henmaris:Congratulobia. I'm happy to hear this. Wish you speedy processing. |
ANBAKO:Congrats ANBAKO. Many more good news to follow. Please when was your application received? |
Hello Damkollins. Please what is the email address CIC normally uses to send PER notifications? I want to add this email address to my valid email addresses so that it doesn't go to my Spam folder which I don't check often. I've observed that most mails in my spam folder normally disappear even while I'm viewing it. I just want to do this as a precautionary measure, in order to prevent losing or wrongly waiting for mail that might have arrived. By the way, I am an Oct 14th applicant. So I'm hopeful to receive a +ve reply from CIC very soon. Thanks and CHEERS ![]() |
damkollins:Congrats Mr Damkollins. Your news has made my day. A big congrats to Mr Cheers!!!!! |
I sleep 1-3 in day time and 4-7 in evenings. But 7 sweet sha. |
ukrsc:Was it 6.5 overall or you scored 6.5 in each part. Please post result here. |
Well, I wish everyone goodluck. Based on the new info, those applying for Express Entry will have a lot to do. Just praying that God helps me. October14th applicant |
ferdimako:Lol, you are right. I'm forever thankful for the help you guys gave. I and my wife are doing fine. Honestly ehn!, I would have been in a deep mess if not for my wife. And I wouldn't have been able to make that quick "will you marry me " question if not for guru Solowise,Ferdimako, Damkollins and others I can't really remember. I'm grateful to you all as my marriage has brought me good job. One that pays me 3x my former. One which may have me thinking of permanently moving or just wifey. Anyways, I'll keep the house posted while I wait for the PER. |
saxywale:Lol |
saxywale:Hi saxy. The guy in Iraq has been working there since Sadam's time. For him, his family needs to be on a safe side while he works hard for the cash. You say Iraq, I tell you, he is earning close to 1.55 times the amount his mates in ExxonMobil, Chevron or Total are earning, not to mention Shell. He's got free accommodation and only feeds when he's off their facility. I.e. just say 12-14 days a month. I'm not doubting whatever uou are saying, that's why I've always said "these are my observations and opinions". I fully respect yours. |
Hotstepper:Their aim would have been achieved. The aim which is very clear-Safeguarding the future of their kids. Besides, he can always visit. In my opinion, its "more in favour" of those who don't have killer jobs in their country of origin. Just my observation and opinion. |
ferdimako:Well, "I think" Ferdimako is not too wrong. I have 2 guys who work I'm Chevron and Shell respectively. They moved their spouse there and came back to continue their work, because, they might not get a job that may pay as high as they've got now. The Chevron guy moved three weeks ago. A third guy I know, is a Nigerian in Iraq. The guy earns more than his contemporaries in Chevron and ExxonMobil. My "Broses" , the guy moved three days ago and plans to evaporate Canada when his leave is over due to his impressive job in Iraq. IRAQ O!! My classmate got a job recently in a Nigerian school, just plans to settle his family there while he comes back because, he's got other "shows" to run here. He should be back soonest So there are a lot of critical thinking in making decisions like this. E.g. 1. Most will move permanently if their financial/life standard is not up to par in their country of origin. 2. Most will just land with their families, settle them and leave almost immediately because the salaries earned in their country of origin will be OK to take care of their families and avoid been a middle-class guy in Canada while he can live big here in naija and still "spoil" his family in Canada |

Please you guys should stop these POF wahala. For me, I've used some part of the POF I initially submitted. But can provide an updated POF within 3 days or 1 week max. My friend who moved last week, didn't even show POF at MR request "because the initial POF" was still OK for him and his wife that he added later. So its quite situational. But even if a background check is done after first submission to the CIC and they see the account balance is red, they'll ask for and updated POF. That's all I guess. |
damkollins:Congrats Damkollins. All the best. |
MrsDGN:Congrats. |
sftt:No. Just that for undergraduate. |
Danchiks:You must submit your certificate for your undergraduate study. Submitting of transcript is optional. |
solomonwis:Hello fuzzyt. Congrats on your MR. What's your visa processing office? |

fuzzyt:A big congratulobia to you. We thank God for his mercies. This is pretty fast, really fast. |
azeezbaba:CIC will not process new permanent resident visa applications made by foreign nationals who have been in an Ebola affected country (which includes having resided, travelled or transited) within three months prior to the date the application is received by CIC. These Instructions do not apply to applications from foreign nationals with valid temporary resident status applying for permanent residence while in Canada. In order for an officer to issue an approval (final positive decision) of a pending permanent residence visa application, the officer must be satisfied that the applicant has not been in an Ebola affected country (which includes having resided, travelled or transited) in the three-month period prior to the issuance of a visa or other document under section 11 of IRPA. |
bjayzeez:She'll have to take the General training test version as CIC only accepts the General training test version. |
The magic number looks to be like 5223.. |
bo2014:Exams and records. |
whitneyhazel:Lol. Amen. |
meta4:Thank God for the turnaround. But if you read their site thoroughly, you'll see that the remarking period takes almost that time. So they are not entirely wrong. Congrats anyway. |
larion:According to the official information, this programme is ending on the last day of April 2015. So you can still apply if your NOC is not filling up fast. Secondly, there is no advantage of using an agent. It's a process that you can do on your own. My uncle started the process around 2010/2011 and he did the process himself and successfully travelled in 2012. I was quite ignorant of the process as at Mid-may but thanks to gurus in the house who have enlightened me thus far. I successfully submitted my application this month and by God's grace, i'll make it alongside other nairalanders. |
damkollins:thanks. My uncle was already bugging me to inform CIC when i don't have a UCI. I'm for the 2014-2015 timeline |
My questions still haven't been answered by the house. The question is on this page. Lahor, Biko Thanks. |
Hello house & Hi damkollins. Congrats once again on your MR. To the glory of God too, I just got another job; and i'm asking if it is necessary to inform CIC now. I applied under 2131 and my new job is not related to it but I just had to leave because the pay nor be mate (x3 of my former). Also in respect to DoubleBam2x's post, i believe my type of assesment with WES can be independently viewed by CIC. Lastly, how was your medicals or you haven't gone? ( I remember helping my Uncle find his way to Yaba hospital then in 2012). As things stand now, you may not celebrate Easter in Nigeria. Any help damkollins? |
