PoliticsRe: Senators Angry With Osinbajo For Supporting Magu by menxer: 6:38am On Apr 16, 2017
Aufbauh:
The senators should go and hang themselves for all i care.

Prof. Osinbajo (SAN) position is a probable constitutional authority. If they are not satisfied they should approach the supreme court for interpretation as the burden of proof is on them.

Section 171(1) of the 1999 constitution as amended has bring to nullity the EFCC act they are sole relying upon to the extent of its inconsistent.
My Broda, I was looking out for a comment from any of the senators in line with the bolded, but they are all rambling about EFCC act.
Imagine one saying the VP's position on the matter is not the President's position.

Yes, just that the stashing is equally uncovered and recovered.

Christianity EtcRe: Evidence Of Jesus by menxer: 11:57am On Apr 15, 2017
phlopholly:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore . . .
—Revelation 1:18

Certain laws of evidence hold in the establishment of any historic event. Documentation of the event in question must be made by reliable contemporary witnesses. There is more evidence that Jesus rose from the dead than there is that Julius Caesar ever lived, or that Alexander the Great died at the age of 33. It is strange that historians will accept thousands of facts for which they can produce only shreds of evidence. But in the face of the overwhelming evidence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, they cast a skeptical eye and hold intellectual doubts. The trouble with many people is that they do not want to believe. They are so completely prejudiced that they cannot accept the glorious fact of the resurrection of Christ on Bible testimony alone.

Prayer for the day
Lord Jesus, I know You are alive—for You live in the hearts of all those who love You!
@bolded, isn't that ironic, one has to believe based on bible testimony alone, despite the abundance of "overwhelming" evidences?

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday confirmed the appointment of world-famous Jelani Aliyu reputed to be the designer of the Chevrolet Volt as the director-general of the Nigerian Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).
.
.
.

As exciting as it appears to have Mr Jelani Aliyu head the Nigerian automotive council, it remains to be seen if he would be eager to leave his position at GM for the quite uncertain terrain of a Nigerian agency where decision making is bound to be affected by political interests.

The poser presumes Aliyu was not consulted before the appointment.

Christianity EtcWhy We Take Shortcuts In Life by menxer(op):
The main reason for taking a shortcut is to by-pass processing the time leading up to the time of "the" instance of an event, which would have entailed (taking notice of a previous instance prior to taking the notice...)^n, ...

So you just take a shortcut (shortest possible distance between two exclusively opposite options of the event) to get to your destination (an instance in the immediate future of an event), knowing that not much would go out of sync to warrant taking a shortcut at that instance of the event...

The shortcut to living a comfortable life here and now is to have money. All our plans and activities are funneled into creating a shortcut to money.

A Comfortable life: A life filled with enough forms of distractions from the tedium.

What pain?
There is nothing to learn from Christians about telling the truth
Even some of your brethrens admitted to The Economist of London that you publish fake "Qur'an"

http://www.economist.com/node/10311317

Since you believe that you can lie in order to serve God, I pity your religion, and your claim to like the truth is utter falsehood
Afterall your brethrens first put blacks in chains in order to liberate them
Hahahahahahahahaha

In Nigeria, that there is a broad division into north/south, or Muslim/Christian, does not mean that there are no minority of pagans, atheists, free thinkers, etc; So in a public discourse of this nature, bringing in your personal (non)religious belief is not necessary, since you have to/ought to align your argument for or against the content/context of the OP.

Is the entire thread not tribal?
Is your post about not tribal?
You must be ashamed of yourself emerging from your bigoted tribal cesspit, accusing another of your passtime

The Igbos and Yorubas arguing here are in a tribal division caused by me?
Please hurry, hurry, quickly alert them that I am the bogey man driving a wedge between them

The "truth" needs no defense, it can stand alone and the test of time.

And I must agree with whatever SLS says? Are artisans not being imported from neighbouring countries into the South?
Is it not true that you are a Christian speaking truth about Islam? Same "truth" PDP speaks about APC and vice versa
"Did he mention Christians"
Religious bigotry is what you are practising

Go and tell your people to stop burning witches!
Always judging and using propaganda to sell religion

I went to a public school in the South and never had one minute lesson in IRK but had to buy Songs of Praise, study CRK
Emulate indeed!
I feel your painment, kpele.

I know the "truth" is not gotten wholesale but in bits and piecing it all together is not a task for the faint hearted.

You are a Christian, right?

So do you accept the "truth" of what APC says about PDP?
See you, looking for where to plant a wedge of division. first tribal, religion, then party.

The "truth" needs no defense, it can stand alone and the test of time.

Besides, if you reread the Emir's post, you did see he is advocating the Muslims in the North emulate an aspect of the Christians from the south, how else do you preach peace & unity?
PoliticsRe: Most Technicians In Kano Are From South; While Untrained Indigenes Beg - Sanusi by menxer: 8:09am On Apr 13, 2017
Alexis11:
Lol.... True.

But somebody should remind the OP of other major and minor tribes in the South.

Sanusi did not mention anyone in particular.
Neither did he mention any tribe in the North, but the conservativism of Islam as practiced in Nigeria, especially in the north.

The Emir is very correct in what he said and it resonates with my thinking.

Islamic knowledge does not produce AK-47.

We must be ready to accept the truth though it maybe contrary to what we believe or expected.

I didn't say Paul died so that the body can have life. I said he suffered death, I was referring to this verse:

"So then death is working in us, but life in you." (2Cor 4:12).
You said, "Paul said he suffers death so that the rest of body can have life"

See how you twist scripture to fit your definition in defense of collective experience?

Even if I concede that the "he" in the bolded does not refer to Paul, it still emphasizes the experience of death at the individual level not the collective.

Paul said he suffers death so that the rest of body can have life. The experience is not all about the individual but for the sake of the body, hence the collective is on emphasis.
So Paul died that the body can have life?
That's a new one.

If you have someone whose opinion on spiritual matters you respect do discuss this with him/her.

Everyman to his own, if your personal spiritual evolution is dependent on the collective experience keep to it.

Yea Yea, in the imagination of the inventors, I guess.

The coffin’s pillow and mattress were filled with plants and vegetables that gave off a strong smell, probably to hide the smell of the corpse, but also to preserve it. There were lavender, mint, hops and juniper berries. ”
However, the most surprising thing was that they found a plenty of documents narrating different versions of the alleged life of the son of God, Jesus of Nazareth.
The discovery suggests that senior leaders of the Catholic Church hid the evidence that proves that the history of the Messiah was only an invention to carry out the purposes of the order.

Among the documents could be found the stories of hundreds of prophets who had a life very similar to that of Christ, among which stand out the figures of Horus, Mithra, Krisna, Dionysius, etc.

I'm talking about the body of Christ, are the thieves the body of Christ? Of course no
But the body of Christ are meant to experience the suffering of the cross. That is why Paul said, "that I may know... the fellowship of his suffering, being conform to his death..." (Phi 3:10).
What you have failed to understand or notice is, all the quotes you quoted lay emphasis on individual experience as against collective experience, which is the crux of the thread.

Can't you see even your arguments defeat the proposition you started out to uphold and defend?
