martineverest:Exactly, have been on the 24G plan for a long time; the slow speed is not their only problem but they also annoyingly keep disconnecting you constantly every other minute or so; making browsing quite frustrating and tiresome. I am really fed up and have therefore decided to to go back to Etisalat once my current data runs out - unless they improve significantly. |
Pavarottii:My friend, you are not even Yoruba so literally taking Panadol for someone's headache - why not let those it should concern i.e. the Yorubas complain. Secondly, you are seemingly typing before thinking - shouting injustice without proof. Pls tell me how does granting someone bail amount to injustice; considering that quite a few of them may even be innocent, taking into account how our police operate by arresting anybody and anyone on sight as a crime suspect? Does granting them bail mean they have been declared innocent and would not be facing prosecution in court according to the charges against them? What Kwankwaso did was commendable because he achieved a few things in one full swoop: Ensuring that the suspects still face trial but in relative freedom under his surety - i.e. bail Reducing the tension and pleasing their Yoruba hosts by removing them and relocating them far away from Lagos in their respective home states. Giving them money and encouraging them to start their lives afresh without need to return to Lagos would go a long way towards preventing re-occurrence of the last incidence. If you had read carefully towards the end, you would have noticed that Kwankwasho further gathered the northern/Hausa community and advised them to respect and live peacefully with their hosts and serve as good ambassadors of the north - what more could be better than that? Pls re-set your mindset to allow you become more objective and therefore stop you from seeing faults where they do not exist. |
JBismarck:Yes indeed, you can say that again. He achieved at least three things in one full swoop: 1) Ensuring they still face the charges against them but in relative freedom under his surety - i.e. bail 2) Reducing the tension and pleasing their Yoruba hosts by completely removing them far away from Lagos by relocating them to their respective home states 3)Giving them money and chance to start a new life elsewhere; therefore discouraging repetition of the Lagos event. All above being win win situations which no doubt would boost his political popularity ensuring more votes for him in election times. |
SirVintageCock:One question: what would you have to say about agencies created by states governments for a specific purposes e.g. LASTMA in Lagos with power of arrest, how is that different from Hisbah? - think out of the box, set your mind free and stop the bigotry. |
suyamasta:I guarantee if you'd look into a mirror you'd see the reflection of a very myopic person. My friend, you can't eat your cake and still have it; you started a thread against the Hisbah and Sharia, yet in the same breath claiming not to be against freedom of religion - LOL, what huge self contradiction, you can't be serious - who are you kidding?. So far you have made baseless misconceived allegations against the Sharia system in Nigeria (e.g. Sharia being imposed on non-Muslims, alcohol ban in Kano being part of the Sharia law, dress code etc) which I have successfully addressed with specific examples and proven you wrong; instead of accepting defeat, you continue to remain in denial, arguing like a headless chicken while grappling at straws and trying to shift the goalpost by bringing in distant issues far from the central matter at hand. You are simply incorrigible, in fact beyond redemption; I therefore have no more time to waste on someone like you- hopefully those following the thread would have seen the facts and arrived at the correct conclusion. |
Chai, Chineke! some wailers would prefer to drink poison than accept this story - just wait and watch them. |
suyamasta:I have not overlooked anything, on the other hand you are the one who has chosen to repeatedly overlook the stark realities on the ground i.e. that Sharia is a constitutional right for Muslims (that is why nobody has been able to go to court and overturn it). States implementing it in the north are NOT committing any illegality (this belief continues to be only a figment of your own imagination) - learn to live with it. You are again quite wrong on the issue of ban of alcohol in Kano; yes it is true the state banned the sale and consumption of alcohol but not under the Sharia Code. Under the constitution, every state is given the right to enact laws passed through its House of Assembly as it deems fit based on its local peculiarities for the common good of its citizens, provided such law(s) does not conflict with the constitution. Kano State chose to use that process to ban alcohol in the state (not under Sharia as you wrongly assumed); much in the same way many states in America also banned alcohol during the prohibition years of the 1930s and Fashola banned smoking in public places within Lagos State. You can also find similar examples on the issue of hijab (dress code) which you additionally raised - both locally and abroad: The state of Florida in the USA banned that act of sagging i.e. wearing trousers so low exposing one's underwear, a fine of $500 or 50 hours community service is to be impose on offenders. https://www.nairaland.com/1500858/florida-town-plans-ticket-women Akwaihedi community in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State has allegedly passed a law against the wearing of trousers by women. Offenders will be fined N50,000. http://thenationonlineng.net/women-wearing-trousers-to-pay-n50000-fine/ Fashola banned hijab in public schools; though the law was challenged but the courts upheld it. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/169658-court-upholds-ban-on-use-of-hijab-in-lagos-public-schools.html The same Fshola again banned indecent dressing (miniskirts etc) among Lagos civil servants. http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/02/20/fashola-bans-mini-skirts-other-attires/ From the above you see that Kano State was not acting against the norm or illegally when it passed the laws concerning alcohol and indecency on its citizens. It is therefore better, sometimes to ask or research on your own rather than rely heavily on hearsay and sentiments (which is quite apparent in your case) instead of blindly jumping on the bandwagon and exposing your ignorance. I would advise again that you do something about your comprehension because my earlier posts had already explicitly or implicitly addressed these issues - therefore making all this lengthy explanation totally unnecessary. |
Realmcfynest:Ah! mama peace classmate; abeg just go park one side, because this one pass your level. |
@OP: Not only Nigeria but very soon we shall Islamize the Vatican and Islam will be the chosen religion of the whole world - hope you can sleep better now, and pls don't forget to say Amen. |
LOL @ the thread: Indeed do me as I do you God no vex. |
AntiWailer:LOL, this is how they have been spamming the internet and masturbating over this baseless recycled story (without source and credibility) - its their way of lamenting the loss of the election. |
Taeewo:Chai, see bad belle. |
^^^^How refreshing, at last! someone who can actually read, write and comprehend in English - unlike so many of our growing number of educated illiterates who often rush to condemn others while completely oblivious of their own quite unforgivable shortcomings. |
MossadAgent:Odechukwu classmate; even though you correctly quoted me, you still fail to see where I already said such marriage may not necessarily be agreeable to everybody, both Christians and Muslims - it is clearly written out there; yet you still insist on showing your dullness, Chai! na wa oOh!. |
irondome:Its not their fault, there is a disease called FLATINOSIS which afflicts many of them; stops them from reasoning properly, and instead makes them prone to hate irrationally and to be criminally inclined. |
OlujobaSamuel:Unfortunately, some ppl are destined to come to this world and just hate, lie and cheat, its there in their DNA - nothing you can do except pray for them. |
MalcoImX:Na only that one, abeg, who never remember our former national disaster, mama Peace, aka PEJ - diaris God oOh! In fact some of these fantastically corrupt regional exam results are beginning to slowly explain themselves. |
kodded:How come those animals in that picture resemble ppl with flat heads? |
E be like say FFK just escaped from EFCC custody. |
^^^^Retrogressive because he does not agree with your wild goose chase conspiracy theory - wow! how original. |
MossadAgent:I didn't want to respond to your bigotry but seeing how this sad unfortunate case is being turned into an Islam/Muslim bashing thread and quickly gaining support of equally ignorant minded set of hateful ppl like yourself; I unfortunately feel obliged to respond in the same kind. First of all, let me ask you what you feel should rightly be done to the child - abandon and not to care for it simply because you think it is a bastard? Did the child asked to be conceived into this world and what may possibly be its crime that it should deserve to be castigated and discriminated against - and would such discrimination conform with Christian doctrine (assuming you are Christian)? Lastly, talking about bastards; a lot of you from the south embrace the culture of impregnating your women prior to marriage (basically to be assured of their fertility) and by definition many of you are therefore bastards. By the same token, your bastard children shouldn't therefore be christened or accepted by your churches let alone their parents being married before it in the first place - your bigotry is unfortunately typical of the pot calling the kettle black. BTW, that child is not a bastard because its parents were effectively married - though not necessarily under circumstances which may agree with everybody (both Christians and Muslims). |
Realmcfynest:But na English dem take write am na or abi na Ninglish (aka Nigerian English) - which one you dey? |
folks4luv:But they have already stoned him before na - remember the Eid ground last year. BTW, the angle of that photograph is deceptively narrow, showing only a handful of ppl rather than a massive crowd that could have clearly proven his popularity - they could easily pass for a rented crowd, just saying. |
From Kirikiri or Kuje prison ba? |
Kai some ppl are just too gullible; a story with such misleading headline and without a source therefore verifiable credibility; yet see as they are falling all over themselves criticizing or supporting this trash. |
deliveryboy:Walahi, see how the hypocrites are silent. Where is Ben Bruce, FFK, Tunde Bakare or condemnation of the the tribe, religion or region of the perpetrator of this heinous act - nowhere, nothing like that since its in their backyard. I have taken a conscious decision never to allow them forget their bigotry by constantly reminding them of their double standards whenever I come across such cases. deliveryboy:@BOLD: Yes quite true, in fact recent report on VVF show the incidence has shifted away from the north and it is ironically now highest in the SE, in particular Ebonyi State. https://www.nairaland.com/2952864/ebonyi-tops-vvf-vaginal-fistula |

Realmcfynest:Unless you and the OP have additional information other than the above provided script then I'd say you and many like you can easily be misled and therefore need to polish up your comprehension. Pls revise this statement again and explain to me how it could have been referring to EL Rufai? “The threat of expulsion of the distinguished senator by El-Rufai spokesman is nothing but the hallucinations of a barely educated ogogoro drinker. Furthermore, logic would tell you that he couldn't have been referring to governor EL Rufai because it is common knowledge that El Rufai is hardly a man that can be correctly described as barely educated - unless of course if the senator was instead referring to his spokesman .i.e Tanko Wusono @OP: You need to correctly rephrase your misleading headline because throughout the entire article there was no place where the word alcoholic was used neither does reference to anyone as an ogogoro drinker automatically translate to mean that the person is an alcoholic - pls kindly do the needful. Recall this was exactly why this forum had to take out a full page of apology to Muslims for misrepresenting a story of a congregational prayer at Ibrahim Shekarau's house intended for the safe release of the former minister from EFCC to wrongly mean the prayer was meant to bring down PMB's goverment. https://www.nairaland.com/3116554/apology-muslims-praying-allah-destroy |
ProfessorXX:Even their women no dey carry last. |
sanandreas:Exactly, its an unwarranted invasion of privacy, |
Christian men of God and Paedophilia flock together. |
