Inasmuch as the actions of those militants are nefarious & evil, the country has been & still enjoys the much that comes from the region currently. Why would you want the good people in Niger delta who have no business with militancy to be in darkness when the country attains a sustainable energy mix because of the actions of the militants? If everyone should think that way, why is the country rebuilding the north east? Why not let them rot in desolation because of the actions of Boko Haram?? Let us learn to be rational if this country would ever be anything close to working.

Sorry, the ppl of ND have not done anything to show they are not in cahoots with the NDA; they know who they are, where are, and how they operate but are not sharing any intelligence about their activities with the law enforcement agencies; in short they are aiding and abetting the militants - they are as of now therefore also culpable (note the key word being , as of now, meaning temporary).

They are currently holding and serving the rest of Nigeria a lesson on selfishness and non sharing; then why shouldn't they also be the among the first to feel the full brunt of this selfishness; why shouldn't they receive a share of they have been giving Nigerians - i.e. darkness?
Surely. the pickin wey say im mama no go sleep him ma no go sleep.

The supplier has been apprehended but not yet convicted; you should wait for the process to run its course before jumping to conclusion; eventually the addict too would have have his turn - you really need to think things through before rushing to typing senselessly.

That is because the dams supply another area, not yours. That is why we need energy mix. Because of rivers and sun, the northern and central part of the country will use hydro and solar while the south and part of the east will use gas while some other part of the East will use coal. That is energy mix

Its already happening, states with alternative energy sources are being encouraged to generate and contribute to the national grid: Katsina Solar 75 MW, Kano Hydro 13 MW, Lagos ?MW; while others are still in the pipeline at planning stage e.g. Jigawa, Solar etc.

If this continues, we will eventually have the required mix and flexibility where no region either by accident or deliberate sabotage (e.g. NDA) can hold the country to ransom.

As of now I recommend that those ND areas deliberately causing the current shortages should not enjoy from these alternative sources; rather they should enjoy the full brunt of their actions - i.e. darkness.

My question has always been: "why did Fulanis attacked that village?
Even the man claimed that the attackers assembled at another place, yet he knew the village they were going to attack. How did he know? There are many things we're not been told.

Unfortunately the south has monopoly of the press and in the ethno-religious context we are living today, southerners can easily manage the information that reaching us to suit their political agenda; this explains for the many gaps in these stories.

It has even been postulated that some of these attacks attributed to Fulani herdsmen could in fact be committed by other criminals who disguise themselves as Fulanis in order to hide their real identities or even be stage managed (with real victims) to give them a bad name.

Certainly, the latter possibilities may not be too far fetched with regards to the SE attacks considering the IPOB tactics to cause maximum disaffection between ethnic groups in order to achieve their agenda - it is possible they have could stage managed some of these attacks themselves to blame it on the Fulani (your unanswered questions coming to mind).

Get money, get money by all means necessary will always ensure some enter bush no matter how clear and bright main road is!!!

So while some are shouting and crying against this, some are already selling grazing area, imagine the greed and lack of foresight... Mtcheeew.. sad

We are at least now finally getting some insight into the other side of the story; much as the Fulani have been maligned as wanton killers, it should be equally obvious that they wouldn't just wake and start killing ppl without a reason; part of that reason as we can see is that the Igbos have been scamming them, collecting money for grazing or selling them land and later renegading or collecting same under false pretext.

There was even a thread about similar happening where some youths in Amalla LG, Enugu allegedly sold land to the Fulani for as much as 4 million Naira, causing some members of the community to disagree and attempting to chase them away but only for the Fulani to refuse to budge until being refunded their money with interest.
https://www.nairaland.com/3079874/enugu-amalla-people-sold-land

We also have heard elsewhere that part of the reason for the Enugu attack was that the Igbos were killing and burying them secretly, which came to light after the Fulani discovered bodies of their ppl buried upside down and disembowelled in shallow graves - as culturally vengeful ppl, the Fulani therefore felt obliged to retaliate and the rest is now history.

It is a pity that we have poor and often biased journalism were the public are misinformed through lopsided media reporting.
We can see how some members of the Igbo host communities were taking advantage of the herdsmen, who in turn after being scammed feel sufficiently provoked to take retaliatory action - and we all know how the Igbos are experts at playing the victims card.

Stories to these clashes are often not one sided, there is always the other side, and if examined carefully sometimes you may even find the herdsmen are the actual victims.

Check my posts also and you will see that I never exonerated the South, nay Igbos from crimes. And if I have proved nothing to you by now, then there is something that is preventing to from facing reality and that I cannot do much to help you. So deal with it by yourself. What am unwilling to do is sit and watch you condemn others while condoning yours. Am speaking for myself and not others. But to sit with you counting crimes on NL (not all crimes are reported ) is something am unwilling to do because I have better things to do. Whatever you attribute my unwillingness to be dragged into that remains your opinion and your opinion it will be. I have made my myself clear, nobody is a saint, NOBODY.

I cannot continue to argue on the same thing, even if I am jobless at least I can't deny myself sleep just to be counting crimes on NL, yet the ones I drew your attention to does not count. I believe we are not kids

You keep repeating the same old references from the comparatively few incidences in the north; like I said before ( if you are not afraid) lets draw a line and start counting fresh new reported crimes from our respective regions between now and the end of the month, and see who would tally the most and therefore ascertain who are more criminally inclined - you can take it or leave it.

My ppl stop fooling yourself with Nigeria, read the evil planned against you.
SOUTHEAST SHOULD BE CAREFUL
I am a soldier, I will not give my name for the sake of my life . my message is simple, I can't stop myself from letting people understand the danger they are in,in Nigeria (especially those in the southeast),after my fellow soldiers here in southern Kaduna, Kaduna state, yesterday being Sunday 08 march, invaded a church and killed innocent Christian youths guarding their church against suicide bombers from gaining access in to the church compound during their church service. My conscience keeps judging me for not letting people know what I know. I am a christian but here in the military camp, I dare not let them know about this or I will be on the next troop heading to confront Boko Haram without enough rains of ammunition to fight them and certainly will get killed . most of our men deployed to fight Boko Haram are christian soldiers from the eastern and southeastern part of the country ,I cry inside me each time they leave the camp to confront Boko Haram as most of them don't make it back alive and nobody cares to retrieve their body from Boko Haram .messages are set to their families back in the far eastern part of the country that they killed in a car accident and I wonder why their families don't demand for the bodies of their children they claim where involved in a car accident ,what a pity. The reason why I want people to know this ,is not because of all that had happened to Christians all over this country but because of the things they are going to face very soon , I must confess that Christians don't respond to dangers approaching them until they all die , they think that God will come down from heaven to defend their life instantly but that is not true because I am a christian also ,from kano state .Nobody suspect that I am a christian because I am from the North and they think that all Northerners are Muslim but that is not true .The message is that Boko Haram men are all over Nigeria now believe it or not, Boko Haram has also joined ISIS (Islamic State) in the Arab world and I don't know if the christian people understand what that means .150 women recently have been beheaded by ISIS and most of the women where discovered to be pregnant women ,Boko Haram is expected to carry out the same thing since they have pledged allegiance to ISIS, this is just an introduction ,the main message is that 6 years ago , Boko Haram young members joined the Nigeria Defense Academy like ordinary citizens showing interest to gain admission ,join any of the arm force for the defense of the Nation but that was not the reason ,60% of them gained admission and graduated . Recently , that group have been deployed to the eastern part of the country along with few genuine soldiers , their mission is simple and they will carry it out once the order comes . many people may see them as ordinary soldiers but the truth is that 90% of the soldiers in every checkpoint and camps in the eastern part of the country are Boko Haram members in army uniforms ,they are soldiers but their mission is different from others . please my christian brothers be wise . you may be wondering how I got this information , remember I am from the North , the northerners are not considered Christians here even when some of us are.It will interest you to know that many of our soldiers here are working for Boko Haram , not because they like them but because of the money they are been paid by the Boko Haram for every information and attacks the soldier themselves carry against Christians and the Government cannot provide the soldiers with such money . Do not see all Northerners as bad people , some of us are good but it is very difficult to tell so I don't blame anyone that think that we are all the same . For me I know that I will die because the Boko Haram are getting more help and resources than we the soldiers. Please help me to save people that I can not save as soldier by spreading this message to save livesk especially those in the southeast before the order gets to Boko Haram soldiers there . I will be happy in heaven for your good works if I die . I copied it and share with you, please do the same too, wake-up my ppl.

Kai, this guy sabi lie; how did you evade detection from being found out as non-Muslim by your colleagues if you presumably you do not join them in prayers ( a feat that couldn't have gone unnoticed).
If you are truly a soldier writing this lie; then you probably must have been among the cowards that were being overrun by Boko Haram and were consequently court marshalled under Jonathan regime.
