Currently i'm studying the Bible with an older friend who said faith in God is stupidity!

How did it happen?

I simply asked him who discovered the water circle and he mentioned two names: Bernard Palissy in the year 1580 and Pierre Perrault in the 1600s.

So i told him it was Moses who wrote the Bible book of Job some 3,500 years ago.

He laughed at the top of his voice but later became silent and scared when i showed him what Moses penned down regarding water circle:

(God) draws up the drops of water; They condense into rain from his mist; Then the clouds pour it down; They shower down upon the earth. Job 36:27-28

From that moment he agreed to giving a study of God's word a second thought!🙂

Ignorant people with little knowledge of science do claim they are atheists those having indepth of knowledge in science are real believers in God.

So when you see adults claiming they are atheists wait until their own child gets deeper knowledge of science!🙂

So Peter never knew such a thing spread among disciples when it was him directly that Jesus spoke to?

Perhaps it was 98.c.e that John later realized that it has spread among the disciples.

i don't need pastors to answer simple questions, that's the problem with the cult/herd mentality that you operate in. The Bible is available in many translations and the Holy Spirit is given to believers to teach, amongst other things.

Php_4:3  And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Rev_3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

The above scriptures give an hint that people's names are in the book of life, and that names can be written or blotted out of the book. It appears to be the same book mentioned in God's conversation with Moses in the OT.
Exo_32:32  Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
Exo_32:33  And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

From the above, any reader can gather that the book of life is for overcomers, and people who sin against God will have their names blotted out(erased) of the book. Logically, if you want your name in, avoid sin, and live a life that overcomes.



Because i'm not an hypocrite like you, i don't pretend not to know your answers and opinions. You are taught that the book of life is for members of your sad denomination and that other denominations are not qualified.
The people whose names are in the book of life are the overcomers. Take a good look at Revelations, chapters 2 and 3 for guidance.
Rev_3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

The throne(s) referred to here are in Heaven. Do you plan to go there? No.

The Bible book of Revelation was given to apostle John by an angel that Jesus sent {Revelation 1:1} and as we know Jesus often use earthly things to make matters clear to us. John 3:12
From the time God regretted watching the bad things humans are doing to one another {Genesis 6:5-6} He designed some angels with eyes all over their bodies {Ezekiel 10:12} they are to continue looking at whatever humans are doing to themselves throughout the earth and reporting back to God. Genesis 18:20-21

So when God promised to send His Son as Counselor for obedient humans {Isaiah 9:6} God also foretold that the angels serving as eyes or CCTV for Him {2Chronicles 16:9} will start penning down the names of all those responding to the message Christ and his disciples will preach:

At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion, and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance was written before him for those fearing Jehovah and for those meditating on his name. Malachi 3:16

The highlighted in red is the same as the book of life {Revelation 20:15} only those found written in that book will be spared in the day of God's vengeance against evildoers!

Many who practice false religions will be written in that book because they don't know how to distinguish between true and false religions but they lived by their God's given conscience. Romans 2:14-15

But during Christ's millennium reign all those who have been discussing about righteoness with Christ's messengers will know what to do since they've been following the program whereas anyone who only lived by God's given conscience but never paid attention to the message true Christians are discussing with their neighbors will find it extremely difficult to cope during the thousand years reign of Christ as they will still be thinking it's their self righteousness {Isaiah 64:6} that will save them so they will die before the end of Christ's thousand years reign! Isaiah 65:20

This is why Jesus said:

it will be more endurable for the land of Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah on Judgment Day than for that city. Matthew 10:15

Which City?

That is the city where people living there never allowed Christ's true disciples to discuss with them.

Judgment day is not about what people did before they die rather it's about how they will live forever which only Christ's disciples can teach them.

So if anyone is not a Christian today he or she only have one problem:

Righteous people will be brought back to life in paradise unrighteous people will also be raised back to life in paradise {Act 24:15} the righteous are God's servants who has known and practiced His righteousness the unrighteous to be raised are people who don't know God's righteousness but lived by their own conscience God will not judge them since they don't know what they are doing it's only those who choose to be wicked deliberately that will never be remembered during the resurrection! Psalms 9:17

I'm happy you even used the word 'misconceptions', meaning you're aware that you have been wrong about many things. And you're still wrong about thousands of other things. The truth is that, the Chur h seeks knowledge as a body. And whatever knowledge the church has acquired and have been established as a general biblical doctrine, an isolated group that has a contrary opinion not biblically grounded is an heretic group. It's like science discovering atomic theory, then a splinter group of scientists somewhere remain in archaic beliefs regarding the same theory. Such a group is going to be relegated in the scheme of things.

You wait for decades or even centuries to discover what the church has already discovered and have moved on to higher things. You're false prophets as long as your doctrines have no biblical grounding.

John clearly said Jesus didn't say he was not going to die. I'm sure it wasn't John alone that knew that. Peter knew Jesus didn't say he'll not die. Several other disciples didn't hold that opinion that John won't die. A few who misunderstood were the ones who spread the rumor. The rumor was never stated in other gospels. It was not stated in Acts. It was not stated in any Epistle. Such an important prophecy of someone who'll live till Jesus comes would take prominent positions in the gospels, the Acts and the Epistles. Why didn't it take position? Because it was not believed to be true.

But, you're here wanting to force us to believe the contrary - that the belief was held generally by early Christians even when the Bible never said so. Even the spreading of rumors is not the same as the proliferation of belief. Rumors can spread without it being believed. And all John said was that the rumor was spread. He didn't say the church held to it as a belief.

The only people whose names can't be found in the book of life are arrogant people but as for humble people who are always seeking righteoness {Zephaniah 2:2-3 compare to Matthew 5:5} they don't have any problem because they will be found written in that book such ones may be practicing any religion now as that is where they are born {Romans 2:14-15} but they always welcome anyone speaking about the righteoness of God they will be found written in the book.

Resurrection on the other hand came not for everyone but only the righteous and unrighteous as for wicked people they have no share during the resurrection of the death! Psalms 9:17

What made you think nobody corrected it until the year 98AD? So, it's only the Book that can be used as a medium of correction? John himself didn't have the notion from onset. It was some brethren who thought so. The notion that John won't die only appeared in that John 21. It never resurfaced anywhere again in the whole Bible. It was not sustained. Just a momentary thing. While [b]John was wrong in 98 AD, he didn't say 'the belief was still being held till today'[/b]And if it were so, it's typical of John to mention that.

That's all i want you to confess publicly however the same thing still happens among true Christians (JWs) till today as some of our brothers do carry their misconception for decades making people like you to call us false prophets.
