I submitted at the VI centre. Had my interview on the 27th of July. Documents transferred to Sheffield on the 29th. Decision mail on the 10th. Collection mail on the 13th.

Hello house. A friend erred while filling the VISA APPLICATION FORM. She put Sept 23, 2015 as finish date instead of Sept 23, 2016. The correct date reflects on her CAS though. Could this be a problem?

Yes, you'll have to pay for the IHS again while they work a way to refund the initial payment.
This happened to me yesterday too.
I'm just gonna pay again and sweat for the refund.

I actually paid for the IHS in June but its requesting that I pay again while applying for the VISA.

Yes. Its not good at all.
*Non-EU students will be barred from working while studying in Britain
*Will have to leave the UK when their course ends under immigration curbs
*Students told they can only apply for a work visa once they have left.

Well I hope it doesn't pass through as the plans will be presented to MPs next week. If approved, students from outside the EU will have to leave the UK before applying for a work visa if they want to return to the country.

This 30days thingy about travelling after Visa is obtained. I just checked the UKCISA site, it seems if one does not travel, u'll have to reapply for another 30-day vignette AND NOT anoda visa application.

U already have your visa ( and I suppose you don't need to supply all those plenty documents again).

On successful visa application, a vignette is attached to your passport.
This vignette is valid for 30 days. The 30 days could start from your date of intended travel or the date the visa is issued ( if the visa is issued later than your intended date of travel).
If this 30 days runs out without action, you'll have to
re-apply.

OK.......... I should agree with you.
Its stated that one needs to pay £2,000 initial deposit before a CAS is issued but I felt you already have some waivers hence, you didn't have to deposit.
Just asking; did you tell the person you called that you already have some awards in the form of partial scholarships?
If you did, please do as she says.

Well Petitediva, you don't need to pay for the CAS.
Since you've gotten some help in the form of both partial Scholarship, the U of Nottingham will acknowledge it on your CAS and then write the balance on it too.
However, you should be able to show enough proof of funds in the form of a bank statement.

I received a 50% scholarship from the university of Nottingham and then my department in the same school gave me a £4250 bursary so instead of paying £22850 I am just going to pay £7025 for tuition fees. I have a letter for the scholarship with the whole sponsor code and all. I was also sent the bursary letter. According to them, they are also going to include it in my CAS.

Hi Petitediva, congrats on your scholarship at the U of Nottingham. Thank God, I got 100% scholarship too. I think you should try download the application guidance document on the U of Nottingham's website as it clearly states the category an applicant belongs to. I've inboxed you. Try to respond, so that we can align.

I paid online with Zenith's mastercard send the IHS number to your school cus they would need it for your CAS. I saw the number on the CAS I received today.

You don't need the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) Number in order to process your CAS. It doesn't need to be on your CAS. CAS relates mainly to issues of finannce i.e. if you've paid the required deposit, e.t.c.
At least, I confirmed this from my school.

Well according to the information on their website, the VISA offices in Lagos or Abuja, will be used to process Express Entry applicants alone. Not Federal Skilled Workers Applicants.
