Gabon is in Central Africa, is it not? Ibos root is in Central Africa, right? So what is news if an Iboman is President of Gabon? Obama is Kenyan by root but he is not President of Kenya. I dont understand how little insignificant things is taken to high proportions by these small d1ck people. |
Sincere9gerian:Tejuosho market was an eyesore until the govt stepped in and constructed a market complex with parking facility. Tejuosho was all Yorubas back then and they cooperated and accepted what govt planned to do. After the complex opened they moved back in. Tejuosho is not the only market that has gone through remodelling but is a classic example. This hateful reaction and obstruction againt plans to tear down and redevelop Ladipo market is uncalled for. Ibos are not the first to experience this in Lagos. The government is saddled with responsibility for public order and planning. They are doing their job. Why is it everytime Lagos State embarks on improvement projects and environmental upgrade Ibos get on public air with resentment and hate, can you explain this? |
Buchukwu:Dont turn around and label her a backstabber when delivers your secrets to us o! . |
I thought Diezani went very early one morning, in company of Marilyn Ogar, both dressed like Hajiya in purdah seeking Abdulsalami's help to intercede with Buhari. Did Salami not secure some relief? What the heck! It is an act of corruption to ban Nairalanders. Mods watch yaself! ![]() |
Shymm3x:Everytime we do so traditional rulers jump in and mediate for peace. As you know, Yorubas respect the throne and dismissing a monarch's intervention will be the last thing we would do. |
aresa:Aresa, I understand the article was penned by an Iboman. His summary is self-evident in the landscape. Benue has lost more lives to Fulani than they have to bokoharam, same in Plateu State, Nassarawa, Niger. Na only Fulani waka come? What is more frustrating is where do we even place them....their nationality is very fluid. I am Yoruba first before I am APC. My allegiance to Yoruba is a stronger and permanent bond, APC is only a vehicle for my engagement in partisan politics and so on issues that hurts my people, I dont care about Buhari or APC. To be blunt, I hear comments about Falae's abduction being a national issue, no it's not....it's a internal issue for Yorubas to resolve and FG should not be drawn into it. |
Shymm3x:Amen, Duke. ![]() |
OfoIgbo:Yorubas have had numerous squirmishes with Fulani. I dont remember when we ever called on any other for support. I dont know why this should be a rally for Southerners at a point when we are smarting for a chanced opportunity to demarcate permanently the true borderlines of Yorubaland and uproot all flags belonging to Nigeria. |
SovietBomber:There is a reason he led a delegation to Governor of Oyo State, Lam Adesina. The instance was a declaration by Agbekoya to completely wipe out Fulani herdsmen, first in Oyo, and then outwardly in other lands in the Yoruba Commonwealth. Adesina made him and his crew looked foolish. Olubadan intervened and got Agbekoya to back down. Agbekoya is a cooperative of farmers in Yorubaland....sort of a indigenous labour union for farmers. They are more lethal than Afenifere. Add to that, when OPC went to work and started killing Fulanis in different states in Yorubaland, instead of retaliating in the contingent Yorubaland, they ambushed and almost wiped out a Yoruba village in Kwara. In response OPC went up there in Kwara and annihilated two Fulani villages....not a single soul was left alive, from the oldest to the infant nursing on its mother's n1pples. They herded their cattles down south to Ibadan as spoils. Emir of Ilorin interceeded on that occassion. Afenifere has issued a directive....and Im certain Agbekoya and OPC have been notified. Afenifere has issued notice to the traditional rulers as well to guard their domain. Yorubas are upset, Fulani is about to get a whipping....this could very well lead to what would become of Ilorin throne and its bloodline. Fulani would first be endangered before we the owners of the land become endangered on our own soil. The line is drawn! |
amsad19:I would like to focus your attention on the topic of this thread. Forget everything else. In reference to your attempt at legitimizing Fulani's carnage in Yorubaland....you will be given plenty cause for that, trust me. You have one more chance to shed blood in Yorubaland, at this point it doesn't even have to be a Yoruba blood....any blood! |
In my own observation I have concluded that the herdsmen do not go go about ordinarily attacking their victims with just physical hardwares. I believe in fact that the gun and the dagger are later brought in to inflict physical harm after first immobilising or overcoming their opponent with nonphysical spells that disarm and paralyse their neurons. How does a pack of no more than 8 Fulanis invade and finish off a village of over 300 people... There has to be other spellbinding powers they are employing to subdue their opponent from a close proximity before coming within striking distance to strike a blow or stab or shoot to kill. Whatever charm they are using necessitates human sacrifice and blood. This is why they must continually kill in order for the demonic power to sustain their dominating force and monopoly over farm resources belonging to others. If any people know what to do to counter that demon it will be Yorubas. |
sunnyb0b0:How so, do you care to share? |

THE war, when it begins, will be like all wars, senseless, destructive and lamentable. No one knows when and where it will begin, but it will begin as a convulsive reprisal for a massacre by Fulani herdsmen, a phenomenon that has now assumed all but a common occurrence in Nigeria. The scale and frequency of massacres by Fulani herdsmen with not a single prosecution is the clearest evidence of what is known as impunity. Impunity is the reason the coming war is inescapable. What can Nigeria be without the Fulanis? They are royalty. Among them are some of the most respected Nigerians, wise, reasonable, kind people. They control the Sokoto Caliphate or all that is left of that awesome empire. They exercise power at the Federal level over and beyond any other ethnic group in Nigeria. Indeed they are the architects of the Northern hegemony which they elevated to an ideology, a most potent instrument to hold on to power since Independence. As the greatest beneficiaries of the Fulani Jihad it is not impossible that in their moments of hubris, the hegemonists among them might still nurse the ambition of the Caliph of dipping the Koran in the sea. The classic Fulani herdsmen that we all know walk along their herd with a staff, not AK47s. The enormity of the carnage looking into the Fulani herdsmen file is revolting: On the 7th day of March 2010, Fulani herdsmen killed over 500 people in Jos, Plateau State. This report is a tie-back to the current wave of killings on May 14, 2013 when the BBC reported that Fulani herdsmen have killed 53 in North Central Nigeria. A few weeks later, the Nigerian Village Square Forum reports in a rather alarming tone “Tivs at Extinction Point: Fulani commence a killing spree.” That was on June 5, 2013. On 8th of July 2013, it is reported that Fulani Herdsmen have killed 34 people in Benue State. Then on 26th November 2013 Jihadwatch reports that “Islamic Extremists kill at least 71 Christians in Nigeria…assailants were believed to be Muslim Fulani herdsmen.” On 24th March 2014 Fulani herdsmen reportedly killed 36 people in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State A week later Fulani herdsmen were involved in sacking 33 villages, killing at least 19 people. A mention was made of a ‘Sultan Committee.’ On 7th May 2014, Fulani herdsmen killed 25 people and sacked six villages in Benue State. This was followed by the killing of 25 more people at Guma Local Government Area in Benue State. A month earlier, Human Rights Watch reported on 15th April 2014 that hundreds have been killed since December in North Central region and that an operation aimed at restoring peace is going on in Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau States. On 11th February 2015 Fulani herdsmen were reported to have killed 30 persons in Benue State. On 11th March Fulani herdsmen did not spare the Tor Tiv’s palace even as they killed 11 persons. They killed 90 more on 16th March 2015 in a Benue village. On 12th April additional 12 persons, including children, were killed in Benue State. On 26th May 2015 more than 23 persons were killed in Benue State. Indeed, on 15th August 2015, the Benuenews.com.ng, a blog reported that between January and July 761 people have lost their lives to Fulani herdsmen. The above incidents, taken from published reports, are but a sliver of these atrocities which have occurred in many other states in the Southern regions. In none of these instances was any of the perpetrators arrested, much less charged, tried or punished. So, the Fulani herdsmen operate as if they are licensed to kill. Then last week, the Fulani herdsmen grabbed a big fish in the person of Chief Olu Falae, 77, a former secretary to the Federal Government, a former presidential candidate, and an acknowledged leader of the Yoruba race. He has had troubles from the herdsmen in the past but last week they actually kidnapped him, mistreated him for days and forced his relations to pay them N5 million ransom. So, the Afenifere group, the Yoruba socio-cultural group, had to hold an emergency meeting after which they declared that “nomadic cattle rearing should be stopped in every state of Yoruba land.” Afenifere reaffirmed the Golden Rule, which re-echoes what most Nigerians have always felt about the provocations of the Fulani herdsmen. “Yoruba people go to any part of the country to trade, and there is no history or record anywhere the Yorubas destroy the business of their hosts. What we cannot do to others, nobody should do it to us.”They recalled the incident in the “year 2000 in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State, the Fulani herdsmen and farmers had a major clash which led a strong delegation from Arewa Consultative Forum (Hausa-Fulani socio-political group) to storm the office of the then Governor Lam Adesina in a rowdy and angry manner on behalf of the Fulani.” President Muhammadu Buhari was the leader of that angry delegation 15 years ago, and all eyes are watching, and all ears are listening. He can avert the coming war or he can fan it by pretending not to know that the herdsmen have created enough provocation that could lead to a major social upheaval. Shrill cries and wailings rent the air yesterday at the popular Ladipo automobile market in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, as traders watched helplessly when bulldozers demolished their shops to pave way for remodelling of the market. Area boys helped themselves to the wares and goods of the traders. Tension started building up in the market in June following the disagreement between the traders and the council over the demolition of the market, and its remodelling. Based on the protest, Ttracing the genesis of the crisis, the market leader said, the problem started with the Mushin Local Government that wanted to remodel the market by demolishing it, without carrying the traders along and also to give them enough notice to remove their goods. The leader of the traders’ association, Mr. Kingsley Ikechukwu Ogunor, had told Saturday Sun last July, how they were coerced into signing eviction notice by the authorities of Mushin council and the developer. But Mushin council denied it. Based on the protest, the demolition that had started in July, was stopped. However, events took a sour note yesterday when bulldozers ran over the market. Saturday Sun findings revealed that a group, Igbo Consciousness in APC had tricked Mr. Ogunor into signing an undertaking that the remodelling of the market should start by October 1, and by then the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the developers would have been signed. Few days after the leader of the traders signed the undertaking, the developer was said to have travelled outside the country without sealing the MoU as agreed, only to return on September 30, for demolition to commence the following day. Commenting on this latest development, Ogunor said the developer was acting in line with the agreement they reached. According to him, they agreed that demolition would begin by October 1, and each stall, after completion, will be leased for N20 million for 10 years period. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/looting-spree-as-ladipo-market-is-demolished/ |
You guyz...please leave people wives alone. Go get your girl, they are plenty out there, they far outnumber men and are looking for proposals. Go get yours...please! Seun, Lalastic-lalastico, Ishilove, abeg make una help me beg these cowards that are scared to talk to women but always denegrating and disrespecting other men's wives to go and find their own t0t0. There are plenty single girls around. |
sunnyb0b0:Sunnyb0b0, That address was to people in Plateau back in July. ElRufai know better than to give such response to Afenifere's stance on Fulani. |
I scalped the internet looking for Ohanaeze's ultimatum with warning demanding immediate apology and release of this Ibo daughter, I could.not find one. Until i sre an ultimatum from Ohanaeze Im not believing Diezani is arrested. |
TonyeBarcanista:That response is targeted at the claim that Bible was originally written in Hebrew. I will not disagree with you, on the topic itself of returning Ajami to the Naira or other national emblems of unity, I will ask MURIC if there is anywhere beside core North, that Ajami is still in use as a modal for literature. If it's use is confined to a section, then its removal from national symbols is justified. |
TonyeBarcanista:adding that after all English is the language of the Bible as it is known in Nigeria |
Why is Ekweremadu jittery? |
Who the cap fits, let them wear it! Odinkalu is Ibo...Yorubas have already hit the streets demanding Ibo to respect our land and our culture or get the hell out and back to East. So when this call came asking Fulani herdsmen to be restricted access, naturally, by extention, it speaks somewhat to Ibos. Therefor Odinkalu is scared of the day Afenifere will tell Ibo to go home. This is self-preservatiin on Odinkalu's part and has nothing to do with his empathy for Fulani, which is zero! |
tonychristopher:Kabba is in the Yoruba Commonwealth. We can never ever deny our brothers and sisters, for good or bad. |
The articles is written... By Ochereome Nnanna What else can we expect it to be? Instead of concentrating on actualizing biafra, Ibos, in their bitternes want to divide the country. |
Once PDP, always PDP... ![]() Old habits dont die overnight. Beside, he was not a Buhari appointee. The old MD was fired with instruction to hand over to the most senior civil servant in the agency. Thats how Jauro got there. |
Happy Sovereing Day to Nigeria!! Hip Hip Hip, Hoorraayyyy!!! ![]()

TonyeBarcanista:You always amaze me with your half baked analysis. The six zonal regions are creation of PDP to redistrict the country and entrench itself. Has APC given you any guarantees on its own vision for redistricting, who is to say we will have six regions in 2019? |
Does he go everywhere with this woman? |
LastSurvivor:Mumu, There is nowhere in the world partisan politics is sweet and harmonious. In US partisan politics has ruined careers of brilliant politicians. Till today, Bill Clinton is still suffering from assaults that targeted his personal life and got him almost impeached. He remains bitter till today and has never forgiven those who roped Monica Lewinsky around his neck. |
@Post Of course...we are practicing partisan politics, that should be expected. In competition sports, you cant wear the opponents jersey to my stadium and expect to get a vip treatment in the box...hell NO! You want me to host and sit you next next to Captains of big business and corporate conglomerates you wear my team's jersey, right? They don't want wahala....they better stay far away from compromised leaders. Saraki's integrity has been compromised. |
