I finally had my passport request letter yesterday. I submitted my application on 19 June. I applied using the new portal. Since the portal only requested for a copy of my passport, I didn't attach any other supporting documentation (because I have a valid US visa).
No bank statements
No employment reference letter
No payslips
No LOE
No nothing.
I saw someone here on Nairaland with the same experience and that's why I also confidently submitted.

Use sterling bank card , it works . I think it has to do with dollar ban on some bank naira cards

Facing same issue. The page keeps telling me that it cannot charge the card because it has not been enrolled in 3D secured payments. Tried with 3 bank cards, same thing. I eventually called the banks and they confirmed the cards are 3D secured. Called VFS and they do not have any solution or alternative. The VFS agents are even advising against using the bank transfer option because that has issues as well.

I know of France , which is just photocopy and I don’t think any embassy will collect original of land or house documents

Me and my daughter got September, two others got October , the last one got for November because her passport came out late and I called vfs and they said we can go in at the earliest date since we are all bearing same surname and also a family

As long as bearing the same surname , that’s what I was told and it worked when we all went in on the earliest date

I don’t know if it can work for an individual but worked as a family because of same surname

I just used AF/KLM to the UK with a valid schengen and no stamps.

Generally, you get stamped upon entry to the country and not during transit. The visa validity is checked however at the Nigerian airport before boarding, as well as the transit hub.

She will face no issues as long as she is only transiting and not leaving the terminals of the airport.

Okay, she might not get stamped on transit, I'm not sure of that since UK brexit but before now is not required. However if is schengen country she wouldn't be stamp untill she gets to her final destination for the entry stamp.

I thought you have travel experience. Yes by the immigration on your arrival at the airport , make sure you hold your returns tickets in your hand it will be ask by immigration officer

Most countries will not stamp your passport if you are transiting through their country’s airport since you won’t be entering their country. Your passport might be stamped if the terminals of the airport are not connected to each other.

Your passport will be stamped when you arrived to your final destination.

The appointment dates were also different though frequent

Two people had appointment date in September, one in October and one in November and we did biometrics on the earliest date which is September that’s mine as the person who’s the frequent traveller

You can transit through any of the Schengen countries if you have a valid tourist or transit visa from any of the Schengen countries. You can't use your visa before the valid date written on the visa sticker.

I have tourist visa already , I think it’s best to use another airline to avoid them stamping it and can’t use it to go to France
