Was Peter TAUGHT anything new that all other Christians don't know?
Ọmọ Jesus commanded that they will go to all the nations and make disciples {Matthew 28:19-20; Act 1:8} so that is not a new teaching others don't know but when it's time to learn new thing that may cause a division the little group leading the entire Christian organization global must come together for the holy spirit to lead them into scriptural truths. For the sake of innocent readers, what Max commits here is slothful induction fallacy!!!

Where against overwhelming evidence that Jesus is not Michael, he still insists for the furtherance of his own personal or denominational beliefs that Jesus is.

Also what he also commits is the famous correlation means causation fallacy!!!

Apart from this, he is also heavily involved in hasty generalization, false equivocations, appeal to population, appeal to hypocrisy, appeal to authority (posting one actor's statement), motte and Bailey(attack his posits then he retreats to drawing comparisons with Jesus or mentioning things like true believers showing works) and straw God/man fallacy which are direct consequents of his false antecedents!!!

Christianity Etc › Re: Notable Women And Early Marriages In The Bible, True Or False? by MaxInDHouse(m): 4:53pm On Feb 23, 2025
hmohammed:
In the Bible, the age of marriage for women varied, and some notable women did get married before the age of 18. Here are a few examples:

1. Rebekah: Married Isaac at a young age, possibly around 10-12 years old (Genesis 24:15-67).
2. Rachel: Married Jacob at around 14-15 years old (Genesis 29:1-30).
3. Leah: Married Jacob at around 14-15 years old, possibly even younger than Rachel (Genesis 29:1-30).
4. Mary (Mother of Jesus): Estimated to be around 12-14 years old when she became engaged to Joseph and conceived Jesus (Luke 1:26-38).
5. Esther: Possibly around 14-15 years old when she was taken into the king's harem and eventually became queen (Esther 2:1-18).

I wonder why people condemn early marriages by Muslims in the North.
Can you quote which verse explicitly mentioned the age of any of these women? smiley

Really 🥲, "rebellion".
Also in what way have we established our righteousness?
Is it by not saying Jesus is Michael?
Or by not alluding to the visible hypocrisy as regards self defense?
Or by not seeing any fault in blood transfusion?
Or by not holding the view that God is non transcendental?
By their fruits we shall know them!!!
Paul wrote:

Brothers, the goodwill of my heart and my supplication to God for them are indeed for their salvation. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to accurate knowledge. For because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness. Romans 10:1-4

There were countless Jewish religious sects in the first century each having its own Rabbi (Teacher) and all these people believe they are establishing facts from the word of God but they are not united in their submission to the scriptures all they are united in doing is criticizing, antagonizing and complaining about the only newly formed group (Christians)
Why?
Because the Christians believe in some strange things that nobody can establish in the Bible except through the works of their faith.
Take for instance:
*Jesus is the Christ or Messiah.
*John the baptist is Elijah.
*There is no further need of the Torah.
*Stoning a sinner is no sign of love.
*Jesus the accused, executed impostor resurrected and ascended to heaven.

Just to mention a few, all these sounds unscriptural to the Jews but the Christians hold these things so dearly in their gathering.
There was never unity among the Jews as each sect uphold the teachings of their Rabbi even though still confused as to which of the Rabbis had God's backing only the followers of Jesus strongly believe that whoever is not one of them believing what Jesus taught is doomed.
While all other Jewish religious sect are of the opinion that the Christians must be wiped out as heretics.

That's why i keep asking you people to present one church that's teaching the truth so that we can all have the same line of thought as the first century disciples of Christ did back then {1Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 4:3 compare to John 17:22} because it's clear that just like the first century Jews none of you believe in the teaching of any specific church you're all scattered spiritually speaking! Luke 11:23 smiley

Christianity Etc › Re: Joseph Had The Same Authority As Jesus.. by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:45am On Feb 23, 2025
immaculatesense:
You are correct sir. I do not disagree with you. And that is a good explanation of that verse. Like I explained earlier the word 'elohim' means god/divinity/deity. Jesus is divine/deity/god. This does not imply that he is equal to god who is the Father of all. He himself said that 'I go to my Father and your father, to my God and your God". Jesus is above all and only the Father is above him.
But let me note something, in the original Greek 'form' is not there as you used it. In the original it puts it as "being 'theos'', which is 'being god or deity or divine'. So, please, if you are not safe with calling Jesus god, don't alter the verse, since 'theos'' also means deity or divine', you can replace it with 'being divine.'
You can rephrase the passage like this to be safe sir.
Philippians 2:6-7
[6]Though he was God/Divine,
he did not think of equality with God/Divinity
    as something to cling to.
[7]Instead, he gave up his divine/god privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,

It means Jesus for the sake of salvation left his divinity and did not hold tightly to his divinity but took on the form of man which is an humble act.
Jesus is god who is subject to the Father who is above all and he is the one true god. Thanks.
All angels are gods/divine just as humans are gods too but when talking about my own God it is not Jesus just as no human is my God!

Maxim. I was careful with my choice of words like Paul in Corinthians 15. Jesus is not EQUAL TO GOD. Equal to means you can replace if stand in. But he is EQUAL WITH GOD. Equal with God means God has exalted him and given him a name that is above all names and all nations are to worship and serve him and only The Father who is the One True God is above him. I don't think you disagree with that sir.
Thanks.
God gave him a name that's above every other name means whatever Jesus says stands as final because he is God's appointed and anointed King over us all.

He is not our God since he is not the owner of whatever rules or standards he is setting those are from someone greater and wiser than him!
