onuman: But Naira will eventually hit N1000=$1. In 2015, Muhammadu Buhari promised that if he was made president of Nigeria, he would make N1=$1. Islamists of Nigeria voted Buhari president. The same Islamists would have voted for president Buhari if he went for 3rd term. But because Buhari placed Hashim Shettima to succeed him by using old and frail Tinubu as cover president, the same Islamists voted APC. Rest of Nigeria's voters rejected APC on 25th February presidential election, but the Islamists led by the INEC Chairman STOLE the presidential election. That one too was a fake news from unscrupulous elements amongst us. Show us where he promised to make $1=N1. Real proof o. No be all this online blogs. Video of where he said or official memo he released to this effect. Tam David West granted one interview then about how Buhari would perform but he didn’t even mention that $1 will equal N1. You people easily believe in whatever you read online and it’s making you heartbroken when things don’t turn out the way you have expected it. |

Wodu89: The bigger enemy isn't subsidy , but lack of management and control of subsidy payments because of infalted invoices.
The citizenry looses alot with the removal of subsidy payments because in this clime, salaries do not increase readily, meaning purchasing power becomes more and more difficult with this economic overhaul.
Maintaining the subsidy is to the benefit of the average citizen. It's managing the invoicing system that's the problem. We can have metered and regulated suslbsidy payment in place with FG placing caps on subsidy payment and then hedging the excesses against Government backed bonds, so short term economic traction is cushioned by long-term macrofinances of the court ey.
If invoicing and lack of accountability is the issue with feul subsidy, then why don't we grant licensing that pays subsidy payments based on metered importation allowance?
When would Nigeria let thinking people lead ? When !
The same 2012 problem is repeating itself. Sensationalism. Assuming that the subsidy only implies people stealing,.forgetting or not even considering it's benefits.
The average minimum wage of a worker can't mean anything in a post subsidized feul economy.
Increase in food prices, Housing, transportation, lifestyle all at once without corresponding rise in salary payments is nothing short of a disaster. Be it Peter Obi, Tinubu, Atiku subsidy removal must be planned and strategized before actualized
In the end, the bigger enemy is the Hausa Fulani hegemony who setup cabals in all state instructions to run them down so private ones are setup to mop up the national treasury. Nigerian refineries and Dangote is typical
If Hausa and Fulani allowed our refineries worked like NLNG, we wouldn't be talking subsidy removal or Dangote
The focus must be maintained. For Nigeria to work, Hausa Fulani hegemony has to die Give it a few months. Everything will adjust commensurately. Nobody will force anybody to adjust prices of things. Salaries would be adjusted at both private and public institutions. |

Racoon: Same way when the past regime of President Goodluck Jonathan wanted to remove and rid Nigeria of this economic monster 13 years ago, but all you demons in the APC vehemently opposed him only to perpetuate the same fraudulent fuel subsidy then lied of removing it again and again. God punish you. Bunch of fucktards and retards. Jonah just paid lip service. He didn’t have the balls to remove it. Why didn’t he go ahead when he was opposed, if he was really serious? Jonah still dey alive. He should oppose the current government now on subsidy and let’s see if APC will listen. When Buhari was ready, he didn’t budget for it. Why did Jonah keep budgeting for subsidy and paying for it till he left, if he was serious? In politics, you should know that for whatever you do or want to do, your opposition will rise against it. It is left for you to stand your ground if you are now serious. Not even Obj was serious. Assuming from Obj till Buhari era, they have been removing 4% of the subsidy per annum, what would have remained by now won’t be up to 30% of it. They were all benefiting from it. |

This is what we want.
Please help Benue to improve on her farming systems. Please go to the Netherlands and bring in people, material, and equipment to help revolutionize farming and animal husbandry in Benue State.
Then look for one independent power project like half of that of Dangote refinery for the state.
Please work on road too. Solid roads. Not all this yeye rubble they pour and they call it asphalt. With good and meaningful signage.
Enforce environmental sanitation and have better sewage management system across the state.
Come beef up security of the state. That’s when indigenes can enjoy their government and agro-processing companies can come. |

Water that indigenes have not seen to drink and bath. That’s what one is wasting away, all in the name of beautification.
Anyways, let’s wait for 6 months and see if the fountain would still be functioning.
Misplaced priority.
State governors have left water generation for FG, which is, in itself, in comatose.
Everybody now sinks boreholes closer to their septic tanks. No wonder typhoid and other communicable diseases are common.
In the past, we used to have national water projects being handled by companies like Costain etc.
States impoverish its people through stealing of funds and carrying out wishy-washy projects - all in the name of infrastructure. |

linearity: PMS traders don’t go to the aboki on the street to exchange their dollars, it is that same CBN that give then dollars at the official rate, how would this help the common man? Or are you saying CBN or commercial bank will start selling dollars at the official rate to all Tom, Dick & Harry?
Nigeria external debt profile is the major contributor of the hike in dollar, by next year the amount to service Nigeria debt with current projections would be equal to revenue generated.
Because of our debts and unsustainable economic projects, businesses and people are afraid to store their values and wealth in Naira, because they can lose significant value overnight.
Dangote is not a fool, he is not going to be storing his values and wealth in Naira either.
Look to how Dangote have ran Dangote Cement that have impoverished Nigerians for clues on how he will run his refinery. His goal is not to do charity work in Nigeria, it is to make money. But the dollars that CBN/FGN used to give to fuel importers at ‘official rate’ as you have said will no longer be given to them at all. Any revenue from sale of crude oil, in foreign currencies, by our FGN will now be for their own use. We don’t even want to know what Dangote will do with whatever money he could make from the sale of his refined oil. What we are interested in is the saving the FGN will make on money being spent on fuel importation. And this is the point a lot of people are missing which makes them thinking people are looking up to Dangote to sell at cheaper prices. |
