Didn’t know you have even pointed it out.

There should be a way our institutions can scan be checking students’ results, quickly, before they are being considered for admission.

Our examination bodies should give schools/institutions access to result portals.

I am certain that a lot of Nigerians would have used means like this to gain admission and even graduate.

There’s no exam in Nigerian schools that they don’t help them out. Even the ‘Junior WAEC’ that they are writing currently is being manipulated. External Supervisors are paid and they allow the schools to help them solve those questions.

So, ignore her Common Entrance result.

No.

No.

No.

I am not even going to try to unpack what you have in your first 3 paragraphs. All I will say is that I took the advice in your 4th paragraph and watched the video more closely - several times. Perhaps I shouldn't have.

There were:

At least 41 security vehicles (Prados, Hiluxes, Corollas, Land Cruisers, Nissan Frontiers, etc.) with DSS, police and military personnel on board, clearly visible...

At least 10 Toyota Hiace and Toyota Coaster buses...and at least 3 Marco Polo buses (popularly called luxurious buses)...

At least 20 top of the range (some of them probably armoured) Toyota Land Cruisers (V6 & V8 engines) and Lexus LX 570 sport utility vehicles. Some of these vehicles are clearly the official vehicles of service chiefs and/or the IGP...

A least 5 other luxury vehicles (Mercedes Benz Gelandewagen & ML 350, Range Rover Vogue, GMC Denali/Yukon, etc)...

At least 2 outriders on high end motorbikes...

And so on.

Please keep in mind that the clip doesn't capture the convoy from the very beginning.

The overwhelming majority of the vehicles in this clip ARE being funded from the public purse and the video shows one of the key reasons why Nigeria is poor. I have nothing but pity for the fellow whose voice can be heard over and over, urging "jagaban" on. If only he knew...undecided

With what I have seen here, the Tinubu administration is going to fail and it is going to fail hard.

Good day.
Thanks for your observations. As I have said earlier: it’s too early to judge. The convoy you saw are from, mostly, southwest governors and politicians. They are not from FG. These people too use DSS officials.
So, it is their states’ treasury that is funding this but not the FG.

Let’s watch out for Tinubu’s official trips till the end of the year to other regions in Nigeria other than Southwest and Northeast (where the VP hails) and see the number of convoy he has.

I am sure all those you saw in last video could not drive by road down to Ogun and Lagos all the way from Abuja. Otherwise, we would have seen their videos as they drove from Abuja through Kogi, Ondo/Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo.

The video only surfaced in Ogun and Lagos, which could mean that they assembled in these states.

But you can’t read 6,000 posts in a day. Do you know how much time it will take you to read 6,000 posts? If it takes you an average of 20 seconds to read a post, that means you need an average of 33 hours (out of 24hrs 😁) in a day to finish reading 6,000 posts.
Won’t you do another thing throughout the day, other than reading Twitter posts?

Elon wants to make more money from Twitter by forcing users to register. If you are registered and not verified, he still sells your data and your algorithm of Twitter usage who would use it to target you for their own purposes.

I mentioned 40 vehicle convoys in the post you quoted on this thread. I was surprised by how prescient that comment turned out to be - barely 2 weeks later, the man was in the news for (by some accounts) a 120 vehicle convoy - after landing in Lagos for Sallah. undecided

The dispute by supporters and critics over how many of the vehicles were for the presidential motorcade is irrelevant. That convoy had governors, the NSA, ministers, party big wigs etc. The point is that the vehicle costs, security and admin personnel costs, fuel costs, maintenance & logistics costs etc. will still come from the public purse. This is one of the key reasons why Nigeria is poor.

Some wise person said you can't give what you don't have. Nigeria's current president is no different from his predecessors - he simply lacks the personal depth of character to lead by example in these difficult times. He is a true believer in the "rules for thee but not for me" school. While he continues to dismantle social safety nets for the most vulnerable, not a kobo (and I mean not one kobo) will be shaved off the perks that Nigeria's public sector Brahmins consider to be theirs by right.

Business as usual.
Honestly, I have not watched the video for up to 20 seconds but I guess what you saw was just a one-off thing. Those entourage you saw were not from presidential fleet. They were full of South-west political class’ vehicles and those of lobbyists and well wishers.

Let’s leave sentiment out of it, how long do you think a 120-convoy would be each time a president is going? That was to tell you that what you saw on that clip was like an home-coming welcome party for their ‘son’ and to ‘pepper’ APC’s perceived enemies - both at regional and national levels.

I repeat it, all those vehicles were not from presidential fleet. Most of them are from Southwest governors, senators etc.
south-west has 9 states, when Kwara and Kogi are included.

One check we way carry out is to watch, closely, plate numbers of those vehicles. They do not carry presidency’s plate numbers.
You can check out some of them on https://askniid.org/verifypolicy.aspx , to know know more about the vehicle’s insurance policy.

Who knows; Tinubu’s loyalists may want to break Obasanjo’s records or break his backbone by arranging such convoy to spike him because I heard Tinubu was in Egba land but he didn’t visit OBJ.

I still maintain my stand: let’s watch Tinubu more closely. It is too early. It takes up to a year and a half before you can start assessing or comparing a president’s performances.

He just inherited a very large office and complex country. He would first of all use what he meets on ground before fine-tuning things.

Same thing in our police force.

Nigeria doesn’t need army at all. We should just face how to develop and reach the level of UAE or Qatar and be enjoying our lives.

No African country is threatening us. And we don’t have capacity to defeat any European or American countries in wars. Then why do we need the army again?

Just revamp our police - merge them with customs, naval and immigration under one unit and one head, one uniform but with different working tools. Pay them well, train them and invest seriously in IT and sophistications, rebuild all their station to the most simple and modern ones. The respect will come back.

Then we are good to go.

Bro,
As much as I don't like unnecessary expenses and extras, I will have to disagree with you on this matter.

In other countries like the one's you mentioned, the security detail with president's are insane, however they are more discreet.

For example, when the US president is within an area, there is a 200m square security perimeter within the location of the president, especially after what happened to JFK. Infact, the pentagon would have a direct satellite coverage of the area, highly trained CIA agents would be on the loose in strategic locations (including snipers)and in some cases there would be drones locked on the location... asides his numerous bodyguards.

Security is Security worldwide, however its the discretion of the Security that matters.
They even have network jammers that can disrupt enemies communication systems.
PoliticsRe: Soldiers Spotted On Building Guarding President Tinubu At Eid Ground (video) by MeineMutter:

The leaders of those countries you listed are among the most protected in the world.

The secret Agents that protects them are better trained and have more security clearance than any soldier.

The cost of the technology and sophisticated machinery they deploys to protect their president can bankrupt Nigeria's economy.

The Plane that carries USA president "Airforce one" can buy the entire Nigeria presidential convoys 1000 times over, there is even a rumour that it can protect against nuclear weapons.

And for the buses you mentioned, how many buses? Symbolic buses lasan. Only a few Eastern transport companies buses were used to deceive Nigerians into believing the fund from excess crude oil account was used to buy buses. Did you see any of the buses after 3 month’s?
Even if you didn’t move closer to the back window of those few buses, you wouldn’t know anything like SURE-P was inscribed on them.

Excess crude fund that GEJ was withdrawing secretly. States too sure FG and the court ruled that the money should be shared because the fund was supposed to go to the normal Federation Account but not fraudulently opened Excess Crude Account.

Even madam o ge gele (Okonjo Iweala) attested to it that GEJ government didn’t have the will you save.
