BusinessRe: How Is Cbn Cashless Policy Going To Affect Your Business? by mayblossom(f): 6:13am On Jan 12, 2012
@Leomax,
what matters is how much left ur acc in CASH,not how many times u split it.except if u giv ur frnds crossed check, dey pay into their acc & den wdr frm dere for u.BTW wot do u need so much cash for? Even if u want to pay ppl, collect dia acc nos nd wire d moni.
Again ppl,d limit of 300k daily is just for internet bnkn,if u wanna pay someone up to 1m,dere are oda options na:acc to acc, crossed cq,neft, nibbs, etc
naija ppl are good @ complainin.someone talkd of illiteracy.will gov also com to ur hous to teach u abt cashless society?dere's a lot of awareness bt nobody wants to read or listen.or ask question na,atleast dat one is free.
Cashless soc. will help curb corruption & embezlment cos once evry cash has to pass thru accounts,it'll be traceable.u know sanity has to start frm somwhere. It will also reduce robbery cos all man kno say nobody dey keep cash again.for internet fraud,at least dey go thru d stress of preparin, unlike cash stealin dat can hapn in a flash withoun any costly plan or strategy.embrace it ppl.it's for good.may be difficult initialy, but change always is. We'll enjoy it eventually.

TravelSpain Visa Appeal Process by mayblossom(op): 12:53pm On Nov 13, 2011
I applied for national visa (family reunionu) at the spanish embassy in lagos in june but was denied. I was given opportunity to appeal within a month. My husband had a lawyer write on my behalf and i hav signed and submitted the letter. For how long are we likely to wait before they respond. Again, while we're waiting, my police character certificate has expired, though it's been legalized.will they still use it (i believe my appeal will work) or do I need to make a fresh one ? Your responses will be highly appreciated.

Am loving this thread. I'm kind of curious about Spain but I'v not read anything about there. Wot's life there like? Job opportunities, etc. I'm hoping to join my hubby dere soon.

TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by mayblossom(f): 7:32pm On Oct 24, 2011
I really appreciate helpful responses ppl giv for other ppl's questions. I hope to get such too as i hav similar denial issue but from spanish embassy. My husb stays in spain and has gotn a resolution from there for us (myself & our newborn) to join him. I went to the embassy in lagos to submit the resolution letter and other documents.i was told the documents needed to be legalized (by them) b4 submission. I submited the letter and some of the documents i cud submit and collected the rest for legalization. They gave me 10 workin days to submit these remaining documents (after dey'v been legalized). To my greatest surprise,it took dem abt 3 months to legalize my marriag cert and our baby's birth cert. I collected dem and submitted to d visa section (after abt 3months) and was givn a date. I went on dat date, lo, i was denied on the grounds dat i didnt meet up to their 10days.but dey were d ones dat spent foreva, legalizing these documents. What are my chances of gettin d visa if i appeal? How do i go about it? This is really frustrating. Pls help.

FamilyRe: Marriage: Is It About Making Babies Or About The Couples? by mayblossom(f): 11:39am On Aug 29, 2010
God in His infinite wisdom created Eve for Adam cos He beheld the poor guy's loneliness.
I guess He would hav made babies immediately if it was a do or die affair, but He left the decision for the couple to make.
What if one gt married and the babies dont come? what if they came and died later?(not our prayers though).will the marriage be nullified?
i feel the poster is not underestimating the importance of kids in the home, he is just puting it as number 2 in the list of priorities, number one remains love, companionship and friendship. boy/girlfriend cannot provide u with such companionship that marriage can.one may change them as often as possible, but once married, ppl want to stick to their soulmate, they learn to forgive and move on instead of changing bedmates like wrapper. POSTER I SUPPORT YOUR VIEW 100%. PPL SAY ITS WESTERN COS THEY HAVE A PHOBIA FOR CHANGE. lol

RomanceRe: Why Do Ladies Like The Front Sit Of A Car by mayblossom(f): 7:58pm On Jul 16, 2010
This is a very sensitive issue to the females. If you are a friend of the guy and you wish to hitch a ride in his car and continue to enjoy all the accoutrements of friendship including warm/friendly reception by mrs or gf, stay away from that front sit-there is a governing written rule called etiquette. Let her be the one to volunteer it.

Some ladies feel genuinely insulted. If you dont want to be at the recieving end, humbly take the back seat and pretend to like it even if you dont. Or else, get your own car.

FamilyRe: What Are Your Thoughts On Marriage With A Big Gap In Age? by mayblossom(f): 9:36pm On Jul 13, 2010
there's a diff b/w age gap & generation gap
age gap=numbers which to me does not matter
generation gap=mentality(matters a lot)
if u guys have almost the same view on certain things its ok cos the age gap will not affect decision making in the home
but if ur views are modern, young and of ur age & generation, while his are mostly old fashioned and archaic, then u shd watch it, there's serious generation gap.
my parents are like 15yrs diff and i've neva seen such love like d one dey hav(till popsy died in '08)
i'll be getting maried in a month tym and we're exactly 10 yrs diff(have always been my ideal spec)
good luck girl and dont allow frnds & family to decide for u
marriage is filled with more decisions to be made in the home which those frnd & family will not be there to make for u
enjoy smiley

CultureRe: Cultural Myths From Around Nigeria by mayblossom(f): 7:52pm On Jan 19, 2010
somewhere in anambra you don't kill python. if u do, u bury and mourn it like a human being
again u dont sweep at night, if you do, you're sweeping away your wealth
again if you mistakenly wear the back of you cloth, money is coming your way that day
or if your palm itches you seriously, money is coming your way too
if you hit your left feet against a stone, something bad is about to, or has already happened
if your eyes are itching you in an unusual manner, you're about to see some secret
you shudn't shout ppl's names at night. if you do, spirits will copy the name
a prayingmantis in your house signifies that a visitor from far is coming to visit you
if you sneeze,it means someone is calling your name somewhere
the last and the funniest somewhat,
if someone is sitting on the floor with legs outstretched, you shudnt jump past the legs,if you do, the act must be reversed by jumping back or else the person whose legs you jumped/crossed over will not grow tall further (such a lie)
ndi igbo kwenu!!!!!!!!

While growing up, we were told that India was the best country in EVERY sport, and that they're so good that they were banned from the Olympics and the World Cup.

Anybody heard that myth?
i heard o. especially football, that the goalkeper of their opponent will see the ball as a lion or snake and will not catch the ball.
the consequence being a goal in favour of india, kids and gist huh huh huh

@ poster,
a marriage of less than 2 months and you're already talking of divorce as a solution to your first marital storm huh huh huh
the enemy has come to steal,to kill & to destroy, dont allow it
take this to God in prayers
confront her thereafter,i believ dialogue is the best therapy to relatioship storms such as this besides its time to BE A MAN
from your posts, i deduce you want to CATCH her red handed thats why you don't want to ask her abt the fone
thats why you choose to bring it out in front of her to her amazement.that maybe childish
CONFRONT HER.LET HER DENY IT (as expected)
give yourself time to heal
if she's a player, it's only a matter of time, but dont dwell on it or snoop around, you'll hurt more
God's grace cool

If this is true then it is a welcome development and will help Nigeria in the area of stashing looted funds outside.

They should extend this to include the following

All governors whether current or past

All ministers whether current or past

All law makers whether current or past

All members of the executive council whether current or past

Areas covered should include medical treatment or check up, education and vacation.
infact, every political office holder, past, present & aspiring
maybe they'll wake up & develop nigeria to standard so they won't have to travel for every little thing
i can bet u some of them even run to the u.s to get a haircut as if we dont have barbershops here grin grin grin

PoliticsRe: Sanusi And The Sacked Bankers by mayblossom(f): 10:03pm On Dec 28, 2009
You want all the loan department staffs of the banks affected to be sacked and the positions left taken up by the middle and low cadre? Wonderful!

The over bloated salaries of bankers were not in order and today order is being restored and in the long run the banking industry will be better, salaries will be realistic, banks will be more proactive in generating legitimate money instead of falsifying accounts and they will not need to turn our young women into professional love-peddlers to meet unreliable targets.

Water will find its level with time and the time has come for the banking industry to be sanitized.

Ever wondered why a genuine trader cannot access N50,000.00 loan due to the very difficult conditions whereas another person can access N2,000,000,000.00 without collateral just because he knows the bank CEO and the funds are usually wasted and the bank in turn claims the loan is a bad loan?

What Sanusi is doing today is ok and is actually saving a lot of jobs that would have just disappeared in a few years when the effects of the lies and falsification of accounts would have gone full circle.

Meanwhile, the disengaged workers I understand where not sacked but advised to resign and I believe they were adequately compensated. I doubt if any bank would just sack someone without a good reason. Sack and resignation (whether cajoled, induced or advised) are not the same thing. The disengaged bankers can use the money paid to them to start a new life.

John 1:1---In the begining was the word, and the word was with God,and the word was God
John 1:14---The word was made flesh and dwelt among us
This is what we refer to as a mystery of the Holy Trinity
God the Father,Son & Spirit
Abuzola calls it confusion

Abuzola,
Even if Christians are confused, they are not complaining
why not focus your energy on making heaven and seeing Allah face to face
maybe then you'll find out if Jesus is a prophet or a teacher or a Farmer grin

FamilyRe: Does Age Affect Happiness In Marriage (Matrimonial Bliss)? by mayblossom(f): 8:11pm On Nov 13, 2009
Unless the person is mentally retarded, I doubt a 48 year old would have the maturity of a 10 year old or vice versa.
there's something called hyperbole, exaggeration. that was only used to drive home the point that maturity doesn't always have to do with age
and i quite agree with that. a lot of factors count: exposure, etc.

whatever the age i think the gap shouldn't be so much.not more than 10 yrs. they both have to reason alike, like ppl from the same century
