Travel / Re: My Cousin Is Stranded In The US.. Needs A Place To Stay (He Is Single & Handsome by Mcteeblack: 7:25am On May 08, 2016

Hi Nailanders,

My cousin travelled to the US a week ago for a Art conference ( he is on a business visa). The Art Residency as its called is still ongoing and will finish soon.

He made an arrangement with his friend in Ohio that after the conference he would be coming over to stay with him. When he got to the US, he called his friend and the friend started ignoring his calls. He finally got through but the friend told him that he has changed his mind that he should look for somewhere else to stay.

Cousin is disappointed, and doesn't have anybody or place to stay after the conference. The conference is in New york. The Art organizers provided him with accommodation until the end date of the conference.

Nairalanders, I need your help to assist this brother.

Thank you
Simple, TELL HIM TO GO TO A NIGERIA CHURCH. They'll help him out with accommodation

Some people can only open dis mouth to say rubbish of wat dey re ignorant of.i v a full plot with 4 bedroom all ensuite.and ver big.and I didn't even consum 1/2 of d total plot.

So I blv its possible just v sketchy idea of want u want and achi wil mak it real
Mr full plot, forget dat rubbish u dey say for mouth. You can never build a 5 bedroom bungalow on a half plot of land except u want to build something dat would be very small to even contain a queen size bed n wardrobe.
PLEASE I'LL ADVISE YOU TO CONTACT AN EXPERT , he'll measure d land to even see if it's up to standard half plot, and he'll tell you how small it would be. But I'll advice you not to try it. Because you'll still to remove ur sitting room, kitchen and restrooms from dat same 1/2 plot

This is just too low for you guys!

Thank God you said u know he has good intentions. And remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. This man is trying his best to make things better but some people are there who don't want things for better because it's going to hinder them from making money. Let just give him more time than wanting a miracle within a year. With his moves and policies, I see a greater Nigeria soon
olsmade:
Se na like this we go dey dey?

Baba, I know you have good intentions but that is not why we voted you in. If that was enough for the job, we would have kept Goodluck. This suffering is getting too much, haba. I also know you have good plans but at this rate, I pray we live to see the dividends of your governance.

Lol, 1) having money is good but doesn't mean you have a worthy life. They are two separate things.

2) Being a single mother isn't what you wished for. Na condition make u accept your faith. You say that to only those who don't know how it goes here in Abroad. Men ain't ready to settle down with your bcoz they see no house material in ur features. They are only there to Bleep ur mother-fucking ass and won't put a ring in ur finger. So pls SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND SAY SOMETHING ELSE.

3) Even if pastor E.A killed someone, you already said it that he taught his a the if but turn out to be a cop. So that na SELL DEFENSE if PROVED.

So Aunty Kemi, pls go back to ur home to teach ur daughter how to be a good house wife instead to saying nonsense around.

Dude you dont need all these. Rather come up with an innovative idea , and let's watch this country grow.

Fall in Oil prices is the reason for this and that is what you should be saying and not blaming those who are trying to strengthen the Naira by Not devaluating it.

That is there own idea as a solution to the problem, what is your own innovative idea? undecided
I strongly believe that my brother, must of the people making comments here are just saying it from their own view. So don't blame them cos they know just little when it comes to economic growth. Tho fuel price has fallen down and datz wat we depends on as a Nation but to me I think alternative ways should have been in place before stopping forex trade. We has a Nation want to be like the developed countries but we not making the efforts they have put in place before reaching there. A lots to say but lemme just stop here. BLAME NO ONE BUT WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE NIGERIA GREAT AGAIN.

This just shows that with handwork and consistency, the sky is just the starting point no matter how long it takes to fly. It was earlier reported about this young intellect identified as Bashar Aliyu from Sokoto -who designs dynamic and awesome car models. Luck has now caught up with the talented teenager as the Sokoto state governor -Aminu Tambuwal today awarded scholarship to him to study automotive design in an American University. Congrats to him

There were 504 taxis in Lagos in 1982. Many of them. Peugeot 405 had not been made in 1982.
I meant to type 504 and 505. But non of them were used for Taxi. They were part of the luxury cars invoke then. But I don't mean they are the best then oooo

I know he would be regretting his decision by now, cos he would think NFF would be him, and Nff don say dem no go beg, na Oliseh go beg am? As far as I'm concerned, no Nigerian footballer is doing us any favour, playing for the national team is a privilege, there are many talented ballers out there that are now mechanics and carpenters so if you are the No1 goalie for 9ja you should count yourself lucky. Cassilas did more than this for R.madrid, he left in tears.
I won't call u names, but would you deny the fact that this guy really tried his best as a keeper for Nigeria? That alone is enough to be respected by all coaches no matter what happens. I don't support the way Olishe treated him. Come to think of it, we know the stupid atrocities this Olishe guy did during his days as a player but d time hasn't come for us to discuss dat.

I have seen millions go just like that... Guys wake up.. It ain't 20 mill dollars..

An average engineer earns 125,000 dollars per annum..

Equivalent to abt 25 million naira..

So what d heck.. With mortgage, security and loans and a chance at a better life... Knowing I could make that amount every year..

God punish 20 million naira
Most comments here are just u enlighten each other. And nobody is saying an average engineer doesn't make $125k per annual. But
* did u start making it immediately he got here?
* how many years did it take him to collect his course to work.
* what is his take home after tax?
* how much does he have left after all bills.

There is opportunities here but don't just think datz how we make dat money easily. Don't forget dat our certificate is not regarded unless we had a course to it over there.
For those dat have a good business idea, pls take the money and invest real good. Am sure most people saying it's certainly easy in America ain't even in America or they gat a rich uncle or dad who hot their back.
And if you know u can't invest 20million naira, you can NEVER invest even 1 trillion when given to you.
I've once discuss dis topic before coming over and I choose green card. But getting here I realized d different
