I so support this suit. Police and these employers should always be sued for unfair treatment. Things needs to be done right in Nigeria!

Travel › Re: South Africa: No Compensation For Deported Nigerians by Mayflowa(m): 2:06pm On Mar 16, 2012
Best way to compensate them is to drag the Government to court. They will certainly because the Govt of South Africa had said they did the wrong thing and apologised, That is the only evident u need to win compensation.

They are only trying to talk tough because their citizens are angry with their apology to Nigeria Govt added to the fact that They shouldnt stoop low for other country not to be call weak. They are ready to pay thru court pronouncement not by willy-nilly

I know they will fold up soon. Recently, I and three other were frustrated when the one white airline supervisor told his checking staff to close down in our present because the flight was 1.30hr to take off even when we were on queue. I was like %&^£$%.
I have to pay N147,000 like the other because our ticket were not changeable ,to rebook the next day. I slept in the airport that cold night. You know what... not more than 25passengers weere on board on Friday! All their customers have been ill-treated! I hate them myself! I would never take Arik in my life!

Nigerians! Sanusi is a big time public figure! Such people usually make headline when seen in an uncompromising positions like this! So we may well know who he is with. He is CBN governor for God's sake. He can't afford to cheat on his wife even celebrity caught cheating find life difficult( ask Tiger), let alone the one with all our trust and money!

Education › Re: Salary For A Graduate Assistant In A Federal Polytechnic by Mayflowa(m): 2:01pm On Mar 11, 2012
For Federal University, the salary grade is from CONUASS 1 to 7. 1 being Graduate Assistant and 7 being Professor. A Graduate Assistant is entitled to N57,000/month basic salary. There are other allowances that can get it to N80k-N90k/month. Professors earn 400k-450k/month.

It takes up to 23yrs to move to professorship position for a regularly promoted lecturer which is a minimum of three years and if your Head of Department is notjealous. But you need to write scholarly papers locally and internationally published. you can't go pass the Senior Lecturer position( CONUASS 5) if you dont have a PhD especially now. In Nigeria universities, people have been known to do a PhD for 10yrs!

Polytechnics lecturers are started with 75-80k/month.

If you ever get into academics, change lives and your life will be changed! There are pleasure to be derived from building lives than monetary gains. It does come anyway! Goodluck in your endeavour.
Christianity Etc › Re: Bomb Blast In Jos: St Finbarrs Catholic Church, Rayfield! by Mayflowa(m): 1:37pm On Mar 11, 2012
This is so sad! Our security can never help this. Nigeria is not mature for this. No African country is! We are destroying our own. This same event took 2 millions souls in Sudan before they finally divided between south and north.

Nigeria government should put pride away and make this decision real fast to save we that are still living. We deserve to live in disunity that die in unity. sad sad cry cry
Culture › Re: Is This List True About Igbo Traditional Marriage by Mayflowa(m): 10:07pm On Mar 10, 2012
I actually thought the eastern and akwa ibon part of Nigeria were only guity of this. Later, I realise that this thing happen in many country of the world.

e.g, In China, young men cannot even talk about marriage because they need to have a house, car and in fact be rich before that can ask any hand for marriage.

In Iran, the ladies are married off as virgins. Very terrible offense to do the do before marrying and the man sign a court agreement worth over N30M to be
given the woman if he ever divorces her.

In india, women pay for men according to the man's education. Most times, the girl mother go look for a husband for her daughter.

So these are just custom and culture but we must know culture is dynamic. We should free those that make life harder for humans to be happy.

Chaircover from family section;  She is very rational, tolerant and understands the family thingy
Ink_nerd : OMG! she has been cracking meup recently. Very humorous, independent and intelligent chick. I like her really.

Romance › Re: When Your Wife Pushes You Too Far,a Slap Or 2 Could Be Justified by Mayflowa(m): 4:22am On Mar 06, 2012
To a large extent, I am absolute gentleman but I do realise beating some ladies can keep them sane at times. My friend's girlfriend, who is now is lovely wife, started behaving well after she received a hot lefty slap fom my simple friend. She got the deserving slap in an attempt to cheat to his face. She thought she was in control of my friend.

Human psychology have never associated emotional love with kindness. people hardly love those who treat them nice. They just click to those who sorta disrespect and care less about them witout knowing why. A little anger here and there could tight up the relationship. hahaha. That is why bad guys rule mehnnnn

In all honesty london has to be the best place for study e.t.c the lot.

You can get a job that will pay £7 minimum (i'd advise people to find office jobs) at least one has his/her foot through the door if you decide to stay.
You can use the money you make monthly or your upkeep and use your savings for rent emergencies e.t.c

networking definitely! student unions study groups volunteering everything. Plus for me it was great experience. (Don't network with naija people thats frolicking grin grin) get to know different people from different backgrounds. You can get a job, even if it's telesales or charity fundraising. Most of those ones pay £7- £8 an hour.

I'm always dissapointed when Nigerians decide to flock towards security or care work, opportunities are everywhere, you just have to be at the right place at the right time.
So sad

I like the monopoly part.
Every person has got nuisance value. Send ripping MTN off. They have more to lose. I hate it when foreigners are unfair to Nigerians. Nigeria is the most accommodating country. We are even more receptive to foreigners than ourselves. Whereas, other countries dish us blows. I blame Nigeria for not able to tranform their fortune!

Education › Re: U.s. Student Wants To Do Study Abroad In Nigeria ! by Mayflowa(m): 11:16am On Mar 05, 2012
@Moremi2008. Your advice was on point when you asked the op to either seek the help of the African laguage and History professors in the US( There are a lot of them in Ohio State University ) or find a friend to go meet the lecturer at home university. I am quite definite she would get a space

However, u are not correct if you think Nigeria University do not have partners for exchange programme abroad. I know this because I am a lecturer. There are provisions for these in most universities. Students don't just  take advantage partly because of finance and partly because of ignorance.

Recently, Delta state university, Uniport and Uniben have signed several partnership with Universities abroad for exchange. And these programmeS abound in unilag. Provisions roare laid down for it. Pay for it and u will get it. It's far easier to get into Nigeria school system than the reverse.

Again, unilag is a good school for dance. The Op may want to learn worldwide dances including Nigerian. So bad people just kill their country. Indian is worst than Nigeria o. Our one big problem is power!
