Granted blood transfusions appear to be safe now but I can tell you in 30 to 50 years from now, blood transfusions will be considered a major risk factor for some yet to be discovered diseases.

When God's word says in the last days deadly diseases will be spreading fast across the globe faithless people don't know something will trigger it and such a thing will seem like a lifesaver to them!🙂

You people know how to cherry pick passages. Post the whole chapter 15 and read it 10times to understand that the disciples were not speaking of blood transfusion but were preaching and converting unbelievers. So they were clarifying certain laws of Moses when it relates to sacrifice. It’s not good to be this easily controlled as a human being o. I agree with all the disciples said but in no way did they mean blood transfusion. They meant drinking blood which some people do in sacrifice. This is why even the Catholic Church has substituted drinking blood for wine because it is no longer mandated since Jesus died to eat the body and drink the blood. They were certainly talking about animal sacrifice because of the strangulation part. They will strangle the animal by cutting it in a way that it chokes on its own blood and then drain the blood to drink in sacrifice.

Even if you go for operation that doesn’t require blood transfusion you can still die. But the point is, do everything possible to save your life. The amount of negligence in blood transfusion is too little to reject it if it will save your life.

When talking about blood transfusion i (not someone else told me) faced a life threatening disease that almost took my life in the year 2002.
By then i was just studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses so i don't know much about their teachings but as for the blood transfusion thing i knew as they always carry a card in their possession that says "NO BLOOD"

During treatment the doctors told my mother that i need blood though i was only signalling with my head that i don't want it the nurse noticed and told my mom that it seems this man is objecting to a blood transfusion but my mom said:
"don't mind him, it's some stupid religious ideas, please do the needful"

After the transfusion my condition worsened and the doctors now asked my mom to take me to their headquarters in another state.

It was a herbalist who later saved me by giving me something like powder to swallow and drink water. He said this will drain all the blood that doesn't belong to his system. He told my mom that he can't commence treatment unless the external blood is removed from my body.

That day i urinated a lot but the urine was so thick and filled a big bucket then i turned into a skeleton that was when the herbalist commenced his own treatment which kept me alive till today.

So when i'm talking about blood transfusion it's not just what JWs or Bible said o it's what happened to me life and direct that is why i can defend it with my whole soul!🙂

Abstain from murder and sacrifice is not the same as blood transfusion. Since Jehovah Witness eat meat, they don’t abstain from blood so that argument is ridiculous. Red meat and even fish is full of blood.

You are becoming emotional instead of facing facts.
The Bible specifically says:

Keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you! Act 15:29

So several aspects of contacting deadly diseases is mentioned in the verse.

[1] Things sacrificed to idols because they are not hygienically prepared.

[2] Blood because it contains cells that makes up another person! Leviticus 17:14

[3] From strangled animals because the blood wasn't drained.

[4] Sexual immorality because of STDs.


Now we are talking about treatment that involves transfusing blood from one person to another.

Yes. For those who died at the hands of the Romans due to persecution. Not because their pastor said they should reject healing and die. They did not die for their faith in such circumstance. That is pure self unaliving.

I have a right to choose my type of treatment if it will save my life. That is a personal decision and should never be from compulsion or risk of exclusion by any group I belong to because I chose a treatment that will save my life. I can never belong to such anyway!

Blood transfusion doesn't save but kills because the blood from someone else will never ever work perfectly with your own body so when this new update came in it makes the scriptural guidance more logical because it's your own blood not that of someone else!🙂

Jesus never asked for control of anybody’s life. He understood that if the disciples were to follow him they would have to leave all earthly pleasures behind because their journey was to be one of sacrifice, healing, working for the poor and the sick and preaching to people to love one another. Jesus already died for our sins. At no point was it required for us to die under any disciple and their doctrine. Even those who died in defense of their faith did not do so at their own hands.
