Please run to Express entry thread. Your age and qualifications are big advantages just smash your ielts and have more than 3 years work experience to score higher. Good luck
@harley4 this is another option. Your profile is good enough for Express entry route.

Hello everyone, please I need your assistance.
Age 29
Qualification:
M.Sc. Chemistry (Biochemistry)
B.Sc. Biochemistry
Married with 2 kids
I’ve intension to further my career in Canada. Please can someone advise me on the cheapest university which I can apply for Ph.D., preferably in Ontario and other general ideas on how to start the process. I will really appreciate your response.
Almost all PhD program comes with full funding, so try to search for schools offering your intended research interest in your preferred province then contact them to see if they have a place for you.
I can't give you names right now, but Google search will go a long way in helping your case.
Good luck

Extra weight is 60 USD. Extra luggage is 85000 naira. Since I don't have extra luggage, I will be paying only 60 USD.

The bag on top is my carry-on/hand luggage. I don't know if that is weighed though, because it is more than 7kg.
They don't really weigh the carry-on luggage, but make sure no foodstuff is inside.

One is 22kg the other is about 8kg
Try to add 1kg to the 22kg bag. Also check the airline site to see how much to have to pay for extra luggage (just to be sure how much you will pay)

Thanks for the long message. These are my luggages. The biggest one is 31kg. I know I am going to pay about 60 USD for that.
What of the other bags? I means their weight

100k x 12 = 1.2M (approx 3800CAD)

When I converted the 15M it was around 48k CAD (could be less or more cause of exchange).
The POF is okay, considering flight and some extra costs will be covered too.

If you sign the agreement with your employer, it's a really beautiful home tie. But I think his refusal to show his bank statement will be a problem. The VO needs to know he can actually pay for the second year's tuition.

I'm sure the gurus in the house can shed more light.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES
An employer that can't show his SOA but promises to pay tuition fee for second year won't fly at all. I will advise they pay first year tuition (since the applicant will sign a bond that he will work for them for 5 years after graduation).

At the bolded, the company has agreed to pay the tuition for the second year. I spoke with the director and requested for the company’s account statement but he refused. He however said he can only issue me a letter to buttress that they’re going to pay my tuition for the second year.
This letter he said he will address to the embassy after I sign a bond an have it notarized that I’d work for the company for a minimum of 5 years after my studies when I return in order for them to recoup the investment.

I tire for the matter
If you must sign the bond, let them pay your first year tuition then, them saying they will pay second year without showing any commitment might not fly(not like the company has any past relationship with the Canadian government).

I can’t get a sponsor now.

What if I get a scholarship for my program (say 50% of the tuition), can this fly?
If you get funding to cover 50% of your fees then you have to show the other 50% from your side, if you can do that then you are good to go

Thanks very much.
I currently have a savings of 15m naira and I will be paid part of my monthly salary (100k) during my studies and will I’ve the balance when I return. Can this suffice?
You have to do the math. Do you think the salary paid by your company while you are studying will cover for the second year of your program? If yes, then show proof of that and you are good to go.
N.B: The proof will be letter from your company saying you are on study leave with pay and you intend to come back after studies to continue with them

Happy holidays everyone!

Please help answer my inquiry.

My program costs $44,500 CAD for 2 years (MSc.) and I’m self sponsoring.

While showing proof of funds, can I submit my bank statement with a balance of tuition fees for 1 year ($24,000) and living expenses for 1 year ($10,000) or must I have the balance of living expenses for 2 years ($20,000) plus total tuition for 2 years ($45,000)?
Since you are sponsoring yourself you need to show funds to cover the entire program, because you can't tell them you intend to work while in Canada to cover the subsequent fees.
If you can get a co-sponsor it will help.

I go appreciate una response to this my question

Thanks
3 months to the start of your program is not bad, you can simply tell them you want to know the city very well before your program starts, as you won't have that much time during studies. But you know going 3 months earlier means more money to he spent, so make sure you have enough cash to cover all that

My people, I need your guide again. My previous application for study permit (M.Sc.) was denied due to my career progression (cos i already have M.Sc and PhD). I added my wife and daughter to the application but their own applications are still in progress since July 22, 2020. We are yet to do our biometrics.
To God be the glory, I received a full time offer letter for Post-doctoral fellow from University of Northern British Columbia and I have been given an employee number.
Now I want to apply for work permit.
Can I link the existing applications for my wife and daughter with my own new application? Or should I cancel their applications and reapply for all of us?
Can we still use the previous biometric request letters (date on it was July 22, 2020), and add it to previous application (note that my own has been denied and no decision on their own yet)? Or should we pay for new biometric?
Please any info on this will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I don't think your family application will be approved since yours (the principal applicant has been delayed). I will advise you cancel their application then reapply with your new job offer

Good afternoon gurus in the house please i got NSE message today but they only requested my bank statement for 6months with 12months banking history. I dont have 30k cad only 27kcad and have also paid 6k cad tuition deposit. Shud i reprint the my bank statement from june to december and upload or i need to send it to the embassy?
2. Can i attach my gift of deed letter alongside again as well as sponsorship letter? Or just upload the mybankstatement alone? Did upfront medicals yesterday although they didnt ask for it. Also i submitted ielts initially with my application
Since you have paid you tuition fee you can reply their message and upload your SOA from June to December (if you didn't do when yo applied).
Uploading your gift of deeds is also a good move. make sure you include that

Please, does the balance in company account affect study visa application? I want to submit my dad's company and personal bank statements;

Company has a balance of 2m and 6months turnover of abt 150m(My dad is the sole signatory)

Personal account, which is the sponsorship account has 10m (required skool fees is 9m)...

Thanks.
Yes, if the company is sponsoring you. If you dad is the only one sponsoring you and he has enough in his personal account to cover your studies and his other dependents then you have nothing to worry about. You need to show enough fund to cover your studies and also to run the company (if you are using a company SOA)

Thank you bro, I was planning to change at the airport, thank you once again for this information
It happens like that in all airports, you can change very little (especially if you have to pay for taxi or buy something at the airport), but your main exchange should be when you settle down in your city

One more question please.

I went through the list of documents needed for application and visa grant.
Unfortunately, i do not have a direct sponsor as my mum is late and my father is retired. But i saved up some money from trading Stocks and Agro-investments.

Can i sponsor myself for the student visa application or is there a way around this?
You can sponsor yourself as long as you have enough cash to cover the entire duration of your program.
N.B: You will have to show proof of your stocks trading and Agro-investments

On my International Passport, Birth Certificate and Bank statement of accounts, my names are; Makinde Oye Oluwafemi.
While on my BSC certificate and transcript, my name is written as;
Makinde Oye Femi

Please what issues may this pose on my visa application and how can it be rectified.
I need urgent answers please. Thank you.
An affidavit from you stating both names belong to you will do

Hello all. Please i finished from unizik with a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. With a gpa of 3.83. I intend to apply for Memorial University. I am being asked for my transcripts. I would like to know if I should submit the transcripts directly from my school or I should use WES which I have no idea how to go about it.

Please if anyone has been accepted to MUN. Please kindly send me an email. victoroyiogu@gmail.com.

I would like to also know my chances with my gpa
You don't need WES evaluation, apply for your transcript from your previous school and address it to MUN and it will be sent to them by your previous school (that's what makes it official). Though if you have strong connection in your previous school you can get the sealed copy of the transcript then you send it to MUN via DHL or FedEx or any other courier service company (for fast delivery).
Another option is if you are applying to more than one school, you can apply for student copy transcript from Unizik and then personally send to all the schools for them to process your admission, once you get offer from any other schools you can now apply for the official copy to be sent to them by UNIZIK.

When booking is it a one way ticket one should use or with a return?
Since you are going for studies and will spend more than 6 months, one-way will do.

So, I can actually carry a carryon bag and my laptop bag too and check two big bags right. I bought foodstuff of over 100k and I don't want to leave anything behind
The thing is that, they don't really weigh your carry-on bag(if it looks small), so make sure it is small enough to fit into the overhead cabin.

Did you pay for extra weight or your 23kg * 2 allowances was enough?
I wouldn't advice you to have extra, because you will be charged in $ for every extra kg(which will be very high at the end). Make sure you only take things that are very important to you(things you know you can't find easily in Canada). If you like your Naija food so much then you can decide to carry mostly foodstuff and very little clothing (with the intention of getting more when you arrive Canada)

They will need a written authorisation
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/immediate-family.html#authorization
Sure they need an authorisation to be able to travel this period due to what's happening..
My suggestion was actually based on normal circumstance.

Hello guys, does anyone know if family members are being allowed to travel/accompany students into Canada? I understand they also have to apply, but are they (family/accompany member) considered as essential travel too?

I will appreciate answers or experiences at point of entry. Thanks.
You can travel with your family if they have their visa as well.
You can either apply alone first then apply for them once you get your TRV or you apply together as a family.
That being said, I always advise applicants to apply alone first and use their family as home-tie , then apply for their family once they get their own TRV. But the choice is yours to make

Hello everyone.

I need help please! I submitted my study permit application October 4, did Biometrics October 9 or so.

In November I got notification to submit documents for the NSE stream which I did. I got a response from them Nov 30 saying that my documents are under review. My classes start 18 January 2021 and I am wondering the next step to take as I not received any update yet. I am considering these options and need your insights on the best option to take:

1. Go and do upfront medical. (I am on the IOM website and I can't even get a date up till March 1. Am I doing something wrong or are the dates really booked?!)

I don't know the Qlife website so I need guidance here.

2. Write the school to defer my resumption to May 2021. Is this too premature or I should wait a few more weeks?

I feel that since the NSE processing time is 20days, I should have gotten feedback by now. I know reality can be different but I can't wait around doing nothing when I have you guys to share your insights.

Thanks for reading, I value your contributions.

Have a great Sunday.
Deferring your admission depends on the deadline given by your school, if it remains a day to the deadline and you didn't hear from IRCC then you can defer.
Ask your school for the deadline then decide.
As for IRCC, you can send a reminder to them asking for update on your application since processing time for NSE has elapsed (though the processing time for the normal route hasn't)

Please let's try to read up whenever we ask questions to see if they have been attended to. @MrsFavour2020 has done justice to your question already : No consequences of not summiting sir, summiting the requirement is just a way to fasten her application under 20 working days against the normal processing time of 2 month plus. So once your wife does not meet up with the deadline for NSE requirement, her application would be processed through the normal route.
Good luck to her and every expectant of goodnews
WHAT GOD CANNOT DO, DOES NOT EXIST. THANK YOU JESUS.
Has your wife ever sat for IELTS exam and scored at least 6(overall)? if yes then she can submit that to IRCC so her application can be processed within 20 working days as opposed to the present processing time of around 32 weeks.
