Jobs/Vacancies › Creating A Job For Yourself(is It Really Easy) ? by Meldrick(op): 3:43pm On Nov 20, 2007
A lot goes through my mind when people advise that as a graduate you should stop the search for a job and create one for your self. A lot of our so-called big men keep telling the story of how they began with little when there was no job until they got to their present position. Dangote and El-Rufai told that story but I refuse to believe them. First you most consider their era and the present era. How would a graduate, who does not know where the next meal is coming from start? What is he starting with? There must be an initial capital. Our government should create a more friendly environment for graduates and stop their irritating stories.
Christianity Etc › Re: Which One Is Better? Deeper Life, Redeem, Winners Chapel. by Meldrick(m): 2:30pm On Nov 20, 2007
I really don't understand if u asked this question because u want to know or u want to have fun or , ? but if you are a Christian, you should know that your denomination does not matter but your personnal reationship with God. Don't forget, "WE ARE ONE BODY IN CHRIST". No man has the right to start judging or making comparisons with annoited men of God. I advise you continue worshipping God, and forget those questions.
Career › Re: Joining The Military: Solution To Unemployment? by Meldrick(m): 1:21pm On Nov 20, 2007
I had the mind of joining the Navy just because I don't have a job but pilot has really put a lot of fear in me. The truth is that immediately after the training you are made comfortable with a car and other benefits and just like my friend always say, any business you establish as a military personnel is secured because even when you retire your businesses are protected. Iam confused, d situation in the country makes one deviate from his original plan.

Christianity Etc › Shiloh 2007( Be Expectant) by Meldrick(op): 3:13pm On Nov 19, 2007
Shiloh keeps off from December 11th to 15th 2007 at the Faith tabernacle(aka Winners Chapel) with Bishop Oyedepo and other ministers. The theme is MORE THAN CONQUERORS. I want to advise you not to miss it for any reason. If individuals come from other countries to be part of this life time encounter, you should not miss it cos you are in Nigeria. Come full of expectations and be sure that GOD will be there just for you.
TV/Movies › Re: Comparing DSTV And HiTV by Meldrick(m): 2:59pm On Nov 19, 2007
I must give kudos to hitv and encourage them because they just came out and I sincere,y believe that in 5 years time they'll be a force to reckon with. Foreigners and Mulinationals have one basic mission and that is exploitation. They are not out to better or assist the average Nigerian. Please let's be patriotic because the average American will prefer their products to any other product in the world no matter the standard. South Africans are begginning to copy the Americans. DO NOT BAD MOUTH NIGERIA

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Sterling Bank Cv Colection by Meldrick(m): 11:18am On Nov 19, 2007
Who is this ill-mannered xammy or what does he call his name? I thought this column was for graduates with refined attitudes. Please go learn some manners or it shows all your years in the University was a waste.

Jobs/Vacancies › Graduates Have Been Rubbished by Meldrick(op): 6:03pm On Nov 03, 2007
Have you observed how companies especially Insurance companies frustrate graduates. They are ready to employ you no matter your degree and make you a marketer. The painful thing is that they have no salary for you. You are meant to keep trecking the streets of lagos all in the name of selling their policies and waiting for commission. My friend confessed that  the soul of his shoe was badly eaten up and his collar is split in two from sweat. NO SALARY. That kind of job is meant for secondary school leavers. The people making the money sit in the office waiting for graduates to kill hemselves in the sun. IT'S A PITY
Jobs/Vacancies › Fraudulent Job Agents(beware) by Meldrick(op): 5:03pm On Nov 03, 2007
I begin to wonder why men blur their conscience and fraud is gradually given prominence even by the print media. Some thieves all in the name of job agents place adverts on the pages of the paper advertising jobs and on getting there they try to extort you. I applied for a job vacancy and was sent a text to come an interview with 1500 naira and a passport. Only God knows how many people they will send that text and collect 1500 naira from and the painful thing is that a group of rogues will pay for a venue or an office and start conducting intervies. They are so much in town. Please beware of them.Every tuesday and thursday they keep advertising the same position.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Job Oppotunity:act Fast by Meldrick(m): 12:03pm On Sep 21, 2007
Is this an evidence of joblessness. It is not everything you joke with.I think this is a column for serious minded people who are job seekers or intend posting a job.
