Nobody is truly a Dullard, after all our President is said to be a "Dullard" by some broke-ass-wise-guys.
I didn't understand life back then when I thought little of the other guys in my class that didn't do well in academics, because some of them are now employers of Labour in their businesses, living a comfortable life with their families.
Untill you find and do what you are good at and succeed at it, you are a dullard. |

allcomage: while they keep us busy hating igbo, they continue to drain our resources and polluting our environment. this calls for common sense.nigeria gave us 13,% and biafra is offering us at least 50%.are minorities not supposed to queue up and be in the forefront to actualize biafra project. imagine 85%of our oil is owned by the north and sw constitutes majority of oil personnel.do we have the cohesion needed to champion resource control? we are about to miss another opportunity presented to us on a platter of gold. ss nationalities wake up from your slumber. so we don't want to be like other oil producing countries like Dubai Oman Bahrain Qatar etc?i know the n and sw are laughing at us as fools behind us. South Sudan is also an oil producing country, are they better off after the secession? Is Egypt, Tunisia, Libya better off after the "Arab spring?" I am not against the Nigerian Jews wanting their Eldorado, but they should remember others want theirs too, which may be a different thing altogether. The igbos want the South South to support their push for Biafra, did the SE support the SS when the SS pushed for oil resource control? Biafra is not a shared dream, if and when I will dream of secession, it won't be Biafra. |

Yes, my parents experienced and survived the "Biafran heart attack" first hand, and it would be foolish of me to think that experience was a figment of my parents imagination. Besides I didn't say I am the only one that knows these things, unless you are saying you are one of the ignorant ones. |

shortgun: Lies. Killing and maiming innocent civilians is the trademark of the Hausa Fulani aka Federal troops, they still do it till date.
Don't forget that after Benue down to the Atlantic Ocean everybody is igbo or Iyamiri in the eyes of any Hausa man till date. The minority suffered the same fate with the igbos, they were massacred in the north. They had no choice than to join Biafra.
Don't also forget that the second highest ranking military officer in the Biafran Army was from the minority....... In Biafra there was nobody was marginalized because of where they came from. The Ibibio land is replete with the atrocities of the Biafran army. I have come to know some water Wells that were used as mass grave, one that is easy to locate in the heart of Uyo is in Methodist Primary school, Oron Road. As for minorities in the Biafran army, doesn't mean anything, were there no Yorubas fighting on the side of Biafra? |

Everyone is entitled to his opinion but...
Is FFK insinuating that because Lord lugard didn't consult us before the amalgamation of Nigeria, the same should be repeated with Biafra and the South South minorities? How wise of him.
It is good he has acknowledged Nnamdi Kanu as the greatest leader since the civil war, meaning even the Yorubas, like the South South minorities that he sought to belittle, has no significant leader to rally them.
When the Jews left Egypt, according to Bible, they didn't co-opt anyone to go with them, so if the Jews in Nigeria are leaving for the wilderness, I wish them safe journey. |

fulanmafia: An embargo is a government order that restricts commerce or exchange with a specified country or the exchange of specific goods. An embargo is usually created as a result of unfavorable political or economic circumstances between nations. It has nothing to do with international law.
N:B No more free lessons over here, Google is your friend. international law: a body of rules established by custom or treaty and recognized by nations as binding in their relations with one another. There you are, take embargo or international law at least two nations must be involved. |
Politics › Re: Will Igbos Be Deported From Nigeria If Biafra Is Declared? by menxer: 5:02pm On May 31, 2017 |
laudate: Guy, na you suppose check your reasoning, now. You were the one who originally assumed that international laws would govern the relationship that Nigeria would have with Biafra. When the error of your logic was pointed out, you resorted to this. Kindly read up on the difference between international law and domestic legislation.
Now let me answer your questions. When UK enacted immigration laws against Nigerians and other Commonwealth citizens, it was done because such immigration laws fell within their sovereign purview, and the law was (and still is) enforced by its own border control agency, upon those coming into its country.
Immigration Enforcement is currently handled by a division of the UK Home Office, which is responsible for enforcing immigration laws, in the United Kingdom.
Now if you like, do not get a UK visa in your Nigerian passport, before you get to any UK entry point. You will be deported on the next plane back to Lagos. That is the enforcement of their immigration law. And all that you have explained is the domestic law that guides the relationship between the UK and Nigeria? How do you define international law? |

Politics › Re: Will Igbos Be Deported From Nigeria If Biafra Is Declared? by menxer: 4:14pm On May 31, 2017 |
laudate: Bros, there is no law that compels two sovereign nations to establish international diplomatic relations with one another. It takes two to tango. You cannot automatically assume that Nigeria will establish diplomatic relations with Biafra, if it becomes an independent country tomorrow...
By the way, who would enforce these international laws that you made reference to? The United Nations? Do you know how many communiques, resolutions, meetings and committees would have to be created to compel one country to accede to the wishes of another? It's like you argue for arguing sake without recourse to the points you raised. When you said UK enacted immigration laws against Nigerians back then, who help them enforce it? Nigeria can make a law not to trade with Biafra, it is still an international law because it guides the relationship between two sovereign countries. Must international law be enforced by a third party? Na wa to your reasoning. |
Politics › Re: Will Igbos Be Deported From Nigeria If Biafra Is Declared? by menxer: 3:38pm On May 31, 2017 |
laudate: Bros, grow up. Nobody is reasoning from a position of hate. We are just telling you the reality on the ground. You know very little about international law and diplomacy, to think that pressure can be brought to bear on a sovereign country on how it conducts its internal affairs with regard to immigration. Prior to 1976, Nigerians as well as other commonwealth citizens did not need a visa to visit the united Kingdom. All that changed, when the UK govt enacted new laws to prevent the influx of immigrants. What did the international community do about it? Nothing.
There are several other countries that have changed their immigration policy to suit their socio-economic reality. What has the international community done about it? Zero. Were you not on this planet when Saudi Arabia refused to receive fellow Middle-Eastern neighbours from Syria and other war-torn areas, into its borders? What did the rest of the world do? They allowed Saudi Arabia to have its own way.
Nigeria is a signatory to a lot of international treaties. How many has it domesticated locally? Even the ones it has domesticated, how many have been complied with? Continue to bank on international diplomacy to resolve issues, that cannot be backed up by any means of enforcement. I laugh in Cantonese!! You are banking on the rest of the world to use diplomacy to fight the cause of your Biafran citizens within Nigeria, the same way you chaps thought that Trump would support your plans for secession. Una well done! You misunderstood my using international diplomacy to mean international community pressuring Nigeria. What I meant is, when two countries are relating with each other it's international diplomacy. International means "beyond national boundaries," in the event Biafra becomes a sovereign country Nigeria's national laws would no longer apply to them but international laws and by that I don't mean to say new laws would not be made in that regard. Besides, I am not a Biafran or IPOB sympathizer, this is just my opinion for the sake of this discussion. |

It won't get to that archaic method, the option to neutralize would be made available to those that doesn't want to go back or have dual citizenship.
Though laudate has a point, of Biafrans wanting to eat their cake and still have, those that would be affected are mostly those in sensitive positions in federal employ, but then nobody can force those that want to stay in and be Nigerian to go. |
