It is obvious that pursuing two animals at a time will live you with none. Your situation should serve as a guide to babes who do not keep to one guy at a time. Meet these payers with some 'dough' and reverse will be the case. |
The answer to this is simply, One Man's Meat is another Man's poison. But in all sincerity, Rhythmn is ahead in terms of news coverage( includes breaking news, talk shows etc.) Talk of their oldies, the slow moves bw 10 am and 12noon; they are GOOD! |
I hopr your requests is not for u to answer a classwork puzzle? But in terms of human rights, Nigeria has a long way to go. While there are some improvements in the area of social justice, human rights as it affects nation building will require an all inclusive adherence to beliefs that guarantees the sanctity of life. |
Are u the one applying? |
Nite Angel, I share your views. But are you saying such does not exist? Sincerely it does. Personally, I consider some of these cultures as outdated. However, the question we should be asking our selves is, whether such practices like this thread has exposed, is worth it. But don't u think that there are various ways a woman could show respect for the husband; and not calling him by his name might just be one of such ways? |
Iyke-D, I didn't say Ribadu is not trying per se. My concern is the way the man conducts the biz of the Agency. In our constitution someone is assumed innocent of a crime until found guilty by a competent court of jurisdiction. I think, if there is any alleged corruption by any individual, the EFCC should conduct a thorough investigation. And with facts available to it, ask the courts to do the rest. In a situation where the EFCC is the investigator, the prosecutor and the juror leaves much to be desired. It is also wrong to try people on the pages of newspapers. Notwithstanding, the war has started, and we must achieve results. |
As far as Ribadu is concerned, he only owe his allegiances to the Presidency. But it shouldn't be so. If by public demand, he is asked to declare his assets, so be it. He has no right to ask others to declare their assets while he cannot do the same. There is this maxim, which says, we' lead by example. To me, Ribadu has become a noise maker who is out to disgrace others unjustifiably because he considers himself invincible, at least, for now. |
When the going was good between Atiku and Baba Iyabo, Atiku was not corrupt. Now that they are "two poles apart", he is now the most corrupt person in Nigeria. You see, there is need to call a spade a spade. There is no clean leader in Ngeria. They are all corrupt. It's even worse during the military era. For OBJ to single Atiku out for persecution over corruption smacks of vindictiveness over certain political disagreements. Let us leave Atiku alone. |
I believe that the EFCC is currently having credibility crisis. The involvement of the Presidency in almost every activity of the EFCC has further dampened our expectations. We all want corruption to be tackled head-on, but the modus operandi of the Agency empowered to carry out this very important task should be seen to be transparent and devoid of partiality. In other words, it should not be seen as a body that is out to do the scripts of the Presidency. The 'rumoured' investigation of the Master(President Obasanjo) is nothing but a smokescreen. We should expect nothing meaninful from such wasteful adventure. While I personally applaud the EFCC in some of its bold moves, the Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu should be advised to control his outbursts/utterances. His unguarded statements in various fora have largely earned him the title of a talkative and someone who acts on fantasies. |

soulpatrol, This is the damn culture where I live. Although those who are "exposed" are trying to stop it by embracing the western style, this habit still holds sway. Don't u think they should be allowed to practice their culture? |

Seun, Your topics do pull crowd. Taking a babe out entails a lot of approach. The most important is, good appearance and your ability to impress the blonde. But the overriding influence is 'kush' (money). |
Taking nowadays churches into consideration, how can we harmonize the scripture's stance on the easiness of the head of a camel entering the eye of a needle than a reach man entering the kingdom of God. Can a wealthy man enter the kingdom of God? Let us examine this. |
Should I say that poverty or cost of living has affected a lot of people's mindset. To me, having enough babies is not a crime. One thing is fundamental here. If our parents were to have just one or two babies, some of us wouldn't be enjoying our present lives. I believe what we should be concerned about is how God can bless us to raise a good family irrespective of the size. However, a bloated family size co-rellates with hardship.. |
Soulpatrol, there is nothing like boredom here. This particular topic once generated what i would call 'heated debate' sometimes ago. You may not really understand its import. But any core african woman would not want to call the husband by name save for western influence these days |
Wetin i wan use their hansomeness do?? Every guy is unique in his own ways. And by perception, what is good in thy sight may not be good in mine. Do u undersand? |
Man-eater, Your analysis of men's thorough. However, i fit into description "4" but not hooked. How about that ![]() |
Seun, Thanks for the tips. Some of us in the corporate world are tired of sacrificing a whole day for peanuts that could hardly take care of one's needs. One would really love to be on his own. But the financial constraints will always be there to contend with. Is there anywhere we can secure cheap funds to start a biz? I like to know pls. |
Haba! what is so personal about it. Don't forget, this is an open forum. I advise u say it to enable others gain from same. As for olaak1, try and treat this disease. I have heard a lot of people said that the disease can lead to blindness if adequate treatment is not given the patient |
Bobbye has clearly answered this question. It is both spiritually and morally wrong. It is the same as having sex in a dream. It also reduces one sexual ability and performance. The sincere advice is STOP IT! |
diyobdw, my response to this thread tends to tilt to what everyone here has posted so far. But we all know this african mentality or what have you exists. As for me, I would like to be called 'simply' Mcdoe. But don't forget that the environment also influences some of these things we do. |
Celemel, Thanks for your advise on the use of English in this forum. What we are doing here is very formal. Therefore, we should endeavour to be guided by certain rules which tend to enhance our use of English by eliminating obvious flaws. |
Angel O, First, Thanks for this useful info. We just hope that when the time comes, you will still do the "forum crying". That is, informing N'landers as early as possible. Bye |
If I have enough "kush" I would be down with my wife staying at home and en-joyyy. The sole reason for people allowing their wives to work is to assist in the upkeep of the home. So it depends largely on your ability to shoulder the home's responsibilities. |
Calling the husband by name is often considered as lack of respect by the wife. In a situation where the couple is without a child, they usually adopt this idea of calling the hussy, names such as dear, love etc. But as soon as there is a child, such child's name is usually used, such as papa so so so, This is what informed the thread. |
What is your opinion? Should wives call their hussies by their names considering our African background? I think calling the name just like that smacks of disrespect. |
Pls reserve mine. I 'll pick it up via seun's office. Enjoy ur valday |
j-girl, don't u think giving is better than receiving? |
Just one reason. Because we rule the world! |
