This is your electoral act, read it very well brother: Nigeria is not a jungle or banana republic where someone can just because of his privileged position allow himself to be used to spit on our constitution and laws, electoral act clearly states that there will be electronic transmission of results. And for those saying that 25% is not required in FCT, that' it should be treated as a State, should go and read the electoral act and see how it separates FCT from other states,: It always use these phrases, States and the FCT, we are watching, Mr return the money given to you to conduct this smam and hand yourself over to DSS to be prosecuted Furthermore, the new Act provides for electronic transmission of election results in accordance with the procedure determined by the Commission.[28]. That’s why he went to court. Look at all frivolous evidences a presidential hopeful is presenting in court. Even a 100 Level Law student cannot present such in any mock law simulation/trial - blurred results sheets, one divorced, frustrated IJ baby called Ijeoma, bringing TV to courtroom to replay news already cast about election, etc. Obi should have packed all his followers to court as witnesses then, so that we can know his serious. All SANs he is parading are C-list SANs. They haven’t appeared or won any serious case at Appeal or Supreme Court levels. If you see them talk after court proceedings, that’s when you would know they are jittery and are aware of blunders they have committed in courts. They talk like learner lawyers. Family › Re: I Stood Up To My Father by MeineMutter: 2:16pm On Jun 16, 2023 |
DamianDd: My dad is a really good guy, I love him so much and he's gentle most times. Though he gets angry sometimes but he's reasonable about everything he does.
I came home 11:30 which is very late and I knew that and I even hated it too that I came home this late so I was trying to avoid him even when he asked to come to his room because I had a gut feeling that things won't gi right.
But I ended up going to get my charger that was with him, then for the first 5 minutes in he was making sense about why I came home late and I was agreeing to it that it's true
Then all of a sudden he starts saying "what will people think?" "Neighbors are watching" "they'll start saying god forbid, like father like son" "I nor fit let my pikin be like this boy" "which kind family be this, see when their son dey come house?" "People are watching, people are judging" and even more words and it started getting annoying to me, then he said they will say "see when this small pikin dey come house"
It was at that moment that I shut it down, I've never been that way to him but it was so infuriating, I told him I'm not a child I'm 18 which is legal age, I work for my money, I make 50k to 300k a month on my own; no neighbors give me food when I'm hungry, the landlord doesn't clean my eyes when they hurt from viewing my phone too much so I don't give a Bleep what they think of me. I told him to not put all those orientations in my head because it affected me alot when I was younger and it made me timid and shy and scared of being myself or having different opinions and that's what I'm trying to fix in myself and my mindset now.
What I do feel bad about is last year I paid for the house rent and packing when I had alot of money, I brought it up when I was talking to him and said "I paid for this house with my own money so who is landlord or the neighbors for me to be sacred to come in and out of my own home, I know what I did is wrong and I'm sorry but don't put those bad thoughts in my head" I shouldn't have said that though by bringing up what I did for family. He only called me back and said "don't worry I won't talk to you anymore until I use my own money to pay for the house next time" I didn't say anything because i know I was wrong and nothing good would come out of talking back, I just left his room.
What's your thoughts on the matter? Man. You were wrong! Please, apologize to him. It’s the financial freedom you have that’s making you to think your ‘dad’s mouth is smelling’. Learn how to manage elders. I am certain when you grow up, you too would want to ‘condition’ some of your children l, as one of your hailers has said here and your child/children would see things differently. Will you be happy to see your children stand up to you and shout on you? Understand his point of argument and, humanly possible, let him see the reasons while you were late to come home. |

PapaNnamdi: always have an extra ball joint in your boot,
that's all, the eod is a strong lad, only ball joint issue He should even change them every 1.5years whether or not they pull. Our erosion water, sand and bad roads cause the joints to pull out quickly. Erosion water washes the grease easily and sands grind the balls, causing the balls to quickly reduce in size and making them to fall off or pull out easily. OP should also mind how he turns the steering, especially on rough roads. I’d be does any how yagayaga with the steering on rough road, or turning it anyhow or sharply, tires while the tires are still gripped by the rough road causes the ball joints to pull out forcefully. |

Alwaysachick: How will this benefit the ordinary Nigerian, will cost of living reduce? Yes. Cost of living will reduce. Importers will be able to import more for less. They will be able to import quality things, instead of the inferior we are used to. It is only people living in diaspora that will not like this because any foreign currencies they remit back to Nigeria will fetch them lesser Naira and if things continue like that for close to 5 years, it will make less sense to travel abroad and hustle. |

But the physical reality on ground is 761 per dollar's That’s black market rate. That doesn’t affect decision making of investors and exporters/importers who use the officer exchange window. franchasofficia: How did they factored them in?
Have our local FG owned refineries started operation?
Petrol import alone consumes more than 50% of Nigeria's FX. If we are still importing petrol, CBN will continue to run short of FX until we stop petrol importation completely and also boost our Agricultural sector to start exporting more.
More than 80% of containers that bring in goods into Nigeria go back to their country of origin or port of loading empty, its a sign of a dead national economy. We must regig and revamp our export, especially agro export which is the only thing we can export after crude oil to solve our FX shortage crises.
Failure to solve our low FX inflow while floating the USD to depend on free market demand and supply will only lead to uncontrolled crash of naira to maybe 1000 to 1 USD if not more in the coming weeks or months The high dollar to Naira rate is what will force us to look inward and manufacture locally, because importing goods would be too expensive. |

They still need to amend and fine-tune the law. It’s workability is not 100% ok, especially on: The guarantor; The verifiers; The repayment plan.
How can you be deducting from the guarantor? Will the student be paying the guarantor too every month?
Are we sure graduates will get job after 2 years?
What’s the maximum number of years you have to pay back the loan?
For doctors, it is easy for them to get job and start paying back. What of those that study BAM BAM courses? And all those philosophy, psychology, inter-rel, languages etc?
Those are courses that don’t já employment on time unless you know the right lever(s) to pull.
I feel repayment has to be a direct debit from all accounts of the student linked to that loan by his or her NUBAN and NIN and also to his or her parents’ NUBAN and NIN (if he or she has any).
If a guarantor is a Level 12 officer, it means he or she cannot guarantee more than one student, even if he has more than one children or relative who want to access such loan.
Our verifiers are, by default, corrupt. They will exhibit this when verifying too and will exploit students (both materials and otherwise) and parents and abuse the system.
The education bank should be a Plc or a Ltd company. Otherwise, it will go moribund quickly because of mismanagement by government officials.
The system has to be automated and made easy for tracking of applications by applicants, transparently. We don’t want anybody to tell us he is working on our file and meanwhile he is not.
Applicants should be able to know and get notifications on what other info or documents or clarifications are required from applicants.
In short, they should make it less of human contact to reduce corruption.
They should not disburse cash to students and expect the student to pay the cash back as tuition again. Instead, it should just be automatic payment of tuition fees from the bank to the institution.
There should be a harmonized portal where the bank can check transcript and academic performance or status of student to know which one has been expelled or rusticated or which one has dropped out of school so as not to keep paying money to the institution in a wasteful manner.
I am afraid; those in charge of the student loan at banks and schools could turn it to political affairs or tribal things or religious matters.
We have a lot to get right here before deploying it.
May be we need to go and study how advanced countries did their own and then adapt it to our own local situations. |

Those illiterates commenting up who want to look like oyinbo do not know it's because of the toxic okirikas that textile industry collapsed in Nigeria.
Textile industry used to be the largest employer of labour in Nigeria. Millions of jobs have been lost because of trade liberalization agenda that allow all rubish from other countries to be dumbed into Nigeria.
If we produce and sew almost all we wear here we would enjoy these benefits among others:
1. Millions of jobs lost will be recreated
2. Most youth will be gainfully employed and thus reduce crime especially insurgency in the North
3. Naira will gain strength
4. Health hazard as a result of wearing toxic clothese will be averted.
5, Nigerian fashion brands will grow
Hope those who want to eat their tomorrow today will understand. Even those oyibo designers will come and establish their sewing factories in Nigeria. Bangladeshi and Vietnam are good examples. All known top brands go their to sew. Our local Semiu tailors sef go sell. |
