If my dream country is not there, weti I gain? My dream country will never disappoint me. It always come on the list for every good news. Is it the most livable city in the world that you won't find my dream country? Or is it strong economy and quality standard of living that you won't see it. What of low unemployment rate? You will surely see my dream country on the list. Jobs kor, they yakpa. Na you go dey run from work. Work go dey chase you up and down.

Unlike Nigeria that is always known for bad news ( father of bad news).

They should continue deceiving themselves.
There was serious fire fighting and someone has the chance and freedom to do vidoes and snap pictures.

Thanks to God i am not living there. And dont have any family member there. Both their seriousness and hypocrisy is still on them.
I think they have military photographers and videographers just like air force has flyer. They also have military Doctors. That's their specialty. They even have military journalists that capture news during war. Those once don't engage in war. They are trained to be in a war zone to cover the whole encounter.

faoogoke:
This information is false.

The kidnapping took place in an estate beside the Army Estate, at the back by the mountain.

The estate where the kidnapping took place is Hill Top estate.

I reside in the Army Estate.

I am not saying the Army estate is security proof anyway but that this incident did not happen there.
Is it not the same thing we are saying? Whether it happened in front of the army estate or back of the army estate, all we are saying is that Abuja is no longer safe to be inhabited.

Na when e reach south south then go know say the number of cultists in PH alone is bigger than all bandits in the world combined

Do you know 90% of these kidnapped victims must have voted APC to teach Peter Obi a lesson🤣🤣🤣
These are the people cultists should be waging war against. But no, they are killing themselves up and down while bandits and kidnappers are having a filled day.

If they are fighting bandits and kidnappers, we will understand they are fighting a good fight. But no they decide to be killing themselves all in the name of colors. Every cultist should have a rethink.

Fight a fight that will bring posterity. Fight against bandits, injustice and kidnappers. But heck no, they only fight for colors.

Isn't it amazing?

I have over 5 years of proven experience in chemical plant operations with Anzsco code of 399211 while I have both bachelor and masters degree in chemical engineering with Anzsco code 233111. My years of work have been in operations and not process design which is mostly the job description of a chemical engineer.

Please advice what to do. I am confused as to which assessment to do.
I will suggest, you assess as a Chemical Engineer.

The below is the role of a chemical Engineer as obtained from Anzscosearch:

"Designs and prepares specifications for chemical process systems and the construction and operation of commercial-scale chemical plants, and supervises industrial processing and fabrication of products undergoing physical and chemical changes. Registration or licensing may be required."

As you can see on the bolded above, plant operation is also a role of a Chemical Engineer. As a plant operator, I will suggest you tailor your experience to fit the role of a chemical engineer order than a plant operator, as operation of plants is also a role of a Chemical engineer.

You can tailor your role to match a Chemical Engineer if your experience is verifiable to be able to claim that point for that 5 years experience.

Because most agent lie a lot about getting good houses for somebody, just to collect your money
After Nigeria politicians, fear Nigeria agents. Ask them if they have a 1 bed room flat with pop, kitchen cabinet and wardrobe in Sabisa forest, they will surely tell you YES, they have. I need this in Sabisa forest o. They will answer Yes na. We have enough. You can choose the one u want. Is it not in Sabisa forest you need it? We get up to 3 there. You will have to choose.

The next question is what's your budget? But it's when they take you to the house you will know most agents are liars and wicked. They will go and show you one old house with no pop.

Make these agents dey fear God sometimes.

It's just getting started o. Sometimes, I wonder how the upcoming generation will 'breathe'.

Around Sangotedo area where I currently stay (Close to BLENCO), a decent Room & Parlour self contain used to be 450K-500K per annum. Now, it's around 650K-700K. 2 bedroom flat then used to be 700K-750K, it's now 900K-1M.

I had a quarrel with my landlord late last year about the Compound Gate & pumping machine. Baba dey threaten me with Quit Notice. Meself dey shout for am sey I no send. After scouting for houses nearby and hearing the price, na me use my two leg go make peace. It's now I know why the other tennants have remained loyal. cheesy cheesy

That's because you rented directly from the house owner. If you pass through agents, they would have inflated the price for you.

Nigeria agents are wicked.

Depends on location (school area, rural and suburban seems doable)

Bedsitter 70-150K +

1 BR 90 - 180K +

2 BR 170- 300K +

Still... minimum wage (35K) won't be feasible for rent in solid 6 figures.
These rents you posted will only be feasible for old houses. A standard bed sitter with POP, standard kitchen cabinet, heater and wardrobe, you won't even see it for 250k.

There was 1 spacious 1 bed room flat somebody posted in one WhatsApp group I am in. It goes for 620k including every other fees. Actual rent was 450k.

The apartment is fine though. So, it's worth it. But those fees up there, can only be possible for old houses with those old asbestos ceilings.
Properties › Re: House Rent In This Country Is Nothing To Write About by Mcslize: 2:52pm On Jan 16, 2024
A good 1 bed room flat/apartment with POP, standard kitchen cabinet, wardrobe currently goes for 500,000, excluding agent fee, caution fee, utility fee, legal fees o.

Agents in Nigeria are crazy. See the different fees one has to pay in addition to the actual amount. They will just come up with different fees. Is that not greediness?

Your ordeal is similar to mine. I went for my masters in the UK 2009. I finished in 2010 and I returned to Nigerian despite pleas from my parents for me to stay back and apply for post-study permit. I came back to Nigeria and I was unemployed for good 3 years straight. I was depressed, I eventually left Nigeria and today I’m happy I did. Grown and comfortable in my career, life in general. I’m not advising folks to leave Nigeria but for the average man in Nigeria, it’s a nightmare to succeed. Look around you..the economy has made most youths online fraudsters, high insecurity, drug peddlers, should I go on. Until we have good leaders, nothing will change
They are kidnapping people in Abuja as I am typing this. They are demanding 100 million naira. They have killed 3. Can you imagine? And Op is telling us to stay back in Nigeria.

If I rush enter Op they will say human being is wicked.

If I ever see anybody that campaigns for those that want to japa to stay back in Nigeria, me and that person will wear one trouser this year.

I believe you all can see the level of insecurity in the country and you will still come and open your mouth to tell people that value their lives to stay back and make all the money in Nigeria. Who told you it's money people are going abroad to make? Can't you see the level of insecurity in the country?

Change course. Going to school to study mass com is a waste of time and resources. Those are the courses we call ceremonial courses. No prospect.

As a non science student, go for social work course or better go for an education course; early childhood education. Those two are better than that mass com. They have more prospects here in Nigeria and even abroad.

This is bad, from lectures to military officers, they don't want to learn from their colleagues that have been sacked and humiliated

I'm sure the colonel will be investigated but she shouldn't have to social media, it's against military tradition.

If I were her, I would take my time, gather all the evidence and then report him to the army authority , infact the colonel will be afraid of her if he knows she has something she can use against him.
Didn't you read where she said she had reported to senior army officers countless times?

There is a limit one can bear certain things. Before she came out to voice out her ordeal, she had exhausted all routes.

Is this the same country some persons want me to stay with them, saying there is more money in Nigeria? Who told you those that want to leave are leaving because of money?

This is one of the reasons some persons are leaving the country. A country where humans behave like animals. If I see anybody in this platform telling anyone not to leave Nigeria, this platform will not contain both of us. I will too drag you and drag the life out of you.

When you see things like this, are you happy? Is this not enough reason for people to leave the country to a saner clime? Let me catch anyone telling people not to travel out.
