SnowJay92: Sorry, the ppl of ND have not done anything to show they are not in cahoots with the NDA; they know who they are, where are, and how they operate but are not sharing any intelligence about their activities with the law enforcement agencies; in short they are aiding and abetting the militants - they are as of now therefore also culpable (note the key word being , as of now, meaning temporary). They are currently holding and serving the rest of Nigeria a lesson on selfishness and non sharing; then why shouldn't they also be the among the first to feel the full brunt of this selfishness; why shouldn't they receive a share of they have been giving Nigerians - i.e. darkness? Surely. the pickin wey say im mama no go sleep him ma no go sleep. |

rottennaija: Its already happening, states with alternative energy sources are being encouraged to generate and contribute to the national grid: Katsina Solar 75 MW, Kano Hydro 13 MW, Lagos ?MW; while others are still in the pipeline at planning stage e.g. Jigawa, Solar etc. If this continues, we will eventually have the required mix and flexibility where no region either by accident or deliberate sabotage (e.g. NDA) can hold the country to ransom. As of now I recommend that those ND areas deliberately causing the current shortages should not enjoy from these alternative sources; rather they should enjoy the full brunt of their actions - i.e. darkness. 1 Like |

maasoap: Unfortunately the south has monopoly of the press and in the ethno-religious context we are living today, southerners can easily manage the information that reaching us to suit their political agenda; this explains for the many gaps in these stories. It has even been postulated that some of these attacks attributed to Fulani herdsmen could in fact be committed by other criminals who disguise themselves as Fulanis in order to hide their real identities or even be stage managed (with real victims) to give them a bad name. Certainly, the latter possibilities may not be too far fetched with regards to the SE attacks considering the IPOB tactics to cause maximum disaffection between ethnic groups in order to achieve their agenda - it is possible they have could stage managed some of these attacks themselves to blame it on the Fulani (your unanswered questions coming to mind). |

todayboy: Yes indeed, and you shall remain in darkness till you receive sense and begin to hold your governors accountable and responsible for the vast amount of your oyel money going into their pockets instead of similarly developing your states; while deceiving you with the usual pack of lies that northerners are responsible for their under achievement at your collective expense. If you don't like it pls end your misery by jumping into the nearest lagoon or go hug a wet juicy transformer to facilitate your timely exit. Its so irritating, always ranting about our oyel money as if they or their grandfathers were responsible for planting the said oil in the soil - glad the NDA bombings is now causing the FG to shift drilling to the Chad Basin in the NE, maybe we will finally hear word. |

modath: We are at least now finally getting some insight into the other side of the story; much as the Fulani have been maligned as wanton killers, it should be equally obvious that they wouldn't just wake and start killing ppl without a reason; part of that reason as we can see is that the Igbos have been scamming them, collecting money for grazing or selling them land and later renegading or collecting same under false pretext. There was even a thread about similar happening where some youths in Amalla LG, Enugu allegedly sold land to the Fulani for as much as 4 million Naira, causing some members of the community to disagree and attempting to chase them away but only for the Fulani to refuse to budge until being refunded their money with interest. https://www.nairaland.com/3079874/enugu-amalla-people-sold-land We also have heard elsewhere that part of the reason for the Enugu attack was that the Igbos were killing and burying them secretly, which came to light after the Fulani discovered bodies of their ppl buried upside down and disembowelled in shallow graves - as culturally vengeful ppl, the Fulani therefore felt obliged to retaliate and the rest is now history. It is a pity that we have poor and often biased journalism were the public are misinformed through lopsided media reporting. We can see how some members of the Igbo host communities were taking advantage of the herdsmen, who in turn after being scammed feel sufficiently provoked to take retaliatory action - and we all know how the Igbos are experts at playing the victims card. Stories to these clashes are often not one sided, there is always the other side, and if examined carefully sometimes you may even find the herdsmen are the actual victims. 56 Likes 5 Shares |

glossy6: You keep repeating the same old references from the comparatively few incidences in the north; like I said before ( if you are not afraid) lets draw a line and start counting fresh new reported crimes from our respective regions between now and the end of the month, and see who would tally the most and therefore ascertain who are more criminally inclined - you can take it or leave it. |

glossy6: You keep missing the point and going round and round in circle and proving nothing. I repeat; I have never claimed in any of my posts that my region is free of crime but condemn the hypocrisy of your ppl for being quick to point at others while in fact they far worse being committed in their own backyard. More the reason why I challenged you to start counting the new reported crimes in our respective regions between now to the end of the month; in order to prove who are more criminally inclined - a challenge which you have clearly rejected out of fear of the inevitable obvious outcome. |

My ppl stop fooling yourself with Nigeria, read the evil planned against you. Kai, this guy sabi lie; how did you evade detection from being found out as non-Muslim by your colleagues if you presumably you do not join them in prayers ( a feat that couldn't have gone unnoticed). If you are truly a soldier writing this lie; then you probably must have been among the cowards that were being overrun by Boko Haram and were consequently court marshalled under Jonathan regime. 1 Like |

How a about settling this in little exercise; lets draw a line from today and start tallying the number of new reported cases and see who would acquire the highest number by the end of the month in the other's backyard. |

Welcomme: You assumed wrongly because your bigoted mindset as usual wouldn't allow you reason logically; while I do not support the killing I equally could not overlook the fact the she may not have been entirely blameless - taking a megaphone and loudly preaching another religion within a Muslim community (in the vincinity of a mosque) is by any standard provocative and confrontational - take it or leave it. Killing is not normal for Islam; it might shock you to know that a recent study had proven that your Bible is even more violent than Quran - take or leave. http://www.businessinsider.com/someone-compared-the-quran-and-the-bible-to-see-which-was-more-violent-2016-2 |
