But don't forget the Bible never says one modern organization has exclusive authority. Even apostles were corrected when they were wrong (Galatians 2:11), and we are told to test all teachings with Scripture (1 John 4:1).

I like the confidence you have saying what ever you feel its right, but the Bible also shows that leaders can be wrong and must be corrected (Galatians 2:11).
And we are told to test teachings, not just accept them (1 John 4:1).

So I believe any decision no matter who makes it must still agree with Scripture. That your claim “God is using them alone” That’s a very strong claim, don't forget the Bible doesn’t support one group having exclusive control over God’s truth.

God works through people everywhere not just one organization.
Jesus also warned us about following our leaders blindly
Matthew 15:9
“They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.”
👉 If leaders make decisions that contradict Scripture, they are not automatically backed by God.
And don't forget God’s Word is the final authority not just human leaders. 2 Timothy 3:16–17

Well, I wouldn't say they don't think, I have met good ones, they evangelize a lot, I believe it helps build depth in Bible and reasoning like other churches that evangelize. I am more concered about those who may have arrived at this on their own via "prayers and study" but dismissed or probably shunned before the governing body's pronouncement recently. I believe all religious bodies adjust their doctrines from time to time, so it's not JW specific. Just that this case involves life and they seem slow to adjust like the beard case.
