ifenes: Marriage is what we have all be taught to be in,not really what we yearn for. The Soul yearns for happiness even when religion and traditional beliefs weighs it down. OP doesn't have to stay in a marriage that doesn't make him happy. Be happy, that's what life is all about. It can be difficult and you might lose a lot but why stay unhappy? The only catch is aligning the happiness of three people: husband, wife & children; That is why it is said "the urge for unity stifles variety, yet "variety is the spice of life" |

Loving in marriage is not a 100m race.
Keep the side chick till the attraction wears off, but hold your family with a firm hand.
The street is littered with too many broken homes, don't add yours to the mix. |

Joagbaje: And what problem do you have with fleecing the flock . its for the good of the flock to be fleeced. None! Just that the flock should be told, point blank, they about to be fleeced, not sugar coating it with "in the name of or for God." That way the sheeple will willingly consent to and knows fleecing is going on for the greater good of the shepherd and grows more fleece. |

Hhhhhmmmmm
Submission by the woman means submitting the cookie jar (especially) for the man to do as he pleases with it.
Love by the man means not abusing the woman before, during or after taking his fill of the cookies, in this case.
Either one can come first it doesn't matter. |

KingEbukasBlog: Isn't it said in the bible that nature serves as evidence by God ? The deists who acknowledge the existence of God did so not by mere believing or blind faith but by science , observation , logic and reasoning .
Of course some unknown natural phenomena then were prescribed as actions of gods and religions were developed due to ghis false perception . It does not in any preclude the existence of God .
Its like saying that discovering your mistaken belief that a conversation with AI Siri with your apple device was a conversation with Tim Cook means that apple devices were not designed but a product of random unguided mechanical processes and Tim Cook does not exist .
Makes no sense right ? If you would understand God is beyond the purview of religion then these things wont be beyond your ken . If God is beyond the "purview" of religion, what are you even arguing for? If someone brings up aspects of God beyond the "purview" of religion, you will call the person an atheist. |

lagostokd: Every child of God knows fully well that it is not right to procreate outside marriage.
Are you saying that Jesus, David, and Solomon were born out of wedlock? I won't want you to derail this thread with you atheism submissions. Stick to the purpose of this thread which is answering questions about marriage in heaven as believed in Islam and Jesus's teaching on the subject You think calling me an atheist will add substance to your argument? I am not a Sheeple to be cowed by such vituperations. The truth still remains Jesus was born out of wedlock. Was Joseph the biological father of Jesus? If God fathered Jesus, was God married to Mary? You are asking questions yet you are afraid of the answers you will get, you can't control all the variables in the equation and still ask questions, it does not make sense. As above so below. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Will There Be Marriage In Heaven? by menxer: 12:53pm On Apr 30, 2017 |
lagostokd: You need to understand the purpose of marriage as designed by God.
The primary purpose of marriage is fellowship, companionship, mutual help and comfort.
The other objective of marriage is procreation - to raise godly children.
If you understand the above points, you will agree that God doesn't need to be 'married' literally So man can't achieve the above stated primary purpose and objectives without marriage? So why do you think man needs to be married "literally?" Was Jesus born in wedlock? Was David or Solomon born in wedlock? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Introducing Implicit Theism : So You Think We Were Born As Atheists ? by menxer: 11:23am On Apr 30, 2017 |
Another atheist George Smith in 1979 introduced two new concepts of atheism : implicit atheism and explicit theism . He defined implicit atheism as the "the absence of theistic belief without a conscious rejection of it" and explicit atheism as "the absence of theistic belief due to a conscious rejection of it."
Implicit theism can be defined as the presence of theistic belief due to our innate tendencies without consciously rejecting it . This then makes babies though they are being born with a tabula rasa and have no idea of God implicit theists . @bolded, those are two sides of the same coin. What this OP failed to bring into the equation is the fact that feral children don't exhibit any innate God knowledge or belief. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Couples Attending Different Churches: Word For You by menxer: 10:53am On Apr 30, 2017*. Modified: 4:54pm On Apr 30, 2017 |
lightblazingnow: Have you ever seen husband and wife attending different churches? I have. And it's the beginning of divorce. First of all couples need to realise that marriage is unity of the body. They have become one and none should divide them, not even a church membership.
The way and manner membership of divers churches is getting into the lives and marriages of several families in Nigeria and the world is alarming. Take for instance the marriage of one of the greatest preachers of our time pastor Chris of Christ Embassy, how his marriage hit the rock because of ignorance. He thought he was serving the living God and separated with his wife physically.
He sent her to the UK and he stayed in south Africa, traveling the world without her in the end you heard the pains of the woman. She felt she is not having enough of the husband attention and caring. She even accused him of adultery which personally I don't believe such ever happened. I repeat pastor Chris whom I know and have met several times would never even contemplate of such.
The point I am trying to make is, stop attending different churches husband and wife. If you are a pastor and you have branches, stay with your wife or husband in the same place. Hear the same message, pray the same prayer points and stay together. No man should divide them.
Just an advice oo. If you have any contrary view let me know. @bolded, the Pastor Chris whom you know is an ignoramus, or his wife was, right? Well according to this OP, Christ Embassy, SA is preaching and practicing a doctrine different from Christ Embassy, UK. The example you use as case study was not a result of attending "different churches" but staying and living apart for too long, which created room for other things to set in. Besides, I was thinking what you meant to say would be along the line of wife attending Catholic Church and husband attending Mountain of Fire ministries. |

CandidSeeker: JESUS IS GOD.
… If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
… And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
- Jn 14:5-14
I and my Father are one. - Jn.10:30
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. - Col.2:9
…For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah.9:6 (The Names revealed who came.)
-Peace. OK, that is like saying the son of PMB is PMB. After all his father's blood runs in his veins. Abi? As above so below, remember? |

VULCAN: So you have blatantly ignored the crux of the matter.
What a shame!
Many people are unaware that the industrial revolution rode on the back of a spiritual revolution in Europe.
Many of the great inventors and scientists back then were Christians.
Its the opposite today. No great thinkers are found in the church again because of people like you who dodge the responsibility that Christ gave to give light to the world because Evangelism is the only way you feel you can impact the world.
Shame! Let me take a cue from you. Jesus, light of the world, right? Meaning Nigeria right now having "light" problems, what is church doing about it as the custodian of the "light?" We have forgotten that Gregor Mendel, the father of modern genetics, was a Friar. (Friars are different from monks in that they are called to live the evangelical counsels (vows of poverty, chastity and obedience) in service to society, rather than through cloistered asceticism and devotion. Wikipedia) |

How many people in Nigeria succeeds "because of" Government?

"In spite of" is the opposite of "because of" |

@wjames
please correct your title, there is nothing like "Infiniti QX56 JEEP", but "Infiniti QX56 SUV"
Jeep is a brand name just like Infiniti
I don't think Jeep is yet merged with Infiniti to produce Infiniti Jeep.
SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is a category of car, which is the proper term to use. |
