@frank, maybe it me not just getting your point here or maybe the process now includes all sort of documents in name of company sponsorship!!
A simple recommendation letter, study leave with pay and maybe a sponsorship letter stating reason for sponsorship and kind of sponsorship will do.
All the documents mentioned will only be needed if the applicant feels the company sponsoring isn't genuine enough.
Which company in Nigeria will give her middle management team company bank statement? Tax clearance docs? CAC?(Except for family company, business or arranged company)
As good example to back my point is a staff that works with Glo, Shell or the Government and being sponsored!! Will these companies (private, multinational and public) drop any of the documents needed to proof sponsorship ?

It will end in praise.

[quote author=Frankrobbn1 post=90079256]
@Jejelaye01, the op is not asking after the documents to show proof of employment with the company, rather he is requesting for documents for company sponsorship.
You are actually right. Also, the applicant is not using his company as the main sponsor as he already has funding from his school that will cover his tuition and living expenses (from my calculation), so your suggestion is okay. Another option that can cover the "paid" leave part will be the company transfering a certain amount of money to him and state it will be for his flight (their way of supporting him)
NB: The applicant didn't structure his question properly, so that's where the misunderstanding is coming from

Is the $24k per year(if your intended program is for more than a year)? If yes, then all you need is for your employer to send the cash they intend to sponsor/support you with into your personal account (so as to raise it above #200k that is there already and you explain that will be for your flight).
If the $24k is for a year, then you have more than enough to cover for your tuition fee and living expenses, so the additional fund from your employer will just be then supporting you(which will really help convince the vo that they are investing in you cos you will come back).
Another important thing is, your employer needs to present a letter of support, it should boldly state that they will be expecting you at the end of your program and that your job back in Nigeria is secured(more like them giving you study leave).[b][quote author=Dovelove543 post=90013938]I recently discussed with my boss about my admission to study in Canada and if the company (my employer) for the past three years will stand as my sponsor, he agreed because I got a full scholarship and Teaching Assistant-ship job, with plans that I will return to Nigeria. Hello House

My profile is:
Age - 31
Degree - Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Experience - 7 years and counting in Construction in the middle east

I intend to take the study route to Canada by doing a diploma in IT which gives a 3 years post study visa. I have read about visa denials when one opts for diploma. Do I stand a good chance?

If I proceed, it will be fully self financed. Will that pose a problem during visa application? I intend to use my assets and properties in Nigeria as a proof of ties to Nigeria.

I'd appreciate your valuable contributions.

Any particular reason why are you going for a diploma in IT(apart from the 3 years post study visa)? Because you can also get that as long as you are going for a program with at least 2 years duration.
Back to the main issue at hand, you stand a better chance going for a course relating to your previous course of study or your present job experience. i.e you should go for masters or PGD in electrical electronics engineering related course or construction/building engineering. That way it will be much easier to convince the visa officer of your plans

Good morning y'all..

A quick one,

Can someone apply for a study permit even after paying 97% of his/her tuition fee..?
(Though I know its not compulsory to pay Tuition fee bfor apply for a Study Permit)

What warranted this question is that, Paying tuition fee in CANADIAN dollars from Nigeria didn't fall through, so we asked the skool, Can we pay in USD $, and they said YES...

So after doing the conversion of Tuition fee in USD dollars to Canadian dollar , it seemed sufficient enuf... But when the school sent the Payment receipt, there was a remaining balance of $344 CAD left.... I.e Tuition fee - $18,121CAD, got a receipt of $17,777 CAD..

I concluded probably it's the Charges here in Nigeria ( Form A), Senders charges & Charges of the Financial institution in Canada that affected that 18K CAD and ended with 17K CAD payment..

So is it safe to say ONE HAS PAID HIS/HER FULL TUITION FEE ,

Note:I Paid the Tuition fee with a DORM ACCOUNT

Thanks
There's no nothing to worry about

So I have gone ahead to withdraw my application by filling a webform as I also read on ircc page of the utmost importance of this.

My question now is should I go ahead and submit another application or I must wait for confirmation that the initial application has been withdrawn?

Thanks Frank
Why withdraw your application when you can send a webform asking for correction? Withdrawing your app is not the right call

I said from the two options he gave. Also, who says one can't switch from one field to another? Also you have to know this person in question though studied industrial chem but has been working in the marketing/business industry for years, so that's also enough reason for him to stick to it.
All he needs now is write a convincing sop and explain his reasons and he should be good to go.

1. My Mother is my sponsor and the statement of account she provided is a different account from her Salary account, It’s where she saves from her business and salary. How would I explain this in my Statement of purpose.
2. Will stating that she has other dependants affect my application?

Thank you
1. Be truthful, nothing to fear.
2. No it won't affect as long has she has enough to fund your studies and also carter for her other dependants.

Good Morning happy people.

I want to say a very big thank you to everybody that has been contributing to this thread. It has been immensely helpful.

I got admission into PGD in Industrial automation starting September in Ontario Colleague.

My concern is linking my SOP with my documents: I am currently employed with a job related to my course of study(not closely related.) but my monthly pay is not up to 100k. On the other hand, I have a personal account that have a good money flow and currently about 5m balance.

Now should I include my current employment letter and pay slip in the document submitted or should I only include the account statement for my personal account. I am trying to make a good case for home tie.

I am being sponsored by my elder bother who works for an oil company, his account balance and property is ok to sponsor me.

Thanks Nairalanders your candid advice will be appreciated.
If you are seeking for people's advice then you should give full details of your case and stop keeping your cards to your chest. Telling us your area of specialization at the moment won't invade your privacy, so kindly tell us that.
If we don't have a clear picture of your case then how can we give precise answers.
That aside, if you tell the vo you are working then you need to show proof of that and you can only do that by showing your ID, payslip/SOA showing your salary enters the account, employment letter, leave letter(depending on what you are saying in your SOP)

Just show your mom's proof of income and you should be good to go. Since she buys and sell properties, I want to believe she has receipts and other documents to show for it?
Is she renting any of those properties? If yes, then let her show proof of rent payment by her tenants, it will go a long way.

Yes I understand that, it makes sense. My point is why are folks saying you need a visa to attend online classes? if the school is providing that alternative for now due to covid is it not because they are aware you cannot be physically present? Is visa requirement for online classes a directive from the school or embassy or just a wrong assumption?
What happens if someone without the visa register for the semester and later got denied TRV and the travel restriction is lifted? Will the student be said to have failed that semester?
I don't get your point
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by mcobex: 2:01pm On May 18, 2020

This does not make sense to me, Why would one need a visa to attend online classes? I believe the purpose of the visa is to allow entry into the country, if you will be studying online then i think it makes sense that proof of payment of fees should be sufficient for now until one needs to be physically present. It is like saying people who do online degrees need a visa? You might as well be taking an online degree at the school, does that mean one needs a visa to take online courses?
Taken your courses online for the time being is not compulsory, but if you insist on not taking it then you can defer your admission to next available session for your course. They suggested the online thing due to the Corona virus thing so students who have secured TRV don't loose time.
Once there's free movement the students can move to Canada to continue.
NB: There's a high possibility that the airports will be opened before the end of the semester

please concerning the latest from cic about international students, what is the probability that student visa would be granted having being offered admission, paid fees and eventually been attending online classes till thing go back to normal. They said internationl students would be asked to attend classes online for fall 2020.
You can only attend online lessons if your TRV has been approved or gotten passport request.
Please online lesson is not for everyone that has applied for TRV o, let's not mistake it abeg.

The conversion is not CIC's business, all they are interested in is that you have paid your tuition and have proof. So don't worry

Hello everyone, guess y'all staying safe..
I got a quick question to ask ,more or else like a clarification

I wasn't able to pay My tuition in CAD$ , so my skool told me I can pay in USD $,...

So my Dad (Sponsor) withdrew some amount of money from his First Bank Account in Naira , changed them to USD $ and paid it into his FCMB Domiciliary Bank..
So its thru the FCMB domiciliary account he paid my tuition fee and it was the TELEX receipt (FCMB) I sent to the sch. they used to send me my TUITION PAYMENT RECEIPT

The FIRST BANK Account , thats where the funds for my Sponsorship, L.E., Proof of Funds etc. are located

My question is that, hope it doesn't mean anything otherwise that my Sponsor used his FCMB Domiciliary account to pay my tuition fee instead of his first Bank account (with lot of Funds)

Thanks...

Nothing to worry about, just make sure you include the proof of payment from the bank and also your tuition receipt. The proof of payment from the bank should bare the name of your dad, while the receipt from school bares your name.
You and your dad should explain the payment in your SOP and sponsorship letter respectively.
Good luck

Guys, I just noticed something now while checking through my records.

I have submitted my Canadian student study application some 3weeks ago (first timer). However, I was once denied F1 student visa in USA sometimes in December 2018.

While I was checking through my printed papers for the USA app today, I realized that I made mistake on my dad's birthdate. I never realized this until today.

In completing my Canada study visa, all details are properly filled, and I also submitted his voters card as part of client information, I submitted same for my mom and siblings.

Now my question is this, I understand that USA and Canada do share information about applicant. I just want to know if anyone knows whether they shared all information about applicant, including parent, sponsor and work experience details.

I would appreciate the response of anyone who knows the extent of this information being shared. And I anyone has once be denied visa to USA and then successfully get Canada visa even thou some details change from their first application to the successful one.

I appreciate every one for their contribution.
Since it is only your dad's date of birth, then you don't have any problem. His ID will sort that out(it is not a serious mistake).
I want to believe you declared that you have been denied US visa before? That is the main thing to be scared of

Then someone in the forum (who might have experience of sure bank universities with easy admission) would now be able to give u suggestions and ideas .

Note: Its after a Supervisor has accepted to supervise u that's when u will now process the admission and pay the Application fee..

Sorry about the rejection. First, I will ask you to speak with your brother about the reasons given by CIC. Ask him if he did anything that might have jeopardize your chances, if he hasn't done anything wrong then I will advise you appeal your case(that's if you have the time and resources to go through it).
These vos are human and sometimes times make mistakes. First speak with your brother and hear what he has to say about it. Good luck
NB: There's nothing wrong in you going for MSc or submitting your own SOA as well(as long as you showed enough funds to cover your tuition and living expenses and your sponsor showed her source of income)

1. He can withdraw from the account as long as the amount withdrawn doesn't affect your tuition and living expenses when it's time to pay(CIC can ask for updated SOA anytime they like, so you can imagine if they do and there's no money there).
2. Use all accounts if possible, but importantly his personal account(the one with money)
