You obviously didn't properly read my post concerning regionalism because, if you did, you would have noticed I inferred that the Sardauna's primary concern was the interest of his ppl in the north; like his counterparts Okpara, Ankintola etc he was a regional head not a statesman; the regions were like small independent countries held together by a weak centre, competing with themselves; they even had their own constitutions, foreign policy etc.

Yes, Sardauna's statement was apt at the time - I am sure most would agree even today that an expatriate is likely to be a better and more trust worthy alternative to an Igbo man; the Sardauna simply chose what was best for his region at that time and history has certainly vindicated him (a typical example being his own protege, Chukwuma Nzeogwu, ending up betraying and killing him).

We are suffering today not from what northerners did in the civil service but from what Ironsi, an Igbo man, did to the civil service and Nigeria as a whole by dismantling the regional system and replacing it with the unitary system of government (those unhappy with the present arrangement especially resource control should therefore blame Ironsi not the north).

The tribe most represented in the civil service is Igbo; in fact a recent research by an NGO confirmed that Anambra benefitted the most.

Yes, if Igbos want the presidency they should present a candidate and support him; but should not sit back and expect other Nigerians to do their job for them; especially if they go about insulting and abusing everybody else as inferior.
This means jettisoning tribal politics and learning how to form bridges and alliances as well as the art of lobbying and compromise - instead of their usual forceful arrogant do or die tactics, because in the long run politics is not only a game of numbers but also one of persuasion.

As for your ethnic origin, well I don't give a toss (though I suspect you are lying - as your sentiments says it all, because you clearly made it an Igbo issue); what is more important to me is the message - which I believe I have addressed sufficiently.

Have you forgotten that your ppl were the ones who started it all:
The first ever coup and selective killing of northern, western and midwestern leaders, sparing their own, resulting in the retaliatory coup and pogrom was started by Igbos.
Your ppl also started the civil war by attacking first - it will be recalled that the FG had sent the police to quell what it then considered a civilian uprising but Ojukwu responded with the full force of the Biafran Army and also following through with the invasion of the Midwest.

Your example of reparation being paid by Germany is clearly on the wrong side of logic because that country lost the war and was openly the aggressor - just like the Igbos, so how could you turn around and expect reparation?

You singled out the Sardauna, faulting his northernisation policy, myopically forgetting that the country was based on regionalism (a federation of states); where each regional premiere was the champion of his region and worked assiduously towards the singular advancement of his ppl - the Sardauna wasn't different from any of his counterparts who were also doing the same thing.
Note: his constituency (as northern premiere) was Northern Region (with its ppl both Christians and Muslims) and NOT the Nigerian State - therefore faulting him in this regard is not only silly but myopic.

His speech was therefore quite apt at the time.
So would you have expected him to have opened his region to Igbo invasion at the expense of his ppl?

You referred to the request for the one minute silence in honour of Adekunle as if it was some sort of abomination; forgetting that Chukwuma Nzeogwu, though an enemy killed in battle and also self confessed killer of the northern premiere, was nonetheless buried in the north (Kaduna) by northern troops with full military honours; Ojukwu (a real war criminal) was pardoned by a northerner (Shagari), allowed to even run for president, and was also buried by the state with full military honours.
Why then do you supposes Adekunle should be denied a similar honour?

As for lack of Igbo leadership opportunities, blame this on your your own ppl: First of all, what is stopping Igbos from fielding a candidate and voting en masse for him? Secondly, how do Igbos expect to play tribal politics while expecting national acceptance - after they must have insulted and abused everybody else who could have voted for them; and also after putting all their eggs in the same basket, in a regional party APGA with no national coverage? Thirdly, why would they want Biafra and rule the country at the same time - isn't that double standard?

In either case, it is likely that the pilot ejected, sustained an injury during landing and was caught by BH, who used his beheading and images of the plane wreckage to advance their propaganda.

My instinct tells me that this is a more likely scenario (i.e. the pilot ejected in enemy territory, was caught and beheaded) rather than they shot the aircraft - the fact that the whereabouts of the co-pilot is still unknown and the minimal amount of wreckage without signs of burning are suggestive to me that BH may have stumbled upon this opportunity (and are milking it for all its worth) rather incurred it themselves.

The answer to your first question is NONE because none would be stewpid enough to engage a war they obviously couldn't win - except you, daft Igbos.
