Can someone please reply, then what are my chances of getting a work permit if the program is a 1 year course. Most of the PGD's are often for 1year.
No one here can assure you of securing TRV but we can advise you on what we think might increase your chances of securing it.
Yes your uncle or anyone can sponsor you. As for your statement of account, yes you should include it since you are working and gave a family. Since you have some cash on your own already, let your uncle be a co-sponsor and you be the main(especially if it is a one year program). You can apply alone and use your wife and kid(s) as hometie.

Sir can a company’s SOA be a good weight to show sponsorship (the company is owned by my dad )
Company sponsorship hardly flies except the company is a very big one(shell, chevron.....) or has a good relationship with CIC in the past(by sponsoring other students and CIC is fully aware of it). I doubt if your dad's company falls I to those two options (I mean no disrespect).
Your dad is free to submit the company's SOA, but he should also(very very important) submit his own(CIC doesn't expect him to use money meant to run his company on your education). He should make sure he has more than what he intend to commit towards your studies in his personal bank account or better still pay your tuition fee and show that your living expenses is available in his account pending when you are about to leave for Canada ( but make sure you check your school's refund policy before paying any fee).
Submitting his company's SOA (with enough fund to run the business and also take care of your fees) will erase any doubt on the vo's mind concerning your funds.
Good luck

Thanks for the response bro
Actually, my younger brother finished secondary school two years ago, he is applying with his WAEC result, he has not engaged in any post secondary programme. Also he wrote his waec exam in a school different from where he attended secondary school. And we filled in the school that appeared in the waec certificate in his application form. So I am a bit confused on where I should go get his secondary school transcripts.
Thanks sir
His transcript is just his report card(list of subjects he took and the grades he got from jss1-ss2). Let him go to those schools and ask them for it (they should still have his record), if they don't then let them give him a letter to that effect. Another option is to include his waec results checking card

Ok brother, thanks a lot. I appreciate sincerely.

“In reviewing your admissions file for the upcoming term, it was noted that a condition of your acceptance is still outstanding. Typically, the condition is an official copy (an original, paper copy, signed and/or sealed by the appropriate body) of your secondary school or post-secondary transcript”
Please are they talking about submitting waec details plus waec scratch card as regards the above sentence?
They are asking for your transcript, it has to be sent by your previous institution (not by you). But if you think they won't send it on time you can plead with them to seal it and give you to send via any of the courier service companies around you (but make sure you put the name of sender as your previous school).
NB: Have you asked your previous school(s) to send your transcript to them?

Thanks a lot for your contribution
The person paid $1000Cad as part tuition required by the school from his account, to prove commitment. I really don’t understand the living expense part. Please what steps should be taken so as to convince the VO when the time comes. Thanks again.
I don't know how much your tuition fee is, but CAD1000(from a 3rd party) might not be enough to convince a vo.
Living expenses is at least CAD10,000, so do the math by adding the balance of your tuition fee to the living expenses of CAD10k. Your sponsor needs to show more commitment so you don't raise any doubt in the mind of the vo

I have already paid my school fees last year december just for student visa/permit application.

So your sponsor will cover living expenses(CAD 10,000) or you have that aside?

Please can I present only my sponsors (cousin with the same surname) statement of account like 5 million naira?
I don't intend to present my own statement since there is no fund in my account now. I will also attach my lands and house documents as evidence too.
The 5 million will be for what and what? Explain to us what you intend to cover with that amount. Is the sponsor giving you the whole 5 million or what is the plan?
N.B: You can't pay your tuition and living expenses by just showing your lands/properties

How much of that 20mil is the person giving you for your tuition fee and living expenses? That will determine if it will fly or not

do you know anyone who has applied in another country of residence before and got a visa, pls I need to know since my statement of accounts are going to come from Nigeria?
A lot of people have done it and gotten it. As long as you are a legal resident of that country (studying or working) you are legible to apply from there(not minding where the SOA is coming from). All you need do is show hometie (there or in Nigeria) and also explain how you have been of good character and kept the laws during your stay in the said country (tell the vo if you can do that in Dubai, you can also do same in Canada). If possible get a police report from UAE(since you have been there for the past 6 months and live there).

Good day everyone i am about applying for my study visa but i have some very important questions to ask about my sponsor, i got admission to a masters program in University Of Regina ,The person i am planning on using as a sponsor is my step sister uncle (step sister Dad brother) he is a director in one of Lagos state ministry,i cant use my parents statement of account due to financial capabilities, so i would like to know if this is a red flag, if its not, what is the best way i can prove a relationship with him and what are the necessary documents or letters he will need to provide fpr me,also will he be required to transfer some sum of money into my account just to prove commitment and also i would be including my step sister as part of my siblings, hope this wont raise a red flag, i would really appreciate if i can be guided about this, thanks everyone
cc qukdom justwise frankrobbn1 and others thanks
Yes, let him show commitment by paying the said fund into your account or pay the tuition fee directly to the school.
Feel free to include your step-sister as your sibling(cos that's what she is to you). Good luck

Hello All,
I got my study permit application refused today due to:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on your personal assets and financial status.
I ordered my GCMS note already.
Any idea on when to expect my GCMS note?
I will also appreciate any help in tackling the above reasons.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry about the delay. You have done the right thing by ordering your gcms note, it will take around 30-40 days to get to you.

Good morning. Please I need help.

I am applying to Macewan University, NAIT, and university of Alberta. These schools will definitely request for my transcript (from my high school and post secondary school) and my questions are:
1. Do I have to pay for each transcript sent to the schools?
2. Or is it possible to pay for my high school transcript + post secondary transcript just once and then have it sent to the schools?
Sorry to say, but this is between you and your previous schools. Go to your previous schools and discuss with those in charge on how to go about it(some schools charge you for one transcript then you pay courier fee to additional schools) , so ask from your previous schools.
No one here can give you a definite answer on that

This my story is complicated and my fault but still,I am applying to holland college for a diploma in business admin ...finished high school in 2015, went to a private school in Nigeria ( Babcock university) wasted my whole 4 years there cause of bad grades couldn’t graduate with my mates so I dropped out last year which was 2019 even if I say let me go back there I have lost the interest in schooling in Babcock.....now My father is not willing to spend an enormous amount on me since I messed up in Babcock that’s why I am applying for a diploma which he says he can afford to spend on me. I hope you get my point ?.
Yes I get it now. Just try to talk more about the advantages of studying in a college(make it general)

Another question sir if you don’t mind
A student applying to a college ( diploma ) is the SOP meant to be why you applied to that college and not go for a BSc or it’s meant to be generalized
What is your highest qualification right now?
Every program have its own advantages, so play to the strength of the one you are going for

SAVE MY SOUL
Good day house I am a 19 year old fresh graduate from secondary school and I got an admission to university of Manitoba last year and I put in for my study visa application in November last year.

MY TIMELINE
Application online route through an agent -November 23
Biometrics -November 26
Biometrics validation letter -24 January
Refusal- 24 January
*based on family ties in Canada and home country
*based on financial assets and financial status

DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED
-Standardized Admission letter
-Complete application forms
-International passport data page
-Sponsorship letter from a politician with SOA ending balance at 21M and has good turn over

*sponsor is not related to me but my uncles friend whom he had known for 20 years and this was stated in the sponsorship letter.

*No form of commitment was made like transfer of funds to my account towards the scholarship.

*The sponsor stated that I am a beneficiary of his initiative as a way to giving back to community but didn’t state how I was chosen for the scholarship.

NB : No Letter of explanation was written

I will like to reapply this month because my admission is still valid til September 2020, please house how do I tackle this ?

Personally I would advise you get your gcms note to know the exact reason behind the denial.
That said, I also think your sponsor showing commitment will go a long way to helping your case. Those two steps + a good SOP should do

Sir thank you very much ..something always gets me confused when you mean the exact amount, is it the amount for the whole program till I finish Like for instance if it costs 30k$ for the whole program is that what he is meant to say ?? OR if the program whole program is 30k$ can he say he will be investing 40k$ in my studies ? Thanks
Normally you are supposed to show funds for at least the first year of your program, so if your sponsor is bringing 10k or whatever amount he/she should clearly state it in the letter of support (not just by saying "I will sponsor and cover all expenses related to his study while in Canada"wink. He should be specific

I believe there as been some verifications

I'm really dying of curiosity here
Need my passport back jaree
It is normal for CIC to do a background check after passport request, so nothing to worry about (if your bank statement and other submitted documents are okay). They will surely send your stamped passport to you soon.

Thanks for replying.Tuition is 4.1M, a one year PDG. The whole amount is dedicated for study. Do you still advise on a co- sponsor?
If you add up the tuition and living expenses you will have around 7-8M, so 11M should be enough for you (especially if you don't have any dependant).
Getting a co-sponsor will only increase your financial strength, but since you have more than enough to cover everything it won't be necessary.

Hello everyone,

Am a silent reader on this thread, currently applied and received admission offer letter from Nova Scotia Community College ( PDG). Human Resource.

Need guidance as regards a few things:

In my early thirties- studied french, 5 years work experience, 2 in nigeria( administration), 3 in Asia( Admin& HR).

It is okay if i present myself as the only sponspor. My parents are retired. Balance roughly 11M.

@Frankrobbn1 and others in house. Open to receiving opinions.

If you need me to provide more information, i will.
If the 11M will cover your tuition and living expenses for the entire program then you are good to go, but if not you need a co-sponsor to support you.
What is your tuition fee and duration of the said program?

Response plz?
Don't bother, the clinic will send the result to CIC after some days(most likely after 4-5 days).
But if you must, you can just send the medical receipt via email to CIC stating your application details.
congratulations
