PoliticsRe: Naira "Appreciation": Why Nigerians Should Not Celebrate by menxer: 1:00am On Aug 05, 2015
Nigeria, as said, is an import dependent economy, what's your point asking such a question?

chloee:
Do you have a business that depends on import?
PoliticsRe: Naira "Appreciation": Why Nigerians Should Not Celebrate by menxer: 10:17pm On Aug 04, 2015
there is something about all these pro-barcanista arguments that I don't understand, is it the BDC or CBN that should control/decide what happens to our currency, short, medium or long term?

we cannot/should not let the fate of our currency depend on pleasing DOM account holders, if you cannot use the official windows offered by CBN to do your business transactions, pack/park well.

FamilyRe: Husband Complains That His Wife Always Purchase Food Outside For The Family by menxer: 9:45am On Aug 03, 2015
we are on the same page bro! you just added fridge to the mix. grin

Dragonking:
Buying the food outside once in a while is not the issue, the issue is when the wife has turned it to a norm even on weekends.. What stops the woman from cooking on weekends and stocking it up in the fridge? If she does so, there won't be an issue as the man can simply go to the fridge and warm his food...shikena! But women of today wants the man to be the one cooking.
PoliticsRe: War Against Money Laundering: Banks, PDP Kick Against Cbn’s Policy by menxer: 9:11am On Aug 03, 2015
this goes to show that when the head is 'correct' with political will power, the body moves gracefully.

Is the CBN Governor just appointed?
why did he not implement this policy when GEJ was on seat?
Now he is giving glory to PMB

kaeforum:
why do you need a do account to do foreign transactions when banking is universal, you can conduct transactions with any country in the world , you dont need to have their currency to do this.

Dont you know that this domi accounts are responsible for depleting our foreign reserves, only criminals and looters need these dom accounts to stash their ill-gotten gains.
no mind them! I do online transactions in dollars and they charge my Naira mastercard , why all the noise if 'they' don't have any illegal intentions?

LouisVanGaal:
Later they would come and be mocking the exchange rate conversion btw a dollar and naira..now something concrete is about to be done..they are kicking against it..
PDP would mistakenly KICK the BUCKET very soon..if they continue with their 'blind' kicking against everything in this admin
whoever that kicks against any policy that is meant to move Nigerians, not just the cabal, forward may as well kick a land mine. grin
FamilyRe: Husband Complains That His Wife Always Purchase Food Outside For The Family by menxer: 7:03am On Aug 03, 2015
you will find reasons to side either the man or the woman but striking a balance is vital, the woman should not make the husband feel she is incapable of cooking for the house while he should help fill in when she is obviously tired, buying food outside once in a while is OK. IMO

I cannot take credit for the revival of our refiineries - President Buhari

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttD5Tr-c9fQ
I believe he said that because he knew/knows that nothing was actually wrong with the refineries, and I had the same belief all along.

what baffles me is how importing refined petrol (thereby boosting foreign economies) is better for Nigeria (FG) than local production.

@op thanks for the write up, maybe wailers will find a little solace.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Criticism Of Religion Is Important In Contemporary Africa by menxer: 5:02pm On Jul 28, 2015
KJV: Romans 12:2
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

is it necessary to renew our minds if the thoughts/idea(l)s held are serving us well?

is it possible to renew our thoughts without examining it critically for its merits and demerits?

how can we know the "perfect will of God" when we refuse to criticize/examine the thoughts (doctrines and dogmas) that we hold?

An un-examined thought-life is not worth living...
Christianity EtcRe: Why Criticism Of Religion Is Important In Contemporary Africa by menxer:
thumps up!
I love the word "Endarkenment".
it captures what is going on in our religious sphere.

why do we preach "freedom for the captives "
only to hold people captive to church/religious dogma and doctrines?

I always tell anyone who cares to hear that the hardest thing to do is criticize ones religious belief system.
Try it...

PoliticsRe: Senate Crisis: NASS Clerk Faces Trial As Police Establish Forgery by menxer: 8:45am On Jul 26, 2015
See what years of mediocre thinking and selfish impunity has done to our national psyche. people are here trying to disprove a case of forgery that is instituted by the police, what are we even thinking? is it because the forgery benefits our kinsmen in the NASS?

Nigeria, with our level of religious "fanaticism" cannot see this evil in broad day light?
Just imagine a Nigerian being the clerk in Heaven.... grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
