Look trying to propagate Jehovah's witness is not preaching the gospel. You are not called to be witnesses of Jehovah, did you see Him to witness Him? Even the Father witnesses that Jesus Christ is His Son, we are to be witnesses of Jesus after receiving the Holy Spirit not Jehovah's witnesses.
Well whatever name you call yourself just make sure you join a group of evangelizers to do the work Jesus assigned to his disciples.

I'm 100% sure you can't find such elsewhere except among Jehovah's Witnesses.

So call yourself whatever you want.

Aside from before Christianity practically every period of written human history had these. Look up the late Bronze age collapse for example. As for since the establishment of Christianity as a religion the only thing missing is the "preached in all the nations" which is even still not completely true because of people like the Sentinelese who have been prohibited from being contacted or the Amazonian tribes that have not been reached at all.
Well i have Good News for you that apart from North Korea there is no country where Jehovah's Witnesses haven't reached with the Good News of PEACE!

The verse you quoted did not apply to the Roman invaders and the rich at the time buying/selling slaves and the slaves were even told: Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ Ephesians 6:5.

It seems it's for the poor so that they will not try hustling for money.
Romans didn't enslave the Jews they colonized them just as English colonized Nigerians that's why some Jews are allowed to nationalize as Romans.

Slavery was everywhere back then so Paul was telling slaves who embrace Christianity not to think the love Christ commanded believers to have among themselves changed their statues!

Don't say if he disagrees, he clearly has disagreed with you and still does because what you say is confusion
The truth is there is no sense in arguing without having anything to do with a team of evangelizers the word "CHRISTIANS" written in the Bible connotes an organized people who were unitedly doing what Jesus (Christ) commanded them {Matthew 28:19-20} no church on this planet has just two members zealously doing this except Jehovah's Witnesses.
Because the scriptures is not for each person to prove a point but for two or three to agree in doing the assignment Jesus gave his disciples that's what makes them his friends! Matthew 18:20

Like wars and rumors of war? Kindly tell me what period of history never had wars and rumours of war.
Great!
Now you're getting closer to the truth.

Remember that Jesus didn't just say wars and rumors of war rather he mentioned several events we can sum up as COMPOSITE SIGN:

In answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads you, 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold. 13 But the one who has endured to the end will be saved. 14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:4-14

Verse 5: Some politicians will rise and claim they are the savior of the world.
Verse 6: Wars and rumors of war.
Verse 7: Nations will rise against nations and earthquakes in many places.
Verse 8: These are just the tips of the iceberg.
Verse 9: Jesus' true disciples will be arrested and many of them killed.
Verse 10: Many disciples will give up and begin to hate those sticking to the faith.
Verse 11: Lots of people will be led into false religions claiming Christians.
Verse 12: Because of so much irregularities many will turn to atheism as their love for God cools off.
Verse 13: But few will not give up rather they will stick to what they know is fine in the faith.
Verse 14: The GOOD NEWS of God's Kingdom will be preached in all the nations and disciples of the Prince of Peace will prove to be in all the nations as a witness that he is working and gathering his subjects globally, then the end of badness will come.

Now kindly tell me what period of history has these simultaneously occurred just as it's happening today?

Exactly, why is God being referred to as Man.
Why? — I ask the JWs who are afraid of John 1:1 and what it means
They are also afraid of comparing Daniel 7:31-34 with Revelation 1:4-8, and Revelation 22:12-15
I am Maximus one of Jehovah's Witnesses!

John 1:1 reads

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.

Daniel 7:31-34

31 They have built the high places of Toʹpheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, something that I had not commanded and that had never even come into my heart.’ 32 “‘Therefore look! the days are coming,’ declares Jehovah, ‘when it will no longer be called Toʹpheth or the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom but the Valley of the Slaughter. They will bury in Toʹpheth until there is no place left. 33 And the dead bodies of this people will become food for the birds of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth, with no one to frighten them away. 34 I will put an end to the sound of exultation and the sound of rejoicing, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, for the land will be reduced to ruins.

Revelations 1:4-8

1 John to the seven congregations that are in the province of Asia: May you have undeserved kindness and peace from “the One who is and who was and who is coming,” and from the seven spirits that are before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” “the firstborn from the dead,” and “the Ruler of the kings of the earth.” To him who loves us and who set us free from our sins by means of his own blood— 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. Amen. 7 Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him. Yes, Amen. 8 “I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,” says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.”

Revelations 22:12-15

12 “‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work. 13 I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Happy are those who wash their robes, so that they may have authority to go to the trees of life and that they may gain entrance into the city through its gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and those who practice spiritism and those who are sexually immoral and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices lying.’

So what is the essence of these quotations?

Nachmonides:
I said recording history before it happens, not prophesying what is going to happen.

Let me explain:

Recording history before it happens refers to the Bible’s ability to prophesy and describe events that would occur many years later with remarkable accuracy. This is especially significant because it implies a higher perspective of reality, where God, being outside of time, can reveal future events in the present.

Isaiah 46:9-10: “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”

This verse emphasizes that God can declare the end from the beginning, a clear affirmation of divine omniscience and control over history. And he can also say what is to come (prophecy)

While many religious texts, including the Quran, contain prophecies, the Bible's ability to describe history in advance, often with intricate details that later align with historical events.

The Quran, for example, has prophetic teachings about the end times and events to come, but it doesn’t emphasize the concept of recording history before it happens in the same way the Bible does. The Bible contains specific instances where future historical events, like the rise and fall of nations, were written down well in advance, which adds a layer of credibility to the divine inspiration of the Bible.
So can you point out any recorded history the Bible mentioned that's happening today that's not also found in the Quran?

Note what the atheist told you:

"You are using the book to authenticate itself"

So we don't need something that's recorded and happened in the Bible because it's not in our own time to verify but if something is recorded in the Bible and is happening today everyone will know that it is not manipulated!

Ọmọ don't be deceived the Quran also have the same thing Muhammad prophesy many things that's happening today and he called it "END TIME EVENTS"

The balderdash is from you because we are not discussing if the god exists but the truth of the Bible.
The so called truths of the Bible have very obvious physical effects which should have been very evident. So miss me with that nonsense about religious truth BS.
The truth of the Bible never change just that you people don't want the truth!

Before the first ever miracles performed through the hands of a human God never promised the descendants of Abraham that he will use one of them to perform miracles rather what God promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is that their descendants will inherit the land of Canaan so when Moses got to Egypt and started performing miracles people thought he will always perform miracles each time they need anything but is that what God promised their forefathers?

NO!

So it's only Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephuneh that got to the promised land out of millions of Israelites who were above 20 years when they left Egypt.

What did God promised in the Bible that can't work except due to divine intervention?

You people will ignore that demanding what God never promised you as if without you His plans will not work.
As long as we have people like Joshua and Caleb today JEHOVAH will work with them and as for the rest they are on their own!
What would you consider valid evidence for the Bible’s truth. What is your criteria for truth?
That's exactly what no atheist or agnostic can deny not just quoting LETTERS out of a book that's not revered by all.

Paul said in his letter to Christians in Corinth:

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. ‭2 Corinthians 3:6 NIV‬

What's the import of this statement?

Paul knew how each Judaist used to ARGUE using the scriptures to back his personal opinion so it's like LETTER or CODE that each person holds so dear yet they keep fighting and killing one another over the CODE but what of God's SPIRIT?
This is what unites believers to WORK together as ONE {John 17:22} so that no atheist or agnostic can deny the evidence that's obvious to everyone not just what is read in a book to back the same book but FINE WORKS that's SEEN globally {Matthew 5:14-16} everywhere true Christians are doing what Jesus taught them Unitedly! Act 1:8

All of you are quoting the scriptures for sure but you can never ever find one person to join you in doing what Jesus commanded his disciples.

I remember my friend in Deeperlife back then he asked me:
"How do you (Jehovah's Witnesses) keep the preaching and teaching work at heart so that you're always doing it? I tried to organize my people in Deeperlife but each time we start it doesn't last more than a week or two before everyone gets tired but you Jehovah's Witnesses never gets tired of the work. Please what is the secret?"
Back then i was still new among the JWs and i'm not good in sighting the scriptures but today i know why no other group can WORK together no matter how much you people try it always end up in arguments and each person will go his or her own way justifying himself or herself while the assignment Jesus gave his disciples is left only for Jehovah's Witnesses! Matthew 10:11-13; 28:19-20; Luke 10:6

What is the purpose of prayer?

Faithful servants of God in Bible times do pray to God but what exactly do they often pray for?

Personal prayers are always about the NEEDS of the one praying not WANTS.

NEEDS~ Things necessary for life e.g food, clothing and shelter.

WANTS~ Things we prefer which varies due to individual choices.

No single servant of God pray for WANTS in the Bible and when they pray for NEEDS it's about what they need to participate fully in pure worship.

So when Jesus was teaching the crowd that came to learn from him he said:

When you pray, do not act like the hypocrites, for they like to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the main streets to be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your private room and, after shutting your door, pray to your Father who is in secret. Then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you. When praying, do not say the same things over and over again as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words. So do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need even before you ask him. “You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth. Give us today our bread for this day; and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.' “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; whereas if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" Matthew 6:5-15

Highlighted in blue shows what true believers NEED and it's the basis necessities of life for our daily living not UNLIMITED WANTS.

If each Christian is to meditate on what Jesus taught regarding prayer there won't be any need for show off {Matthew 6:5-6} or lengthy talks {Matthew 6:7} but simple and precise words {Matthew 6:8} remembering that God is the father of all creations so it's wrong laying curses on anyone be it friend or foe {Matthew 6:9} His Kingdom is the only solution to mankind's problems {Matthew 6:10} and things we need presently to cope until He decides to end badness {Matthew 6:11} all humans are imperfect so consideration is required on the part of each believer towards our neighbours regarding wrongdoing! Matthew 6:12-15

Speaking in tongues foreshadow what true Christians will be doing in our time as the GOOD NEWS will be made available in all languages that's why Paul said:

When what is complete comes, what is partial will be done away with. 1Corinthians 13:10

Today there is no language that true Christians haven't gotten members who are preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom. Act 1:8

Of course the modern day speaking in tongues has the backing of some higher intelligent beings {2Corinthians 11:14} but it's not for the same purpose God initiated it in the first century! 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 compare to Matthew 7:21-23

May you have PEACE!

Between the face of someone and his name which one is well known when photograph and drawing aren't rampant?

So it's the name "Jesus" that was well known not his face and since he's always with his friends whose dressing weren't different from his own only his friends could recognize him not those who aren't close to him.

If someone speaks at different places after taking his bath and well dressed it's not just his face that will be remembered but his clothing, hair style and body gestures but when his pictures or drawings are found in different places then it will be easy to identify him anywhere he goes even without his normal dress sense.

When Jesus walked the earth there were no photographs and only rich and influential people sits down for artists to have their drawings because it costs a lot so it was Jesus' name that's widely known and spoken of not his appearance that's why his enemies needed someone who is always with him to identify him so that even though he just wake up from sleeping this person can point him out in the midst of thousands!

If the early christians were trinitarian so were is all this confusion coming from huh
The early Christians weren't trinitarians they all believed in One God JEHOVAH and one Lord JESUS {1Corinthians 8:5-6} to them Jehovah is the person they pray to {Matthew 6:9} but they must do things as thought by Jesus the only begotten son of Jehovah. Matthew 17:5

Trinitarians started their own religion after the death of Christ's apostles those claiming Christians after them were sleeping spiritually speaking {Matthew 13:25} that's how Satan introduced contradictions, ego and pride which yields negative results so politicians who seeks their own glory took advantage of the situation to impose themselves on the less privileged forcefully establishing their government under the disguise of Christian soldiers.

Protestantism erupted through protests against oppression as many were persecuted and killed for speaking against forceful rules that the first century disciples of Christ never practiced, Jesus told them: "you must prove yourselves cautious as serpents and harmless as doves" Matthew 10:16

So they only present the message of God's Kingdom and their target were friends of peace {Luke 10:6} not violent or arrogant men!

But if truly Judas was a devil, why then did Judas show remorse after he betrayed Jesus, when did the devil started showing remorse?
Indisputable point!
Satan according to the Bible has never showed remorse because remorse leads to repentance so if Judas Iscariot is devil then why did he show remorse?

The truth is found in Paul's letter to Timothy:

To be sure, there is great gain in godly devotion along with contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, and neither can we carry anything out. So, having food and clothing, we will be content with these things. But those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge men into destruction and ruin. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains. 1Timothy 6:6-10

The highlighted in blue is what happened to Judas Iscariot not that God chose him rather he gave in to selfish desires which makes him easy to get for Satan!

Everyone is allowed to contribute. Just don’t spew hate.
The highlighted really amuse me because as one of Jehovah's Witnesses today what i have been taught is LOVE!

OK let's get started!

The whole idea of God was complicated when i first heard it because there are thousands of religions all claiming believers in God yet there is crime, violence and injustice everywhere so i pretended as if it's well after all everyone around me seems OK with it males, females, young and old, educated and illiterate all claim someone is up there watching us but then at the slightest chance they pick up weapons and start fighting and killing their neighbours while they forget this imaginary sky daddy.

All the religions around me are guilty so i kept it in my mind that once i find right thinking individuals like myself i will share what is in my mind but fortunately or unfortunately as it may seem i never found someone to share my thoughts until one day i was in a restaurant with my pairs then a young guy my age back then said his pastor (Oyedepo) just bought a private jet and asked
"how is God blessing these people nah?"
Another said
"they are all deceivers robbing people of their hard earned money"
Then one of us asked:
"Which of all these is telling people the truth?"
That's when an old man in his late 60s said: "children, will you like to know the only religion teaching the truth?"
We all responded "YES sir!"
I expected him to say "Islam" because from the way he dressed he's a Muslim but to my surprise he said:
"Do you know those people that goes about with umbrella and bag?"
One of my mates said:
"Jehovah's Witnesses!"
The old man said "that's the only religion saying the truth but don't ask me why i haven't joined them or how i knew"
Instantly i became curious because back then i was also a Muslim and i haven't met this religion before so i asked my friends to tell me more about Jehovah's Witnesses but all i was getting are negative comments.
Then i decided to find them myself ọmọ come and hear teachings!
What shocked me mostly is that this religion don't join politics or military so when talking about WARS no single member of this religion is involved globally!
That's what attracted me to them and i began learning more about God's purpose for mankind and gradually i began seeing the sense in the existence of a Creator who united people of all kinds and made them one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers! Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3

Hello and thank you for your responses, I have a question or two for you:
The same I asked Gohf, which have since seen silence. I perceive you're a JW like Gohf.
1, What does your bible say about John 1:1 in comparison to the original greek, and what can you conclude from careful reading of VV.1-14
2, What do you think about the connection between verse 16 of Revelation 22 and the preceding verses?
If V.16 begins with “I, Jesus, sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches..."
Which things, the ones said before or after (5 last verses)?
If God is the one coming in V.12, and then V.13 says he is the Alpha and the Omega, as Gohf has opined that God (the Father) is the one speaking in VV.12-15.
What do you have to say about Revelation 1:4-8 where we see almost the same texts of VV.12-15.
Who is the one coming that every eye will see?—which then follows with the "I am the Alpha and the Omega" statement.
It's good to know answers to all the questions we have about faith in God but we have to take it one at a time otherwise everything will be complicated.
Instead of focusing on what you were taught from childhood about God why not ask yourself how this belief is benefiting mankind because that's the purpose of God the supreme being not just arguing yet everything is contradictory and people claiming believers aren't worshiping harmoniously coupled with the fact that they are fighting and killing one another at the slightest chance of politics and racism!

All that happened to our LORD JESUS CHRIST is as pre-planned.
His birth: Isaiah 9.
His betrayal: Psalms 41:9
His suffering: Lamentations 3:27-30.
His trial and death: Isaiah 53.
Everything was pre-planned to be.
Nothing was by coincidence.
Do you think that Our LORD JESUS CHRIST came to live forever on earth?
He came for a mission, and the mission was accomplished.

Did you not read the LORD said:

“I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.”
— John 13:18 (KJV)

Or why do you think He told His disciples three good times He is going to Jerusalem to be betrayed, killed, and will rise again on the third day?
Or do you think He wasn't aware of what happened before they happened?
The case of Judas Iscariot is not the same as everyone else on earth.
You just like arguing and explaining everything carnally.

What was his mission in the first century before gathering a group of faithful people?

Well the answer is simple Jesus' presence will help his group to WORK as a team in doing God's will!

So when individuals separately thinks they are Christians yet failed to work together in doing the work Jesus assigned to his disciples surely they are deceiving themselves because Jesus can't be in a gathering that's not doing God's will.

Therefore the only weapon Satan is using to make people seek their own glory instead of working towards God's will is disagreement.

Let them keep on disagreeing among themselves yet claiming they are for Jesus who is the Prince of Peace! Isaiah 9:6 compare to Luke 10:6

someone told you nonsense and you are believing it, maybe it is also true his body was stolen
Since you've concluded already i don't think it's worth it asking questions again!

gohf:
which means you are corrupting the word of God with your own imagination.
Jesus changed his body and put new holes in the one he showed Thomas in John right
gohf:
You have just described the most international no, the most comical and biggest universal fraud to occur in all galaxies and yet you believe it. This is another false version of Jesus among the numerous versions I have heard of

So you were with the elders when they were discussing about Jesus and the fig tree for you to know the fig tree was literal.
Wisdom is defined as the discretionary use of knowledge for the greatest good which means wise people makes use of the knowledge they acquire to benefits all concerned. So if something is not working out benefits it means such ideas is not from wise people! Proverbs 13:20
MindHacker9009:
If you don't understand then it's you that needs to explain what you wrote hear and show where God is happy with such nations in the Old Testament: "The Romans don't have God's laws so if they go contrary to it or disregard any prophet God sent they are doing so UNKNOWINGLY unlike the Jews in whose laws it's written"
Now i get what you're trying to say.
God didn't grant the entire Roman nation the forgiveness Jesus prayed for rather it's only the soldiers involved in what they had no foreknowledge about.
So Jesus wasn't praying for the entire nation of Rome!

Then why not just take the whole New Testament as a literal story instead of picking what you like to be a literal story.
Show where in the Old Testament God forgave nations like the Roman empire that were not following his laws apart from Nineveh that repented.
When elderly people are talking they often use idioms and proverbs in their utterances and they don't expect everyone to grasp what they are saying because such information is not for people who aren't ready to work with them so those who understands will have to explain to those who wants to know what is required to work with the wise and elderly people.

I don't know what you mean by the highlighted can you please simplify it?

Nachmonides:
Paul never taught anything except that which Jesus and those before him taught.
If you don't consider Paul, which of the disciples of Jesus do you then consider—or would you consider them all irrelevant?
I think i should ship few things in here about Paul.

According to God's word the Christ wasn't sent to the whole world {Matthew 10:6; 15:24} rather it's his sacrificial death that will bring salvation to all obedient mankind. John 3:16

How will this work?

God promised after the rebellion in the garden of Eden that a seed of a figurative woman will crush Satan's head while Satan bruise him in the heel. Genesis 3:15
Later God promised Abraham that this seed will come from his lineage. Genesis 12:1-3
The promise was made to Isaac and Jacob Abraham's son and grandson respectively. Genesis 17:18-21; 32:24-30
God promised the Israelites (Jacob's descendants) that He will send another prophet like Moses to them {Deuteronomy 18:18} and they must listen to whatever instructions he gives! Deuteronomy 18:19 compare to Matthew 17:5
Jesus instructed his disciples that whatever command he gives them they should take to all friends of peace anywhere they may be found! Luke 10:6
But they (twelve apostles) must stay in Jerusalem until he gives them orders to leave the place. Act 1:4
When Paul (Saul) was persecuting the disciples due to his affluence and education Jesus saw that this man was doing all these to please the true God unknowingly to him that he was actually fighting against God.
So Jesus chose Paul to become an apostle to the nations. Act 9:15; 1Timothy 2:7

Therefore whatever Jesus taught the Jews who had God's laws to guide them he has chosen Paul to translate it for nations who don't have God's laws {Romans 2:15} so that all believers throughout the earth may have the same line of thought {1Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 4:3} whether Jews or none Jews! 1 Corinthians 9:20

Paul supposed to brag because Jesus gave him a weightier responsibility but the man was humble because he always go back to the Apostles in Jerusalem for instructions! Act 15:2; Galatians 2:1 compare to Act 21:13

Therefore let it be known that whoever disregards Paul has no business with Jesus Christ because that's the man Jesus appointed to lead gentiles to him!

MindHacker9009:
But why did Jesus not also direct his anger towards the Roman soldiers superiors who came and invaded his homeland, like he always did to his own people even the innocent tree he did not forgive:

In front of the Romans your Jesus is very gentle and remembers to forgive but in front of his own people he forgets about forgiveness:
Matthew 23:13: "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people's faces."
Matthew 23:33: "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?"
John 8:44: "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires."
Matthew 11:20-24: "Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent."
Matthew 27:24-25: During Jesus’ trial, when Pilate offers to release Him, the crowd (made up of Jewish individuals) shouts: "His blood is on us and on our children!"
Luke 19:41-44: "The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you... They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you."

Even the tree that had not sinned, he could not forgive:
Matthew 21:18-19: "Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, 'May you never bear fruit again!' Immediately the tree withered."
The fig tree is an illustration showing that the Jewish nation has not produced the expected fruit of faith so the curse was for the Jewish nation not a literal tree.
The Romans don't have God's laws so if they go contrary to it or disregard any prophet God sent they are doing so UNKNOWINGLY unlike the Jews in whose laws it's written:

I (GOD) will raise up for them (Israel) from the midst of their brothers a prophet like you, and I will put my words in his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him. Indeed, I will require an account from the man who will not listen to my words that he will speak in my name. Deuteronomy 18:18-19

Jesus is the only prophet who proved to be like a God in Israel just as Moses did {Exodus 7:1 compare to Isaiah 9:6} that's why the same Jesus was used to pronounce God's judgment on that nation! Matthew 21:43; 23:37-38

Westerhoffe:
GOD would not have used a mere innocent man, who should have been saved, and then condemned him to eternal damnation, thereby depriving him of salvation.
According to God's word a faithful servants of God may loose out completely if care is not taken.

“But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,” and “if he shrinks back, I have no pleasure in him.” Now we are not the sort who shrink back to destruction, but the sort who have faith for the preserving of our lives. Hebrews 10:38-39

Remember Judas was with the twelve when they performed miracles in Jesus name {Luke 9:1} he was also with Jesus when all other disciples abandoned Jesus {John 6:64-68} which means he was also faithful from the onset but because he did not remain strong in the faith that's why God was displeased with him!
